Unlike her sister, Silverfringe was fully prepared for her wedding. As she walked up the hill to join her mate, the small gems woven into the intricate lines of her body paint glimmered under the rays of the sun. She had been dreaming about this day for a long time, even though it was here far sooner than she expected. Upon the announcement that she and her siblings were to be married off, it only made sense for her to volunteer first. She was already mates with the cat chosen for her and their first litter of kits was due at any time. Instead of trying to hide her swollen belly, she had embraced it. Using the body paint to celebrate the kits she was carrying as the blessing that they were. There was no hesitation in her stride, and even though the situation was unusual she had made the most of it. The ceremony springs had been meticulously redecorated after Bloodystar and Jetfire's wedding. She wanted hers to be bigger and better, and everything even to path she walked upon had been made to suit her own tastes. Soft pink, red, and white rose petals lines the walkway. Elaborate displays of flowers and vines lines the way, an arch of woven wood with roses at the top so large it was nearly impossible to ignore. It drew the eye upwards toward the top of the hill, the sun's rays shining perfectly to were the couple would stand. Silverfringe had worked overtime to get it all ready, overseeing the progress meticulously. Everything had to be perfect, it was her wedding day.

Of course the wedding had to be better than Bloodystar's. Even Sorrowfularia knew that. They'd helped Silverfringe with it, and though they ultimately didn't appreciate being tied down to the she-cat, they'd promised and anticipated as much for the moment. They could still leave whenever, it was only their souls bound together for an eternity. All the same, they'd helped with the preparations. Everything was immaculate, and Sorrowfularia themself was adorned in the most intricate and beautiful paint they could do. All shades of yellow and gold were meticulously drawn across their pelt, and sparkling dust had been lain across the top so that the designs shimmered with each movement. Black outlined each shape, making the patterns pop across their white fur as they watched Silverfringe approach with an easy smile, black lines drawn around their green eye, and dark gold drawn around the blue.
It was Silverfringe and their wedding day, and there was no way Sorrowfularia would allow it to be less than Bloodystar's. At least they didn't have to worry about Silverfringe throwing up on them out of disgust, an idea that made their whiskers twitch in silent amusement.
Pairing Silverfringe and Sorrowfularia had been more of a last resort than Bloodystar's ideal. Both cats were like jesters to him, foils who tried to make his life miserable while not explicitly doing anything wrong, and he did not want to make them even stronger by putting them together. However, ultimately it seemed like less trouble for him to let this happen than to keep them apart. If he paired them with any other cats they would raise a stink and make it worse for him. Even now they were trying to get under his skin, what with this gaudy amount of decoration and floral arrangements, in his opinion it was gaudy and embarrassing but that's exactly what a cat who was jealous would say to live with a predicament that he could not change.
"Thank you, SunClan, for gathering here one more to show your support for this holy union," Bloodystar called out to the cats below him, his voice just a little bit tense, silencing any of the murmurs with a waive of his tail. He was painted much the same way as he had been during his own ceremony however he had been more conservative with the amount of paint he had used, a silent declaration that sometimes less was more, "Today we gather to unite the souls of Janus Sorrowfularia and Silverfringe forever and always under the Sun God's warm light and sure blessing. These two cats had displayed an undying loyalty to one another for many moons and, like Jetfire and myself, will soon welcome into the Clan the next generation of the Sun God's chosen."
With that, he motioned to two Littlestar's most recent litter of kits to begin the proceedings.
Oakshade twisted his tail around Tinymutiny's. Unlike the last ceremony, these two cats seemed to really love each other, and the idea of getting married was becoming more and more popular. MoonClan didn't really have this kind of tradition during his time. There were soul mates, yes, but cats didn't choose who to bind their souls to, Selene did. He wasn't sure which tradition he favored more but truly he didn't really care. Tinymutiny as she was now was more than enough to make his heart full. "Isn't this beautiful? Someday we might be the ones up there," He tested the waters, not sure how Tinymutiny would react, "And, someday, even our kits will. They are growing so fast."
Wolfconstellation had tried to avoid this whole thing but Arcticsong hadn't really given him the option. He was dressed up pretty as a peach and was sitting close - but not touching - to his betrothed's side. However, he was not watching the ceremony, instead playing with a surprise blade of grass to pass the time He tried to play if off as being disinterested but really he was nervous. He was too young to be married. Didn't want it. But he was sure that he and Arcticsong would be soon if not next, seeing as they were one of the few couples that Bloodystar had put together but didn't hate each other.

Silverfringe
SunClan Warrior
The Poised
Silverfringe couldn't help but to admire Sorrowfularia as she joined them at the top of the hill. They looked absolutely stunning! Of course she had spent the past week practicing different designs upon their pelt and techniques to make them really stand out so that by the time of the wedding nothing was left to chance. Every line had been carefully crafted, every design selected for both meaning and beauty. She greeted him by gently pressing her nose to their's as Bloodystar began to speak.
Their designs were two halfs of a whole, only complete now that they stood together in the bright sun. The lines of Silverfringe's design extending and meeting those of Sorrowfularia's seamlessly. She lifted her paw over the candle in offering, knowing what was to come next.

