"Luck, I guess." Was Fortunekit's answer to the outcry. Convincing a few warriors to play games was easy, soothing their tempers when they lost wasn't. Not that the calico was really one for that. A snicker left the side of her mouth as her game participants threw their pieces down. A stack of pebbles and nuts were pulled to her side, a clean sweep as each huffed. They were way too easy, and bitter. When the three decided it was time to go back to their responsibilities, trying to be a spit in the face to the kit, Fortunekit just waved them off. Her indifference was frustrating, but it also took her no time to end up alone. "Booooooooring." She droned briefly, sweeping up the piles and beginning to organize them.

Loyalkit watched the game from a nice patch of shade that lingered by the nursery. Of course her sister was always scamming the older cats and warriors, always getting into trouble. And it was the calico's job to bail her out. Her amber eyes rested on Fortunekit's form and she let out a soft sigh, rolling gracefully to her feet. Loyalkit padded over to the other she-cat and gently nudged her shoulder. "They never seem to stand a chance against you." Her voice was warm and playful as she spoke.

Fortunekit chuckled as Loyalkit nudged her. She set the rocks into piles, eyes checking over to make sure they were in the right places. "Yeah, though I wish they were a little luckier sometimes. I can't remember the last time I had a fair game." Fortunekit nudged her back, focused more on her clean up then her sister. But her voice was warm, just as much as she was bored. "So, what cha' wanna do? Besides scam bored warriors out of their free time?"

Loyalkit hummed in thought, gazing around the quiet camp. There were warriors coming and going as well as elders sitting outside of their den in the sun. "I'm not sure. There does not seem to be happening around camp. So my ideas of things to do are running a little thin right." She replied, taking a seat beside her sister. Her tail curled tightly around her paws and a soft sigh escaped her. "Do you have anything in mind?" She questioned.

"Big surprise there. I'm sick of this place." Fortunekit pouted. Granted, she said this almost every day. Fortunekit got bored so quickly, it was a wonder she hadn't run away yet. So Fortunekit pulled herself onto her paws, satisfied enough with her job of cleaning up the pieces. Though they were still sitting in the middle of the camp. "Let's go explore. Not like anyone will care where a few orphan kits go anyway." She was far too brazen to try and find some secret passage. Nah, she just waltzed right towards the camp entrance to slip out with an absent-minded warrior.

Loyalkit glanced around the camp and rolled her eyes. Of course her sister would figure she could just waltz out of camp. Nevertheless, the calico followed her sister out through the camp entrance. Someone had to keep an eye on her and get her out of trouble. “I guess you’re right. So, Fortune, got somewhere in mind you wanna go?” Loyalkit asked, her voice soft as she trailed behind her sister.

It was mostly impossible for Loyalkit to actually keep Fortunekit out of trouble. It was drawn to her, like a magnet. She heard the warriors talking about it once. Trouble was just something you attracted on accident from the world around you supposedly. Like how your den might end up dustier than others or the happenstance of ants finding where you buried your prey. Fortunekit wasn't sure it was true. If it was, it must have been the universe's way of balancing out her insane luck. She turned to look back at Loyalkit, "You heard of those crystal caves around here? Duckhunt was supposed to get me one of the crystals from there after he lost a game. Course he's coming up with all these flimsy excuses as to why he hasn't. I wanna go pick one out myself, it'll be faster than he will ever be at least."

Loyalkit twitched her whiskers in amusement at Fortunekit’s words as she kept pace with the other kit. “It does sound like it would be faster to fetch the crystals yourself. What kind are you looking for?” She questioned, turned her amber gaze to her sister. Loyalkit had never had any interest in going on an adventure or jumping into trouble. She was far to busy chasing after her siblings and apologizing for them. It was much easier to be brawns of her sibling group.

