Vixenpaw didn't want to leave her brother alone in the camp. But Ravenskit had seemed happy playing with the other kits, and she knew she wasn't allowed to take him with her. She flexed her claws as she stood at the entrance of the camp, staring out into territory before she glanced back at her brother. The black tom was still in the midst of a game, and the russet colored she-cat knew that she couldn't stay in the camp all day. All the other apprentices were doing their part in caring for the clan. Vixenpaw should do the same... but what if something happened to her brother while she was out? The apprentice swallowed quickly and started heading out of the camp. She couldn't stand around all day.
It had taken Legendarypaw a while to get away from his mentor so he could go hunting on his own, and his ears twitched in irritation as he made his way out of camp, Jayjack's newest scolding fresh in his mind. Somehow, it almost seemed like nothing he could do was good enough for his mentor, but he wouldn't let that stop him. He almost walked right past Vixenpaw, but pulled himself out of his sulking just in time to notice her. "You don't seem like you want to leave," he commented, his head tilted to the side as he glanced between her and the camp. Normally, it seemed apprentices couldn't leave the camp fast enough, but there were always a few exceptions.

Vixenpaw had quickly scurried back as she nearly collided into Legendarypaw. Her ears flew back against her head as her amber eyes flashed in alarm. The fur on her neck bristled slightly as she stared at him. It took the young apprentice a few moments before she registered that he had spoken to her. Vixenpaw took a deep breath, bringing herself down from her quick reaction. Her little brother would have told her she was being to jumpy.
“I don’t.” She said quickly. “But I didn’t want to get scolded for hanging around the nursery. I’m not really in the mood to deal with any of the warriors.” But then again, Vixenpaw was never in the mood to interact with her clan mates. She still wasn’t sure if she trusted them, unlike her brother.
Yellow eyes carefully watched Vixenpaw as she spoke, trying to get a gauge on the she-cat. She seemed nervous, which wasn't really anything new to Legendarypaw, but perhaps he could somehow soothe her? He wasn't exactly the best at that, however, but he would try his best. "You have a little brother in the nursery, right?" Although this was the first time speaking to the other apprentice, he had seen her around before, and the two were always seemingly joint at the hip. While Legendarypaw's siblings were his own age, so he couldn't really understand the struggle that Vixenpaw was going through, he knew how close he was with them, especially when they were kits or just made apprentices, when his sister was still around.

The russet colored she-cat quickly glanced up at the apprentice, nodding slowly. "I do. Ravenskit." She said slowly. Instinctively, Vixenpaw glanced back at the nursery. "He can be a bit of a pawful at times. But it's fine. I think the queens and nursery maids are getting tired of me always being around." Vixenpaw flexed her claws briefly into the dirt before she gave herself a quick shake. "So, I guess I'm just trying to be useful. I'm just... well I'm used to being around the camp. I haven't explored the territory since I came here with Ravenskit... I'm not comfortable leaving him alone for too long."
As she talked, a grin slowly formed on Legendarypaw's face. "Well, we could always go on a tour of the territory," he said, his words slow as if gathering his thoughts. "Perhaps Ravenskit could come with, too. I'm sure Hystericstar doesn't care if a kit were to go missing for a little while, especially if we happened to find someone else who could come with us." It was Hystericstar, actually, that had given him and his siblings a tour when they first came to the clan as kits, and they had, of course, snuck out multiple times. At this point, it's basically a test of courage for kits.

Vixenpaw pinned her ears to her head briefly. She wasn't sure she wanted to talk Ravenskit outside of the camp and into the territory. But he needed to know his way around as well. Would it really be that bad? The young apprentice glanced over at Legendarypaw, carefully considering his offer. It wouldn't do any harm for her to trust him. They were clanmates after all, and she did have to get used to trusting them. "Well... I guess that's a good idea... Ravenskit would really enjoy it too."
The grin was full on Legendarypaw's face now, and he nodded to himself. She seemed almost like she was a little more relaxed now, though it was actually a surprise to him that she even accepted. He had fully expected her to decline, as it didn't really seem like she was too fond of him. Still, it was a pleasant surprise, and he stepped around Vixenpaw to head back to camp. "I'm sure we'll be able to find another apprentice or a warrior to tag along, as well. Just in case, y'know? Never hurts to be safe," he said, though his voice was definitely lowering as he stepped back into camp. Even if the leader didn't care, certain cats would.

