Brindlekit couldn't tell up from down as the relentless waves drug her deeper and deeper into nothingness. She clung on tightly to something warm and dry, but she didn't dare open her eyes, fearful of what she would see if she did. She was wise enough to recognize this as supernatural, that she was somehow still alive without breathing, somehow not freezing despite being in the icy waters. She wasn't in pain, but her little heart beat twice as fast at the thought of her fate... death... was she going to die...?
As quickly as the thought came to her mind, Brindlekit felt warmth as her body broke free from the river and was exposed to the sun. Her eyes snapped open and she gasped for air, winced as she heard Rosekit do the same, and turned her eyes back toward the one who had pulled them from the river. It was the same tom as before, his golden eyes shining brighter than the sun.
"Where..." She began, falling silent as she lost her voice. Brindlekit had so many questions to ask but all she could do was tremble. Part from fear, but mostly from the frigid cold breeze the whipped against her, as she was no long protected from the cold as she had been in the river.

Pulling the two kits onto his paws, the massive silver and gray tabby laid down curling around them to keep them warm. His tongue rasped at their fur wicking the cold water away from their skin, and fluffing up their undercoats. He didn't say much, simply focused on the task of keeping them alive as the shivered under his touch. Rosekit was breathing but lying limp at her sister's side, tremors traveling down her sides as she tried to warm herself "You are finally home" hefinally replied, his voice deep, dark like the shadows that overtake you when you sleep at night. Shouting could be heard in the distance, as his form began to fade, leaving the two damps kits lying in the snow
Frevidsummer is adopting them correct?? Jadieracer
The orange she-cat was out for a early morning walk with her little brother. Frevidsummer has been promoted a while back to full warrior rank while Frigidpaw still remained a student. Part of had to do with her natural abilities and part because Frigidpaw had a bipolar disorder that lead to him be indisposed for days at a time. Today was one of those days, but she’d drug him out of bed under the pretense taht he needed fresh air after being I despised in his nest for the last few days. “Its a nice morning. Warmth than it was yesterday.” Snow was slowly falling down on them, softly and quiet in the morning air. The tom walked beside her, not answering her but nodding along to her words.
The two walked for a while, and then Frevidsummer spotted a light out of the corner of her eye. Something was down by the river. It glowed, and that was drew her eyes that way. Something was laying there in a pile the light of the morning shining on whatever it was. “Hey! Who’s there?” She called out, drawing Frigidpaw’s attention towards where she was looking. The two cats began heading towards the river, curious and cautious about what was piled up there. She picked up pace when she realize it was kits. “Kits! Frigidpaw, it’s Kits!” Panic filled her voice at the sight of the kits lying near the riverbend.

[Yes I believe so until their parentage is revealed]
Rosekit began to cough, sending sputters of water out onto the ground at her paws as her body shook and tremor. His breathing was wheezing her eyes watering as she tried to get fresh air into her lungs. The last thing she remembered was her sister begging for her to jump into the water, and the blast of cold before everything went dark. She tried to reach out a paw for Brindlekit, the sharp pains of pins and needles making her jerk it backwards on contact,, her blurry vision coming more into focus as the two warriors came into focus hovering over them. She saw their mouths moving, but couldn't make out what they were saying over the ringing in her ears
What do I do? What doI do?! WhatdoIdo?! Frigidpaw panicked standing over the kits. His sister though guy straight to work warming the first kit she spotted. “Frigidpaw! Lick the others fur. Backwards. It’ll help them to warm up.” Soon as the kits were a little but want they race them back to camp where either Earlybloom or Chestnutspeak could look them over. With instructions, the tom was able to break through the panic and began to help the little one. He would always look towards someone else do instructions, it was just who he was and it was part of the reason he was still a student.
Brindlekit leaned into Rosekit's side, growing more and more worried as she saw her sister spit up water, she hadn't taken on any herself but maybe that was because she had buried her face into the gray tom's pelt while Rosekit had been clinging onto her, "Rosekit!" She squeaked, rasping her pink tongue between her sister's eyes, trying to both warm her up and calm her down.
What do I do? What doI do?! WhatdoIdo?!
She looked up as a few cats she didn't recognize approached them. Delirous, she let out a feeble his, but didn't fight back as she felt their tongues brush against her pelt, ".. am I?" She finished her question she had begun to ask the silver tom earlier.