Fortunekit was fine with their roles. So long as the three stayed that way, they'd be able to get out of any trouble. Loyalkit's apologies were the icing on the cake, not that the calico ever felt particularly sorry. "Right. I swear that tom can't do anything for others. I'm thinking something pretty, deep to compliment my eyes. Like a deep scarlet, or maybe a royal blue." Fortunekit laughed to herself, she'd have a whole trove if she could.

Loyalkit nodding along, pretending she understood what Fortunekit was saying. “Why do you want these so bad?” She asked out of curiosity. She couldn’t imagine having to keep up with them. Knowing Loyalkit’s luck, if she had any they would be lost by the end of the day. The she-cat could never keep up with so many things at once anyways, but she was more than happy to come along. It didn’t hurt that she was also curious as to what the caves looked like. The warriors tell plenty of stories about them.

Fortunekit's tongue clicked at her sister's question. It wasn't a bad question in theory, but she found the answer obvious. "Cause I won." Her voice was proud, boastful in her win but had an underlying ice that made her sound serious. "When you win, you get prizes, no? This is what I want, what I deserve." It was a world of games she lived in, and with her winning streak, she should be sitting on a hoard of these. And Fortunekit wanted to. "Besides, you gotta flaunt what you got." She added with a purr and a wink.

Loyalkit's shoulders shrugged at her sister's words. She could never understand the need and drive to obtain so many prizes as Fortunekit called them. Then again, Loyalkit was not nearly as competitive either, so she was perfectly content to let her sister boast about her winnings and more than happy to help her collect all of the earnings as well. Pale amber eyes gazed at their surroundings with even more curiosity than before. "Makes sense. So, do you know how to find these crystal caves exactly? This is the farthest I've gone and I have no idea where we are." She replied as her eyes wandered back to her sister expectantly.

It was a victory, a way to show them all she wasn't one to be messed with. Those with the most stuff have a higher status, after all. Why do we idolize leaders other than their lives and their clan? Both things that can be counted, seen, the sort of things she was collecting as well. It was everyone's desire, wasn't it? Fortunekit didn't really get Loyalkit either, but whatever. Loyal was her confidante, it was fine she lived things a little differently. At the question, Fortunekit paused and looked around. In their talks, she definitely lost her way. Confusion only took over her expression for a second, composing herself quickly. "Of course, I do. They're right this way." Even though she said that she took a sharp turn like she was doubling back somewhat.

Loyalkit huffed in amusement as she sharply turned to follow Fortunekit’s lead. Loyalkit certainly lived up to her namesake as their was no one she was more loyal to than her siblings. They were all she had and she was determined to stick beside them, no matter what. Even if it meant diving head first into trouble after her siblings. She never questioned the way her sister went through life, but was always there to have her back. “How many do you plan on carrying back?” Loyalkit couldn’t help but ask as they continued on their way.

And Fortunekit lived up to her own name. Just a constant roll of good luck, lucky even without lifting a paw and closing her eyes. Loyalkit would seemingly follow her to the ends of the earth, though some days made Fortunekit wonder just how far that was. The closer they got, the more her heart pounded. "Hmm, some to show off and some to shove down that incompetent buffoon's throat so I don't have to listen to him again." You could laugh at that till you saw how serious her eyes became. "So at least 6."

Loyalkit gave her sister a thoughtful nod. She couldn't help the tiny spark of amusement she and she allowed a smile to tug at the corner of her lips. "I'll help hold him down." She replyed in a playful manner, a slight bounce now in her step as they travelled closer and closer to their destination. The calico kit couldn't help but wonder what exactly the caves will look like or how big the crystals would be. What if they find one as big as a tree? How would they even take it back to camp? Questions continued to swirl in her thoughts as a distant look came across her face.

Fortunekit flashed a smile to her sister. The thought of Royalkit trying to hold down the big warrior was humorous. But she knew Royalkit would give it her all, no matter what. The forest was starting to thin, trees and grass starting to pull away for rocks and gravel. It was a front of a gaping maw of a cave. The entrance was dark, without many jewels in the front. But a few shiny pieces of rock tempted them inside.
