Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
For a week now bengal cats were being reported as being spotted at the border, but never entering. Younger members of DayClan guessed they must have been kittypets by how well groomed they were and on account of their perfect patterns never showing any hint of breeding with a clan cat. But older members of DayClan saw it as the familiar group of Pravus Nocte. Primal Instinct had been led by a member of Pravus Nocte who attacked DayClan, that had been DayClan's first loss in years at the time.
Fuzzyheart relaxed in camp, the three thin waterfalls sent cool mist into the summer air. The camp was a small closed in valley, it felt safe with plenty of rune stones for cats to climb on and soak in the sunlight. Today though his head raised as eight bengals came in, half standing on the left, half standing on the right as a single white bengal strode forward through the small crowd of bengals into DayClan camp.
Fuzzyheart glanced back at his clan mates with a look that said, this will be good.
The white bengal cleared his throat, "Cats of Day, I would like to introduce ourselves as the new reformed Pravus Nocte. We have separated from the original group and are forming our own new institution. This new Pravus Nocte will not fall be more lenient allowing for outsiders to join. We are also open to change and demand that our members be open minded to change. Our sources have sent us here that Vera E'tani's first born son Thane is still alive. We would like him to be our new leader."
"Who the heck is Thane?" Wishpaw asked looking at his siblings. His dad had always been Fuzzyheart, never anything else. Sure somewhere in his head he knew his dad must have had a league name at some point, but he wasn't connecting the dots now.
Strawberrypaw had been curled up, sleeping with one of her siblings when all the commotion began. Whoever they were, they were interrupting her beauty sleep and she wasn't pleased about that in the least bit. Lifting her head, she let out a growl and a glare towards the newcomers. "Do you mind?"

Smolderingpaw had been sent out to collect something for Brakewings, a job he didn't particularly enjoy. But when he couldn't give it to Fairytalepaw, he simply went and did it. Compared to others, he wasn't that rebellious. As long as his emotions weren't in play, he could at least pretend to become an eventual peacekeeper. Though when he arrived back at camp, with a bunch of bengals in front of it now giving some speech, he waited till they were done before squeezing through them. "Ah, 'scuse me random bengal guys." He said, definitely stepping on a paw or two in the cramped entranceway before popping out in time to hear his siblings questions. "You sure it's not like Than? As in like Jonothan, but without the John part. Cause Thane sounds pretty lame." Smolderingpaw asked, scratching behind his ear briefly before walking off to go to the medicine cat den.
Moltenpaw groaned from Strawberrypaw's side and put his paw on top of his sister's head, a gentle bonk, "It's not their fault you decided to sleep in the middle of camp, bee-brain. If you didn't want to be disturbed, then we should have picked somewhere else."
When he was younger, he'd be a lot more fired up when a group of random cats stormed into DayClan's camp, but after history lessons from his dad and living through some himself, it didn't get quite the same rise out of him anymore. He leisurely stretched to his full height - already tall enough to brush shoulders with his father - and approached the white bengal tom, cautious but curious, "Thane is Fuzzyheart now, and, if I know my father, he's not going anywhere. Isn't there a cat among you fit to be leader?"
The fire bengal tabby mix had smelled the outsiders as he was doing one of morning walks. That itself wasn't unusual in DayClan. Wildpaw grew up in the Clan, and he fostered the same welcoming heart that the Clan possessed to outsiders. He had plenty of conversations as they went through the outskirts of the territory, but these cats didn't do that. They turned straight towards DayClan's camp. This made all of the alarm bells in the young tom's head ring. No one would ambush his clan. No one. The tom charged through the territory as fast as a could, practically knocking a few cats over as he went.
As the tom broke through the barrier, he didn't realize that they were there in peace. All he saw was a formation around one cat in the center of it all. He roared and pounced on the white bengal as soon as he was within striking distance. "Get out of here!!!"
"Wildpaw!" Moltenpaw gasped and jumped into the fray putting himself between the bengal newcomer and his brother. Outside of a skirmish with crows from when he was a kit, this was his first real battle experience, and he the rush of adrenaline that came with it was almost intoxicating. Claws still sheathed, but only just, he struck Wildpaw's flank and tried to music the other tom away, "They haven't done anything, calm down!"
(Sorry that finals hit me at a bad time, but I'm back now and I'm totally ready to continue this plot that takes place in the past when they were all apprentices. Since it's been so long I'll ping everyone who was involved ^-^) @samiam stardancebiyuu ☆彡Jadie @turtlenoir paosimplylightPhantomstrawberrycupid
"Wildpaw's doing what we're all thinking, which is take a hike buddy. I'm Thane and that's super great that you've changed and all that, but I'm pretty content here. Kind of have a whole family thing going on," Fuzzyheart explained.
"I... See," The white bengal said, clearly disappointed. After all, who knew how far they traveled only to be let down.
"Yeah, anyways um... Bye?" Fuzzyheart said awkwardly, looking for the group to leave.
The white bengal turned to leave, but one of the members nudged him and motioned to Smolderingpaw, the apprentice that had passed them by. He did look like a bengal and so did a lot of the apprentices...
"Of course, I'm sure your mate must be worried having strangers in the camp," The white bengal said as he turned tail and left with the others.
Wishpaw watched the bengals leave and scoffed, "What a real weirdo."
"Never a shortage of weirdos in DayClan, but you kids should get ready for bed, it's a training night, you'll have battalions in the morning," Fuzzyheart reminded them. Of course, he would never mentioned the stories of how he ditched his training a lot. He was lucky he was moms favorite, his youngest sister got beat for being late to training one time in her whole life.