The young apprentice slowly nodded her head. "Right..." She said, briefly swallowing her nerves. Vixenpaw gave herself a quick shake before looking back up at Legendarypaw. "I'll go and get my brother then and meet you back here. I'm sure he'll be more than excited to adventure out of camp." She said softly, glancing back behind her at the nursery.

(I was told to join in, so sorry if this seems strange)
Kitdeath was sprawled outside the nursery with his belly exposed to the sky and his limbs contorted in a way that couldn't look comfortable, but felt like bliss. After showing up in FallClan with no memory of who he was, the tom had spent most of his time like this--doing absolutely nothing under the guise of watching the kits. He had been placed into the position of a nursery aid after all. At the sound of pawsteps approaching, he cracked open an eyelid to see Vixenpaw only a few tail-lengths away. In his short time in the clan, he'd noticed the apprentice liked to hang around the nursery more than most cats her age would. Peculiar really, but he didn't care. Although, he knew some of the nursery aids and queens preferred their privacy around here.
Worried he might get stepped on, Kitdeath rolled onto his stomach and craned his neck to look up at the she-cat. Rare as it may be for him to do something useful, the tom decided he may as well "guard" the nursery like he might have been tasked to do. He hadn't really been listening. "You're a little old to be a kit, aren't you?" he asked in a silky voice. "Too young to be a queen as well, so what is it? Have you brought over some food?"
Legendarypaw blinked for a moment, slightly confused as Vixenpaw walked away from him. He had thought they were going together, but that was fine, too. He could just focus on finding someone to join them, then. By the time that he had returned to his senses, Kitdeath was already confronting Vixenpaw, and although Legendarypaw was too far away to hear the nursery aid's words, the tightening in his gut moved him forward. He didn't know where this cat stood on the whole 'sneaking a cat out of camp with them' thing, so he could at least serve as a distraction if things started to go awry.

Vixenpaw flicked her ears at the tom’s questions. She recognized the tom as one of the nursery aids, but she rarely spoke to him. The russet pelted apprentice glanced back at Legendarypaw made his way forward. The she-cat pinned her ears to her head wondering if she had messed up somehow. Thankfully she was saved by her young brother who attempted to tackle her as he squealed excitedly.
“Vixenpaw! What took you so long!?” Ravenskit squealed as he tried to jump on her. “I was wondering where you were! I woke up and you were gone!”
“I came to get my brother.” Vixenpaw said quickly. “After training I usually take him out of the nursery to show him what I’ve learned.”

There was really no reason for him to doubt her words, especially with Ravenskit acting so eager to see her. Honestly, she could have told him she was there to kidnap every fluff ball in the nursery, and he would have let it happen. None of it mattered to him. Although, he noticed another apprentice nearby and that piqued his interest. Were they all together? Was this "showing what I learned" some kind of a show, where anyone could come and watch? Shifting himself into a sitting position, Kitdeath scratched his neck with a hind paw. "Is this some exclusive event, or can I come watch?"

“Oh...” Vixenpaw glanced back at Legendarypaw before she looked over at Kitdeath. Ravenskit quickly answered the warrior. “Kitdeath, you have to stay at the nursery!” The black kit exclaimed. “Who else is going to help everyone here! Besides it would just disturb your napping! And even when you’re not napping you’re really good at what you do! You don’t really bother anyone either and I think the queens really appreciate that!“
“Ravenskit...!” Vixenpaw hissed softly, worried that her brother may have offended the warrior. “I’m sorry, Kitdeath... but uhm we were going to show him... show him a few fighting moves which is why Legendarypaw is coming along”

