Paintedcanyon "...Your dad is here... kidnapping the high priests mate and children...?" Paintedcanyon asked, rubbing his forehead with his paw as his sides heaved. "Desertpaw..." The ginger tom let out a soft sigh. He couldn't tell the apprentice to not go with his father. It was his father. Paintedcanyon was just his mentor. "You can't just leave Sunclan, Cheif Desertpaw. Duskslayer still needs his number one inventor. Especially now that we're heading to Moonclan" racer
The Nightclan leader heard the screams and closed her eyes. It didn't feel good to hear her daughter scream in agony as she burned but it had to be done. Elementals did not belong in the forest. It was too dangerous. Besides, the Sun God had cursed her. This had to be done. She reopened her eyes a moment later to see Autumngossamer running toward her daughters. Autumn was not going to save them, Flamingstar would make sure of that.
Nightmarepaw
"Angelicpaw!" Nightmarepaw cried again as she rushed to her sister's side, thankful for her being alive but time was running out and Angelicpaw was being burned. The smell of burning flesh made her nearly gag but the desperation to save her sister pushed her passed it. She began pushing the rock with her shoulder in hopes to push it just enough for Angelicpaw to dislodge her paw but the rock was so hot it began to burn her skin. She cried in agony but refused to give up. Faith

Alabastor Alabastor had nosed the last of the injured cats out into the tunnels, when he heard the screams. Flamingstar standing overhead keeping the apprentices from escaping as she stood on the rock. He raced towards them, overhearing much of the conversation... Her daughters? She was willing to this to her own daughters? Rage built inside of him, knowing that he had made the right decision in leaving in that moment. Even if it had meant walking away from Creampuff, even if it meant hurting his own chances at happiness. Flamingstar jumped, sending the stone downwards He launched himself at Flamingstar, leaping onto her back and dragging backwards the best he could manage claws digging into whatever he could grab "I didn't know you had sunk that low" he hissed SpotFaith
Pollendrone Pollendrone ignored Scorchedwhisker as she pushed past him toward the flame filled camp, she could hear his voice but his words were not reaching her, the queen had only managed to take a step past him before he pressed against her and wrapped his tail around her. The simple act set her off and she shot him a glare. "Let go! Let go of me!" She yelled the words, her voice raw and harsh as she struggled and failed to free herself from his grip. "She can't be dead! I was just with her, I shouldn't have left her!" She struggled a little more but her movements become less and less as she grew tired, her breath leaving her from the effort. "I have to get her out, she'll burn to death if I don't get her out Schorchedwhisker." She looked up at the tom again, the pure emotion that could be heard in her voice also displayed in her eyes as she fought internally between giving up and fighting on. Nova
Flamingstar yowled in both pain and surprise as she was dragged backwards before she could spring at Autumngossamer. She ripped herself out of his claws, her flesh tearing in the process. She spun around to see Alabastor standing before her. "Turbulentsea!" She mewed in surprise, calling him by his previous Nightclan name. "What are you doing?" racer

Alabastor: The black and white tom growled, crouching down his golden eyes reflecting the flames behind her "Stopping you from making a mistake. Those are you children?" his tail lashed from one side to the other, moving himself between Flamingstar and Autumngossamer who was headed to try and save the apprentices "Is your hatred of elementals really so great that you would rather watch them burn than live on in another clan?" his narrowed in on hers "I always knew you had a darker side, but this is a new low even for you" Spot

Scorchedwhisker “Pollendrone she’s gone…!” The tom shouted, as best as he could with his hoarse voice. He reached up and grabbed her face in his paws, forcing her to look at him as he pleaded with her. “You made a promise to her… I don’t know what it was, or what you said, but whatever it is you can’t break it. That was her last wish. That’s what she said. Don’t break that promise, Pollendrone… don’t… she’s gone… Alabastor and I were there with her. She wasn’t alone… she didn’t die alone…” Scorchedwhisker took a breath as he slowly lowered his paws. He held her gaze, never once looking anywhere else. “You can hate me, you can tell me that you never want to see me again. I’ll get it. I was the one to tell you… I had to give you this news. I should have done more, and I didn’t. You can claw at me, bite me, curse my name all you want. But I am not letting you run back into that camp. I’m not letting you break that promise to her. We have to go. We have to, and if I must I’ll drag you to Moonclan with me… please, Pollendrone. Don’t break the promise to your mother…” Phantom
"Elementals are dangerous, Turbulentsea. They must be stopped!" She growled, furious that he was stopping her. "Not only that, those girls are cursed by the Sun God! Let's save the forest clans the major headache before it begins! The Sun God is dead, now let's end it all for good! Take Bloodystar for example. Look at the destruction he has caused. Look at what Bluejay is doing to Winterclan! Elementals must no longer exist!" She stomped her paw to the ground to emphasize her point. racer
Autumngossamer stared at the fire that surrounded her daughters. She would easily jump through fire for them, but it wouldn't do any good if they all got stuck together. However looking around the barren land she found nothing, but had an idea. With her wings in front of her she flung herself through the flames and out the other side. Swerving around the small circle of space they had she leapt up onto the rock, her own paws burning now as she worked with Nightmarepaw to remove the rock off of Angelicpaw's leg. Shoving it off she gripped Angelicpaw and dragged her out back onto the dusty pavement, but they were still surrounded by flames with the smoke in the air becoming thick and suffocating. Her wings wrapped around Angelicpaw, her paw reaching out to drag Nightmarepaw close to her so she would be safe.
