Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Gray clouds stretched across the sky in one ugly sheet, no end in sight. Frost rimed the ferns, a dusty layer obscuring the fading greenery underneath it, and the air nipped into the bare skin of Sunkit's paws and nose. The little diva appeared particularly upset by the absence of sunlight. She listlessly paced around in Ratstar's den, but, realizing that he would not be coming back soon to entertain her, dared to venture out into the unforgiving, cold world. "I'm going to die out here," she lamented to no one in particular, "I'm going to freeze to death. A Sunkit-cicle. How does anyone live this way?"

"Hey, hey pssst," a voice mewed, small in quiet in the cold air. "Hey, you can join me in here." The voice came from a pile of leaves swept to the side of camp, where a pair of amber eyes peered out. Guppykit was cold too, already missing the warmth of the sun. But he was trying to make the most of it and had discovered he was just a bit warmer buried in these leaves. Here he could hide and observe camp while not freezing his tail off, but it was lonely and quite dull. Sunkit, though he didn't know her well, seemed like the perfect companion.
Her exceptional perception did not miss the pile of leaves, bunched into a suspiciously cat-shaped bundle; it did, however, miss the actual cat underneath, and Sunkit jumped as the leaves suddenly addressed her. Without thinking, she hammered her paws down into the pile and pummeled the leaf monster viciously. "Die, leaf monster!" It was only after most of Guppykit's cover was strewn around them on the ground that she realized it was a clanmate, not some malevolent forest sprite, that had disguised himself, and she sneered, "And just what did you think you were doing?"

"Heeyyy," Guppykit whined as his leaves were scattered and the cold let in. Rolling to dodge the paws of the apparently leaf-hating Sunkit, though in her attack on his fortress she'd gotten a few hits in. Ruffled and indignant, he straightened up to face his assailant, "well, wh-what was that for? I was just inviting you into the warmer leaves!"
She fluffed up her coat rather indignantly. "Only a dummy would cover themselves like that and expect not to get hit!" Sunkit snapped at him, most of her anger at this point fueled by embarrassment, having really thought he was a sentient leaf monster. "Besides, if you're so cold, why not go cry to your mommy and cuddle up to her?"

His expression turned wounded as he regarded her, shocked by her attitude, "I- well I don't have a mommy. And the leaves were warm if you stayed under them long enough." Guppykit had had a mommy, maybe he still did, but Willowfish was gone for now. His whole family had dwindled down to nothing as of late. The orange and white cat sniffed and looked away, "sorry for scaring you."
"Thanks." Another cat might have acknowledged his bruised feelings and obvious pain at the mention of family, but Sunkit seemed visibly uncomfortable. She shuffled her paws and glanced elsewhere around the camp for some escape route but came up empty. "Well," she hedged instead, "how are you gonna entertain me? Put on a show, leaf-boy."

"I'm still cold," Guppykit insisted, "so I'm going to rebuild my leaf pile." He was uncomfortable around Sunkit now, unsure of her or her temper. Sure, Guppykit liked to joke around and be friends with everyone, but Sunkit seemed especially grouchy. Still, she did seem interested in sticking around for the moment, "but I suppose we could play a game first?"
Interested wasn't the word Sunkit would use, more like desperate. But she was short on options, so she said, "Yeah, sure, a game. Whatever. Just make sure it's fun." She feigned authority over the matter when really her lack of suggestions stemmed from the fact that she didn't play enough games to think of even one. Fun meant something different to her than most.

"Pfft, all games are fun, you silly goose." Guppykit glanced around thoughtfully, tail flicking slight. "Mossball, truth or dare, hide and seek? What do you usually like?" He was a fan of games of any kind, and since Sunkit had agreed to spend time with her he was eager to entertain her. Perhaps her attitude would improve.
"The last game I played was with Fisherkit. We killed all the sky ants." Guppykit, for the first time, would catch sight of the smallest grin on Sunkit's maw as she recalled the game. She had been just as reluctant to partake in that one but it had ended up being pretty fun (fat chance of her admitting it). "Other than that, I dunno. What's the most fun?"

[ I'm so sorry for the slow activity, the end of 2020 really, really wanted to do any damage it could ]
"Sky ants?" Guppykit cocked his head before shaking it, "nevermind, doesn't matter. Um... mossball is fun. Truth or dare is lots of fun, one time I dared Twisterdestruction to eat a flower, it made him sneeze. I don't know... "
What things did she like? Besides, perhaps sky ants?
"Hmmm, no that won't do," she said after a long, pensive pause. "We need to make our own game. Something really, really fun and then everyone else will be jealous." She did not have the best motives, really, but this was a rare glimpse of a not bitter and biting Sunkit. Her vibrant blue gaze scanned across the camp in search of something that would interest her-- and that's when she saw it. "C'mon, Guppykit. Over here."
(I'm not sure where I'm going with this yet so feel free for guppy to catch on if you have any ideas xD if not I'll make up something random next post)

(lol gotcha, i'll throw something in xD)
Guppykit saw where she was leading them and cocked his head, "Twisterdestruction's rock collection?" The garden keeper was a notorious collector, he had made himself a proud pile of different colored rocks and pebbles beside the warrior's den. Most cats left them be, respecting the odd tom's hobby with little more than a head-shake of amusement. The pebbles were all manner of colors, some reddish and some blue, and a very pretty dark green one that was streaked with the typical gray of rocks. "What do you wanna do with them?"
"Mhmm," she confirmed when he spoke up behind her, and she brushed her tail across the stones as they got up to them. "I told you we were gonna make our own game, right? We'll just need to borrow one of these for a while." Sunkit selected the prettiest one-- that glinting jade stone-- and beckoned Guppykit over to the far side of camp where a puddle must have iced over during the night. "So we can use this and skid it across the ice, like this." She swatted the stone with her paw and watched it skid across the ice until it reached the dirt on the other side. "We can have, uhhh, goals on both sides and we have to keep the rock from hitting our goals or the other one gets a point. Doesn't that sound like fun?"

It did actually, even as he felt guilty for stealing one of Twisterdestruction's precious stones. "Okay, yeah, as long as we return it." Guppykit gathered a few twigs and set about arranging them on each end of the ice, making little boxes for both of them. He tested it by swatting the rock, satisfied when it slid neatly into the sticks. "Perfect, first one to get the rock in three times wins?" They wouldn't hurt the rock, or lose it, so surely this was okay.
"Yeahyeahyeahyeah, bring it back later, whatever!" The rock's fate after their game wasn't one of her priorities at the moment. Sunkit was laser-focused on the game they were constructing, and she prided herself on her creativity, which she was sure would make all her littermates jealous if they saw her playing a new-and-imrpoved game of mossball. "Since it was my idea, I suppose I'll give you the chance to go first. Three points to win," she agreed before she readied herself on her side of the 'field.'