Darkpaw emerged from the medicine cat's den with a smirk on her muzzle. "Aw, but it's just starting to liven up around here." She purred, casting a curious, almost excited glance in the Pravus Nocte. Her sharp honey gaze turned to her father for a brief moment, disappointment in their depths. "I think we can make our own decisions, Fuzzyheart."

Smolderingpaw's eyes narrowed as one of the Pravus Nocte members motioned to him. Compared to some of his siblings, he didn't look as much of a bengal as them, taking on more of his mother's appearance. But as they turned to leave, he relaxed again. "Well, I'm going to bed regardless. It seems Brakewings is working me harder than he is you. Maybe I should have become his apprentice." Smolderingpaw teased Darkpaw, bumping into her lightly as he walked past her to drop off his parcel.
Volcanicpaw hat dat silently as the stranger walked in, her eyes never leaving them. Unlike some of her siblings she had not been blessed with a georgus Bengal pelt, she instead had a dark flecked tortoiseshell one, something she struggled with often. Her body was relaxed as she listened to the exchange between the odd felines and her family, obviously none of this had anything to do with her and her stupid pelt, as soon as they left though she turned to her father and tilted her head. "What was that all about?" Faith
Bubblepaw watched the group of bengals leave, one eyebrow quirked. She knew it was bad to eavesdrop, but surely it could hardly be called eavesdropping when the parties in question waltzed right into DayClan territory and started having their conversation in the middle of camp? Their proposal had been confusing at first, but she'd been able to piece it together once the rest of her family had gotten to talking--Fuzzyheart was Thane, and the bengals wanted him to lead their own group. What that group was, she couldn't say.
"Yeah, what gives?" she asked, joining Volcanicpaw at her father's side. "Kind of forward of them to just come in here and ask like that. Still, they looked kinda cool. Well-organised."
"I would also like to know," came another voice from a little further away. Peachblush stood at the camp entrance, presumably having just returned from outside. Had he brushed shoulders with the outsiders as they'd left, heard something else? Or had he just caught the tail-end of them and his mate's conversation? His eyes were hard, but not with anger--it was more of a grim determination, and an emotion Bubblepaw couldn't discern.
She didn't like that expression on him one bit.
"But I think we should speak about it at a different time," he continued, bringing Bubblepaw back into the present, "without the kids present. And with Glowstar."

She gave Smolderingpaw a snort, flicking him on the back with her tail as he walked away. "I think our den might be crowded enough without your big mug there."
"When will you stop sneaking around behind our backs and treating us like we are still in the Nursery." Darkpaw flashed back at Peachblush, eyes snapping to her other parent as he entered the scene. "I think it's about time we get to make our own choice about Pravus Nocte. I, for one, am not going to sit around why you two continue to hurt our lineage." She lifted her chin up in defiance towards them. Darkpaw had not really because i bluffed done her research and it was clear by the disappointment in the twitch of her whiskers that she did not agree with her fathers' stance towards the bengal group.