"You'll all be alright," She promised, but wasn't sure how. Despite Autumngossamer's wing being made of fire there was no pain from the flames, only heat. "Nightmarepaw, I think I can hold my wing out and you two can climb across over the flames, just like with the rock and leap down on the other side."
Fighting a hoard of apprentices had been aggravating and she had yet to see hide or hair of her own daughter Dancingpaw in all the chaos.
A shriek of pain reached her ears and her heart leapt to her throat. She hurried towards the source wincing at the heat of the flames. She caught sight of Autumngossamer beside two small forms along with Flamingstar and Turbulentsea facing off nearby. Her ears pricked up to catch traces of Flamingstar and Turbulentsea's conversation.
'Those girls are cursed! Let's save the forest a headache before it begins.'
Burningsummer's eyes narrowed into slits and her ears flattened. "I thought you'd reached your limit Flamingstar, but you continue to surprise me with the depths you're willing to sink." She hissed as she stepped up putting herself beside the cat she knew as Turbulentsea, amber eyes blazing with fury. "Leave Autumngossamer and those girls alone. Your paranoia and fear is no justification for meaningless death. IT only makes you a worse monster than an elemental could hope to be."
Alabastor "All elementals are not to be blamed for this disaster, its the work of the few not the many" he took a step forward closing in on his former leader, his claws crimson with her blood already. He was tired of running, tired of fearing what what he was or what others would think of him once they knew "You have always been this way, seeing the world in black and white instead of shades of gray" he spit on the ground at her feet "I have heard the stories, how you screamed at Littlestar for my disappearance, but the only one to blame for me leaving is you"
His lips curled up into a smiled "I'll tell you what happened that day, but first you have to go back even farther than that. The day you ordered me to take Creampuff out to pick raspberries" he paused letting his words sink in "Oh yes you just had to get her over that fear, you couldn't have one of your future warriors afraid of such a thing. I tried to convince you other wise, but orders are orders with you. So I agreed, knowing that if I didn't take a gentle approach to it you would take the matter into your own paws and scar her. Everything was fine until those dogs attacked and she had to hid in that raspberry bush. She was ALLERGIC Flamingstar. Her throat started swelling shut, and out there with no supplies there was little I could do. I could feel her life slipping away. I fought tooth and nail to bring her back, doing everything in my power to help her hold on. Do you know what that was like? To watch the one cat I every truly loved dying before me with nothing I could do about it?" his lips curled up a disgusted look on his face "but thats when it happened"
"A connection was formed between to two of us, and my throat began to tighten. The more she improved, the worse I got until I thought I would die to. Had it not been for my apprentice I would have. It was the first time I realized why I had been chosen to serve as a medicine cat. I was an elemental" he snarled, moving forward until he caught Flamingstar's chin "It scared me. I went to StarClan for guidance and they greeted me with only silence. Still I was going to return, when I was captured. You already guessed where I woke up, but It wasn't Littlestar that had taken me... No it was Bloodystar" he shoved her backwards as hard as he could muster Spot
Nightmarepaw just wanted to hide but she knew that if she didn't move now, all three of them would be burned alive. She nodded reluctantly and climbed atop Autumn's back and across her wings, balancing precariously across. For what seemed like an eternity, she finally made it across and onto solid ground outside of the ring of fire and waited for her sister to join.
Nightclan
Flamingstar was flung backward, skidding to a halt on her side, just missing the fire. The flames lapped at her, threatening to grab her and pull her into it's fiery hell. She moved away from the flames just as it managed to singe off the tip of a couple hairs. When she knew she was at a safe distance, she turned back to Turbulentsea with wide eyes. "Your an elemental?" She ignored Burningstar's comment. She was too surprised by Turbulentsea's secret to really care much about the previous Nightclan leader. "Well, I guess it was a good riddance, then." She growled, fur bristling. "I have fought to get you back only to find that you had been keeping that secret from me! But that doesn't matter. I didn't know she was allergic to the berries! No one did! And I don't care if you saved my daughter's life! My only regret is that I allowed Ahava to save you. I should have left you to die!" racerFaithJetclaw
Pollendrone The pregnant she-cats ears flattened against her skull, her eyes forced to remain on his as he held her face in his paws, forced to listen to his words as she was unable to pull herself free and run. She felt her legs grow weak beneath her and just as Scorchedwhisker released his hold on her she collapsed to the ground, her overly round belly heaving as her breathing accelerated. "The promise..." The words pulled forth the last words she had shared with her mother before she left her to die, had that really been her last wish or was this a ploy to get Pollendrone to calm down... Either way it seemed the worst of it was over, no longer having the energy to fight back she did the only thing she could and that was give up. Her body was shaking, but the tears that had been falling had stopped, she starred at the ground not making any attempt to stand back up and rejoin the others. "Why do you care?" It was a question he would find familiar, the same question he had asked her when they had first met. Nova
Burningsummer Burningsummer's eyes widened when Albastor mentioned Flamingstar forcing Creampuff to nearly die to try and get over her fear. And then as Flamingstar spoke, the leader of NightClan mere inches from the fire. Something in Burningsummer snapped.