Ferventkit
SunClan kit
The Devoted
Ferventkit bounced over to the waiting couple carrying a large vine that extended outwards far longer than her own body with the help of her siblings. She had delicate lines of body paint woven through out her body, though it was no were near as elaborate as the couples.
Tinymutiny leaned into Oakshade, she wanted to enjoy the wedding but there was still something wrong about this whole thing. Weddings were supposed to be a way for couples to express their love for one another, the ultimate proclamation that they would stand by one another's side for all eternity. Her gaze drifted up to Bloodystar, freezing in place. And yet, here they were having arranged marriages. Cats that didn't care for one another at all forced to bind their souls together as one. At least Silverfringe and Sorrowfularia seemed to be happy, but that didn't mean what he was doing was right "Lets hope not..." she looked over at Oakshade worry clearly written into her features. It wasn't that she didn't want to marry him, but concern for her own children far outweighed the romance of the moment "Do you really want to see one of our daughters up there marrying a cat they didn't choose?"

Scorchedwhisker looked as though he could care less about what was happening around him. He sat with his head bent, crouching down as his blue eyes looked around before begrudgingly looking up at Bloodystar. Blissfulkit sat between his legs, her head tilting from side to side as she listened to their high priest. She looked up at her brother, ears twitching. “Hey, Scorchedwhisker, what does it mean too… uhm… unite two souls together?” The little kit asked. Scorchedwhisker let out a small scoff as his whiskers twitched. He glanced down at the tiny kit between his paws. “It means they’re stuck with each other for the rest of their lives.” He grumbled sarcastically. Blissfulkit looked up dreamily at the ceremony, not able to notice her brother’s sarcasm. “That sounds so romantic…” The lanky siamese tom rolled his eyes, gently swatting at her ears. “Just be quiet and pay attention.”
Weed didn’t want to be there, to witness another one of these marriages. She would have rather stayed in the camp. The she-cat was already on thin ice with the high priest. The tortoiseshell was determined to become a warrior again and reclaim her name. She sat at the edge of the large crowd, her tail curled neatly around her paws. Despite her recent demotion, Weed still sat with the proud air of a Sunclan warrior.
Honeybee couldn’t be more excited. He loved weddings! Everything was decorated, and beautiful! Not to mention the kits helping with the ceremony was the cutest thing he’d ever seen! A loud purr rumbled in the yellow tabby’s chest as he looked up at the high priest and the couple. His paws twitched as they kneaded the ground. He wondered if this ceremony would end a bit more joyfully than Bloodystar’s.
Honestkit jumped up quickly when Reverentkit carried the vine forward, he'd be caught off guard looking around at all the cats that were gathered at the spring. The young kit hadn't spent much time out of his mother's nest and in the moment, was overwhelmed enough to nearly miss his cue. Slightly panicked the tabby tom quickly griped the vine in his teeth, hurrying after his litter-mate.
For once Ruinedportrait was the picture of innocence. Bright eyed and bushy tailed as she sat near the front of the crowd of cats. She was happy for her litter-mate, truly. Lucky for him it seemed that he actually liked Silverfringe so she would gladly support them now if this made them happy. She was just glad she wasn't the one getting married to anyone.
"Well..." Oakshade looked away from Tinymutiny, unable to answer the question. It was hard. On one hand, this couple seemed happy to be with one another, but he'd also heard some of the... less than savory reactions, such as Lionpride and Pollendrone and Brilliantbeacon and Shadowking, and the thought of any of his kits being put in that position made his blood boil, "... So long as our kits are happy, I will be happy. I won't let anything bad happen to them." Was that delusional or optimistic? It sounded like both, but Oakshade didn't like to spend too much time in 'what if' scenarios. It didn't matter what you planned ahead because the second you do, you get thrown a screwball. He wrapped his tail around Tinymutiny's waist, "I wonder which one of them will take a mate first. In SunClan it seems most cats have their perfect match picked before they are even Warriors, haha." racer
Perfectkit had grown a bit too big to fit in with the rest of his siblings as the carrier of the vine and instead sat near the front rows to watch. His golden brown eyes shown brightly as he looked up at his adoptive father, aunt and soon to be... uncle-in-law? But Sorrowfularia was already his uncle, being Bloodystar's littermate. And technically Silverfringe was his sister, not his aunt. He tried not to think about it too hard. Families were complicated.

Sorrowfularia gave a soft smile, nodding their head almost imperceptibly when Silverfringe raised her paw, their own lifting in perfect unison. May as well get on with it, though they couldn't help giving Bloodystar a smug glance, knowing full well he was likely jealous over the perfection that was their wedding.

Silverfringe smiled saying the first of the vows as the vine was wrapped around their paws "I promise to be faithful to you, heart, body, and soul" she looked to him her eyes shimmering, when a flurry of footsteps caught her attention as Discordantmelody appeared racing straight up to Bloodystar. Silverfringe huffed "Excuse you, can't you see that we are in the middle of something here?"