Moltenpaw took a step out as the bengal and his cats filtered out of DayClan camp. He had opened his mouth to ask Fuzzyheart a question, but Peachblush beat him to it, making it pretty clear the apprentices were not going to get any answers tonight. He'd never seen the ginger tom give Fuzzyheart such a serious look, it didn't seem in character for him, and it send the ghost of a chill down his spine.
"I think we are old enough to be a part of that conversation," Moltenpaw said, padding up to Peachblush and looking down on him. The bengal tom had inherited Fuzzyheart's size and, while he still had growing to do, already was quite a bit taller than his ginger-furred father. His intention wasn't to be intimidating but to the outsider looking in it sure seemed that way. He turned his head to cast a glance back to Fuzzyheart now, but he didn't say anything else.
"And what if I told you it had nothing to do with your ages?" Peachblush retorted--which wasn't technically a lie, but not the entire truth either. There was no doubt that he would consider this something that apprentices shouldn't get mixed up in until he had more information, but his kits could grow to be a hundred moons old and he would still try and shield them from potential trouble.
Bubblepaw remained unconvinced, cocking an eyebrow in response. Then I wouldn't believe you, she thought, but she decided to leave it up to her siblings to respond, if they wanted to. There was no point in making herself the center of a rift in the family when she could just let someone else cause it.

"Good. Last thing I wanna get in the way of is Fairytalepaw and you cuddling." Smolderingpaw laughed, slipping past in time to miss Peachblush come in. For as much supposed time he spent here, he had no idea where everything went. So he just placed it in the middle of the floor for someone else to get before he left again to join his family and catch the tail end of their conversation.
"I don't think those guys are very convinced. Would they have walked the way over here and give up when their first shot was shot down. I'd rather know just what's going on then go in blind." Smolderingpaw picked up that slack at least, tilting his head to the side.
"We can talk about it tomorrow, head to bed," Fuzzyheart said softly to Volcanicpaw, but when Darkpaw spoke soon enough it was like initiating howl. Everyone was chattering. Peachblush's reassurance had done nothing to soothe their kits pessimistic minds. "Silence," Fuzzyheart said in a voice that bordered on a hiss. In one fast motion like a wave his gaze stared over each of his kits with a look that would silence anyone who wanted to protest. A move he had learned from his own mother.
"This is what I can remember. Long ago my mother and her sisters ran away from Pravus Nocte. If my memory serves me right her sisters were going to be killed because she was going to be the new ruler and anyone who wasn't going to be ruler was going to be killed. I don't know, point is, they ran off. But soon enough in the league her sisters were dying one way or another and Pravus Nocte caught up with her. She left the league to go back to Pravus Nocte willingly so not me or anyone else would be forced out of their homes to live there. This sounds like a group of rebel Pravus Nocte cats who want another royal blood and have different opinions on how their new group should be run. That's it, that's all I can gather. It's going to be late soon so don't stay up too late chatting about this, you have plenty of time to tomorrow. But if I find out you're falling asleep at practice tomorrow you're all taking chamomile before bed time from now on," He warned.
Strawberrypaw glanced from here place curled up against Moltenpaw, who'd long since abandoned her for the interesting affairs of the strangers and their parents. She personally didn't understand the fuss, that is until she heard the words royal. "Wait a moment!" She leapt to her paws, a shimmer in her eyes as she approached her parents. . "You mean to tell me we come from royal blood? And you've never bothered to say anything before?!?" She darted a fleeting glance towards eth entrance to camp, where the strangers had left from and wondered if they'd take her as their queen. She'd be a lovely queen, or at least she thinks so.

Smolderingpaw just blinked. The sound of royal blood was nothing but noise to him. He didn't need some kingdom to lord over. "Why would they, Strawberrypaw? It's not like it's mattered till just now." The orange tom brushed another out of place patch of fur down on Strawberrypaw's flank.
"When I left Primal Instinct I turned my back on all of that. My mom would disown any of her kits that left the league. She loved all of us, but she had an evil empire to rule, she couldn't stop dominating clans just because one of her disloyal children decided to leave her safety and live there. But I loved your father more than anything glory and power could give my in the league. Besides, our bloodline is no longer the strongest in the league because most of us ended up moving out," Fuzzyheart said giving his daughter a few licks across the cheek, "You have a better life than I did, that's all I ever wanted for you." He smiled at her, his one eye gaze held more love than he ever held for anyone else outside of his kits. He turned to Smolderingpaw and licked the top of his sons head, "Have a goodnight you two."

Smolderingpaw was still curious. Most of his siblings were, for sure. But in seeing that loving gaze from his father, he held his tongue. A rarity. Like catching a fish on your first try without falling into the river. Maybe he should have questioned more, but a part of him couldn't go against that look. "Alright. Night dads." He had all the time to ask again tomorrow, right? Plus he was tired. Smolderingpaw licked Fuzzyheart and Peachblush on the cheeks before returning to the apprentice den.