Gone was the feelings that perhaps Flamingstar could be saved.
No. Flamingstar was a monster. A monster who had threatened one of the cats she'd seen as a niece. A monster who was a danger to any cat in NightClan.
A monster Burningsummer let in.
It was time to correct that.
Burningsummer charged forward, crossing the distance to Flamingstar and slamming into her. Shoving her backwards, thrusting her closer to the searing fire.
"You are an absolute heartless fiend." Burningsummer spat. "Creampuff and all those kits are your children! How dare you take that love for granted!" She shouted. "Perhaps Tigerlily wasn't lying as much as she thought!" She shoved Flamingstar harder. "I should throw us both in the flames. Me the fool for ever letting you into the forest, and well getting rid of you." Her lips curled amber eyes flashing. "There'd be one less headache for the forest to deal with." Spotracer

Scorchedwhisker He laid down next to her, placing his head on the ground near hers. Scorchedwhisker wanted to show her that she wasn’t alone. Not now, and not ever. That she still had cats in her corner. His whiskers twitched as he watched her. The siamese tom slowly licked his lips as he let out a soft sigh. “…Can’t I care without a reason?” He said quietly. “I’ll keep caring either way… you kind of made it hard for me not to. So I’m going to care about you… and I don’t need a reason too. You didn’t need a reason to care about me… not when you tried to get me to eat… not when I was bleeding out after that freak cat nearly tore me to shreds… So, I don’t need a reason to care about you. And even if I needed one, I have a pretty good reason. You’re… I never had a friend like you, Pollendrone. I… I don’t want to lose that… or you. So… whatever that promise you made to your mom, keep it.” Phantom
Flamingstar felt the heat of the flames getting dangerously close to her ears but a grin curled at his lips. "That's a tempting offer, Burningsummer. How many lives do you have left? I may survive being thrown into the flames but you? Well, not sure you'd make it out with me." Flamingstar dug her claws into Burningsummer's shoulders. "Go ahead, Burningsummer. Just remember, this all goes back to you. You let me into the forest. You let me into Nightclan. The death of those apprentices would not only be because of me but because of you. If I go into those flames, you will be coming with me." Jetclaw
Burningsummer Burningsummer's grip tightened on Flamingstar, her hindpaws digging down into the ground. "I won't shoulder all your crimes with you Flamingstar, spare the wasted breath." She shoved her back harder. Even she could feel the heat now, only a cat length away from the fire.
"I let you in. But I can see to it you get taken out." Burningsummer growled, pulling her head back and slamming it against Flamingstar's in an effort to stun her.
Burningsummer's headbutt did, in fact, stun Flamingstar. However, the Nightclan leader pretended to be knocked out from the blow and as soon as Burningsummer let down her guard, Flamingstar flipped the previous Nightclan leader over to where Burningsummer was beneath Flamingstar. "That's the thing about you, Burningsummer. You don't have any skill. You rely on blind faith and strength. But that won't get you very far. Besides, you should thank me. I taught you a valuable lesson. Trust No One." Jetclaw
Burningsummer slammed her hind legs into Flamingstar's belly to drive the air out of her and raised a paw and slapped Flamingstar. "Skill is nothing when you have no faith and trust." She spat drawing all four paws back over her belly before Flamingstar could capitalize on being on top and thrust all of them up into Flamingstar's chest to shove her off. "And I think I do just fine with my strength." She hissed.
"The only lesson I've learned is that you're a cancer, how did you know those kits were elementals? Whose were they?!" She demanded.
Then a thought occurred.
She remembered talking to Echomelody.
'She did have kits but now they are missing and no one seems bothered by it.'
"No... tell me they're not yours." Burningsummer said as she recovered her paws. "Tell me you're not so cold you'd hurt your own flesh and blood!" She shouted. Spot
Flamingstar snarled and stumbled backward at Burningsummer's mighty shove, taking a moment to catch her breath that Burningsummer had taken from her. Finally, she faced Burningstar once more. "They're dangerous!" She responded, defensively. Jetclaw