The nursery aid's ear flicked at Ravenskit's words and his blank expression gave nothing away. He was unbothered in all actuality because he was very self-aware for someone with no memories prior to last full moon. He knew he didn't do much of anything for the nursery let alone the clan. So, not even the tiniest hint of flattery coming from the kit made him feel anything besides indifferent. Then, as Vixenpaw apologized, he only blinked a few times before pulling a pouting expression.
"Oh, I see. I can take a hint," Kitdeath sighed. "Clearly, my presence is critical here with our army of kits and you apprentices are perfectly capable of handling this one on your own." Tossing his head to the side, the tom continued on dramatically, "Even if you took him outside of camp with you, I'm sure you could handle the possibility of predators, twolegs, and enemy cats because you're apprentices after all. You know what you're doing." Flopping onto his side with his back facing them, he added, "And hey, if you do mess up, no one's gonna miss one little kit. So have fun!"
Ravenskit let out a soft giggle and gently pawed at the tom cat. “You’re so silly, Kitdeath!” He said with a soft little squeal. However, Vixenpaw began flexing her claws into the dirt. She knew that his words were harmless, but something inside of her tensed up at what he said. She was more then capable of taking care of her brother outside of the camp. She had done so long before they had joined m Fallclan, though, she knew he might not know that. Still, the apprentice couldn’t help the way her brow furrowed in annoyance.
“I’m sure we can manage.” She said a bit to curtly. The apprentice gently lifted Ravenskit up by the scruff as the black kit waved at the nursery aid.
“See you later!” Ravenskit giggled as his sister took him out of the nursery.
Legendarypaw had stayed silent throughout the entire exchange, wondering if his presence had actually made matters worse. As Vixenpaw made her way past him, he matched steps with her, Kitdeath's words ringing in his ears. The nursery aid had voiced his own worries aloud, and it made the apprentice rather uncomfortable. He had wanted another cat with them, just in case something like that was going to happen. "Maybe we should ask him to come with," he said under his breath, glancing back at the ominously named cat. Really, those words from a cat with that name almost seemed like a bad omen, and Legendarypaw certainly believed in the unexplained. His own father had been a reaper, after all, and his mother a ghoul. It left a heavy feeling in his gut that he just couldn't shake. "Even if something bad doesn't happen, it's better to be prepared, right?" he added.

Vixenpaw put Ravenskit down and flicked her ears. She wasn't good at this at all. She wasn't sure how to make friends, or act in a clan. She had been a loner by birth. The apprentice cast her amber eyes to the ground as embarrassment crawled through her pelt like an annoying flea. Had she acted rashly at his words. Ravenskit giggled as he trotted between the two apprentices.
"Vixenpaw is being silly." The little kit said brightly. "She's really shy! She probably didn't know how to ask!" Ravenskit looked up at his sister with a purr. The russet she-cat flushed hotly under her pelt. Her brother was beginning to grow much blunter, and she wasn't sure how she liked that. But she knew that his words held some sort of truth. Before she could say anything, Ravenskit had started running back over to Kitdeath

Still laying on his side, facing the nursery with his cheek pressed against the grass, Kitdeath heard tiny pawsteps approaching him fast. There were so many kits in the clan, that it could have been any one of them, but the nursery aid hoped his first guess was right. "Well that was quick! Your sister must not know a lot of fighting techniques after all? Surprising for such a proud apprentice," he said without looking to see if it was Ravenskit he was talking to or not. A lot of his clanmates already thought he was crazy and he didn't mind encouraging that idea. Maybe the reason he'd been so rudely shot down by Vixenpaw, was because she was embarrassed by her own skills.

Ravenskit giggled as he crouched down next to the tom. He crawled around him until he was face to face with Kitdeath. "Vixenpaw knows a lot!" The black tom said excitedly. "She took care of the two of us before she brought us here! She's just not used to being around so many cats yet!" Ravenskit flopped onto his stomach as he looked up at the nursery aid with wide eyes. "She's having trouble understanding how things work! Don't worry though, she'll get used to it soon! You should come with us! It would be good! Please? Pretty, pretty please?"
