Tenderkit carefully pushed his way out of the nursery. Everyone was asleep as the morning sun danced across the horizon and he was bored. This bright and bubbly kit was restless just sitting in his nest. His bright amber eyes scanned the clearing for something to spike his interest, though nothing looked appealing till he caught sight of a lone moss ball sitting near by. A slight wriggle went through his body as he moved into a crouch and crept forward slowly, stalking his prey. After a moment he leaped, landing on the moss ball with a wide and bright smile. “Gotcha!” he crowed in triumph.

Ravenskit yawned loudly as he finally woke up from his nap. The black tom flexed his claws as he pulled at his soft moss nest as he stretched the best stretch he ever could. Smacking his lips the young kit trotted out of the nursery. He squinted a bit at the sunlight before his eyes could get used to the bright rays. When he finally opened them again he curled his tail mischievously as he watched Tenderkit. Maybe he'd want to play! He was tired of always playing with just his sister. Ravenskit ran over to him, nearly tackling the other tom in all his excitement. "Hiya!" hals

Tenderkit let out a yelp of surprise and quickly shook his grey and black fur to hide his embarrassment as he realized it was another kit from the nursery. He faced the other kit with bright smile and glowing amber eyes. Tenderkit practically bounced on his toes as he responded. "Hi! I'm Tenderkit! What is your name? Do you want to play? I found this really nice moss ball just sitting here by the nursery." The words seemed to rush out of him in his excitement at the possibility of having someone to have fun with.

Ravenskit couldn't help the giggle that came out of his mouth. He liked the energy of this other kit. The little tomcat twitched his whiskers as he smiled brightly, puffing out his chest with pride as he introduced himself. "My name is Ravenskit!" He beamed. "It's nice to meet you! Do you think we can play with that ball? My sister says that the apprentices use moss for the beds for the older cats that can't really do much anymore, but she's always saying that they get too much and that there's always extra, so actually we could play with it!" Ravenskit rambled

Tenderkit beamed and nodded eagerly. "If they don't need it, I don't see why we couldn't play with it! It would be a waste to leave it lying here!" he quickly responded. "Here! I'll pass it to you!" Tenderkit exclaimed as he rolled the moss ball a little ways away from the other kit. When he was far enough, he grinned and drew his paw back, batting towards Ravenskit with all his might. The moss ball sailed across the ground towards the other kit.

Ravenskit let out a loud squeal as he chased after the moss ball. When he caught it, he batted it between his paws for a bit before sitting back on his haunches. He tossed it in the air and batted it towards Tenderkit. "Heads up!"

Tenderkit crouched down as the moss ball flew toward him. When it looked about right, he leapt into the air to catch it but misjudged his timing and missed it entirely. "I got it!" He yelled, dashing after the runaway moss ball. When he collected it, Tenderkt batted it for a moment before sending it flying back towards Ravenskit.

The black tom kit laughed as he tumbled chasing after the moss ball. He managed to grab it between his paws, and rolled it back towards Tenderkit. Ravenskit shook his forepaws, though, after accidentally unsheathing his claws again. Now he struggled as he tried to pick the moss out from his tiny claws. He rolled over, laughing at what he imagined was the sight of him

A peal of laughter escaped the long haired tom as he took in the sight of Ravenskit. He quickly caught the moss ball and could not contain his own laughter. "You look absolutely ridiculous!" Tenderkit teased, rolling back with his giggling.

"Well you look silly too" Ravenskit giggled as he looked at him upside down. He waved his paws in the air as he laid on his back, his little sides rising and falling with his laughter

Tenderkit realized Ravenskit was right and that just made him giggle even more. The grey kit rolled onto his back on the ground, trying to catch his breath as eventually the laughter ad giggles faded away. He was left out of breath and with a bright smile on his face. "You're relly fun!" He stated, craning his neck to look at Ravenskit.

Ravenskit beamed at the other kit happily. "You are too! Lots more fun than my sister." He said scrunching up his face a bit. "Vixenpaw just sits there and lets me climb all over her, which can be fun, but she doesn't do anything"

Tenderkit made a face. That sounded a lot like his siblings. “My siblings are the same way. They never want to have any fun! “ he responded, as he let a groan dramatically. “I’m bored now. We should something else. Hey! I got an idea.” A mischievous gleam appeared in his eyes. “Let’s sneak out of camp!”

Ravenskit quickly jumped up onto his paws, his smile went from bright to mischievous in the blink of an eye. "You're so totally on...!" He whispered excitedly. "I saw a hole behind the apprentice's den...! We can sneak out that way...!"

Bouncing to his feet as well, Tenderkit could barely contain his excitement. Leaving camp! What a fun adventure! His siblings were going to be so jealous. "Lead the way, my friend! Also, I bet I can catch a mouse before you." He teased, already itching to get into the forest and put his hunting crouch he's been practicing to use.

"I bet I'll catch a bird before you catch a mouse!" Ravenskit teased as he ran over to the apprentice den. He took a quick glance inside to make sure that the apprentices were either gone or sleeping, and that his sister was nowhere to be found. The black tom waved his tail excitedly, as he looked back to Tenderkit. "They're all gone...!"

“Ha! In your dreams Ravenskit!” He responded, confident in his near to nothing hunting capabilities. The long haired tom pushed past the other kit and bounded towards the back of the den. “Let’s go! I’m ready to get my first mouse!” He exclaimed as his restless energy was beginning to show. The excitement he felt at finally being able to left the camp was almost overwhelming.

Tenderkit pushed through the opening, appearing beside Ravenskit on the other side of the camp wall. Ahead of the two kits lay what seemed to be an endles forset with trees as tall as mountain. Awestruck, Tenderkit lifted his head and gazed around. “Wow. Which way should we go first?” He asked, taking a few steps away from the camp.