Rosekit squeaked in protest, squirming under the sudden assault as the two cats began to groom their fur backwards. It didn't feel good at first, sending her already tingling limbs hurting under the attention "Brindlekit!" she called trying to move closer to her sister between the furious licks. The tremors and licks making her stumble. Her heart beat rapidly in her chest, not understanding that the two cats were only trying to help them.
Frevidsummer whispered between strokes of her tongue, "you're alright little ones. We've got you. You're okay." They were sweet nothings, anything to comfort the crying, distressed kits. Finally deciding they were as warm as they were going to get out here in the snow, she motioned for her brother to grab kit now known as Brindlekit while she grabbed the other. With a quick flick of her tail, they were off towards camp. None too soon either as Frevidsummer and Frigidpaw had no idea what to dow ith kits having none of their own, especially ones that'd been in water and spitting the liquid back up. Rushing into the Witchs' den, the two siblings called out for the resident caretakers for help.
Brindlekit had intended to struggle but found her attempts surprisingly feeble. She was exhausted. Her eyes hovered toward Rosekit, worry plain on her face, she just wanted to snuggle right up to her sister and drift off to sleep. The fact that they weren't touching was enough to make her breathing speed up, edging toward an anxiety attack, although Frigidpaw's grip on her neck kept her swirling emotions at bay, "Where are you taking us?"
Silverfury watched as Fervidsummer and Frigidpaw stormed into camp on a mission, two small kits in their jaws. He knew right away that they were found somewhere on the territory, and their damp pelts connected the rest of the dots. Inwardly he groaned - more dirty blood to ruin the Clan - but as they got closer he could see that tufted ears and long fur that was almost exclusive to WinterClan blooded cats. Now that was something worth investigating. Quietly he padded after Fervidsummer and Frigidpaw and hovered outside of the Witch's den, his obvious intention being to eavesdrop, although he was being intentionally obvious about it.

Rosekit struggled slightly, but was to weak to put up much of a fight as she was lifted into the air. Her throat felt like it was on fire, her muscles growing tired from the trembling. Her vision went in and out as they were carried, the rocks and snow covered trees passing by them in a blur. When she was finally set down in the Witch's den, she stumbled forward until her pelt brushed against her sisters, head spinning
Pale morning light filtered into the entrance of the witch's den, rousing Brindlekit. She blinked open her celadon eyes and yawned, reflexively flexing her muscle as she did so, and wincing in pain as they screamed in protest. Between the traveling and the icy cold water, the gray-and-cream she-cat was exhausted. Her mind however, was racing, and she wasted no time prodding her sister awake, "Rosekit. Rosekit! Wake up! You won't believe the dream I just had!"

Rosekit blinked open her eyes, groaning slightly as she tried and failed to curl back into a ball and sleep "What dream?" she croaked, her voice crackling from all the water she had inhaled during their dip in the river. Her fever had broken, but the young kit was still weak and needed to rest.
"That cat I told you about... the one that told me to jump in the river," Brindlekit explained, her voice certainly carrying to any listening ears (which is you pao), "He visited me in a dream last night. He told me that this is the place we were destined to be from the very beginning. He said that he is our great-grandfather and that he was once leader of WinterClan, Goldenstar! How cool is that!"
Unlike her sister, Brindlekit was in good health, her thick fur protecting her from being truly chilled by the river, "That means mom must have been a WinterClan Princess or something. I wonder if anyone here knows her?"

"That is cool!" she chirped, before falling into a coughing fit from the effort "We should ask and find out, maybe we are royalty" her tail flickered back and forth, pushing herself to her paws excited about the prospect "Does that mean we are princesses?"
Wintrystar had been called by Frevidsummer to the Witch's den when she'd brought two kits. Since then, the Sovereign had bene hanging out here trying to figure out where the two kits came from. Overhearing the one speak about Goldenstar, she tuned in more to what they were saying. Relation to Goldenstar? How odd. And for it to have come in a dream at that, especially since StarClan hadn't spoken to them in months and they'd switched religions since then. She decide then that she would keep the kits close, and what better way then to give them to her motherly half-sister Frevidsummer. Few would question it considering she was the cat who found the kits. At least they wouldn't so long as the heritage remained secret. There were few in the clan, Emberbrand being one of them, that recently had made claims to being related to Goldenstar. She would believe none of it until the leader himself contacted her.
"I mean, I want to ask around too and stuff, but... Don't you think first we should find out why mom left? Maybe she has a good reason," Brindlekit also had a bit too much sense for her age, it countered her sudden flares of impulsiveness, "We could be secret princesses."
The gray-and-ginger she-cat stretched to her paws and glanced toward the den's exit, "I think we should start by finding something good to eat. I'm starved."
