Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
It was a peaceful day, the sun was shining and you could hardly tell it was heading into leafbare. A ginger and white kit rolled in a dusty patch, working dirt into his coat. He had recently learned that he was adopted though it hadn’t come as a big shock considering he had two mothers, though he did look a bit like Goldenstar. Apparently his birth mother, Crimsonrose had left his siblings and him in the safety of DayClan while she went to talk to WinterClan. That had been when he was just born and she hadn’t been back since. Of course he never thought much of it. He had parents who loved him and siblings to play with. Not to mention DayClan offered up a lot of entertainment just by sitting around camp. So many interesting and possibly volatile cats.
"Heads up!" A warning call came too late as a moss ball sailed over and landed on Austerekit's head. "Sorry!" A squeaky voice cried. Dealingkit, one of Austerekit's denmates hurried over. The black and white she cat's blue eyes were wide. "I didn't realize it was going to sail that far!"
Austerekit rolled over and up into his feet. He batted the ball back with a big grin. “It’s fine” he really hoped she wasn’t spooked, he knew his parents far outranked hers though he wasn’t sure how that transferred to kits. Regardless Austerekit genuinely wanted to be friends with everyone. He really took after his great-grandmother in that regard, willing to give everyone several chances. So far he had talk to anyone who would listen to him, which unfortunately meant several forsaken members who had more or less been ordered to by whoever they were servants to. Austerekit knew that and so he wanted to make real friends.
Dealingkit caught the mossball. "Great! Wanna play then?" She asked. Her mother Soaringbird had fed Austerekit and his siblings when Crimsonrose had left so she and her littermates were fairly familiar with the other litter.
The black and white kit had wanted to avoid the adults since she'd caught a few, especially Vixenkismet, giving her weird looks. But Austerekit wasn't giving her a weird look, he seemed to just want to play and that made her happy.
Austerekit was not exactly known for being smart, so unsurprisingly he got several of the black and white kits confused. His birth mother probably would not be pleased in the way that he was growing up, incredibly sweet and not all that smart. After a fight involving his older sister he had heard whispers about his biological mother, but Fia had made sure that he didn’t hear much of it. Not to mention that no one wanted to say anything bad about Goldenstar’s kits. Plus if anyone upset him he was pretty sure would at the very least maim them.
“Of course” he bounced on his feet, full of energy that never seemed to run out. He was cheery thing who simply glowed in the sunshine. If you looked past his lack of intelligence he would be a picture perfect DayClan cat. Of course that is just what he wanted to be, though unlike other kits he didn’t want to be a leader. It looked like to much work, he would rather just be a good warrior, maybe immortal council when he got really old.
