Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Alvah Faris had by far been the worst prisoner. He was a mountainous large tom, a Bright Brigade member of DayClan, he was among their strongest. However he carried none of DayClan's signature kindness, he tossed his strength around with ease. Most of WinterClan's prisoners were underweight, rogues, cats who held little threat unlike himself. He took other prisoners prey to keep his strength up and everyday would attempt to scale the prison walls. At first it was a feeble attempt, but everyday the indentions his claws made i the stone wall became more pronounced, easier to grip into. He was becoming more and more of a threat by the day. Wintrystar had already spoke to him about his behavior, for whatever reason it would seem he cared about her opinion.
Since then he didn't make too many escape efforts, but kept up the rest of his bad behavior. Lately he had been striking other prisoners, which may not be a problem if they weren't used for labor, which he was useless at given everyone's inability to control him. He needed discipline, but so far had none, he considered himself king of the prison.
Today his icy eyes watched Frostcloud with a bored expression. He had gotten away with everything from everyone that he couldn't imagine Frostcloud being anything of at threat even if she was the knight of this jail.
Although Frostcloud was a knight and in charge of the other guards, she still occasionally stood guard herself, giving the other guards a break. Today was one of those days. She sat at the entrance to the prison, observing each and every move. Her back was turned to the prisoners, looking out toward the lively world. Though her back was turned, she could feel Alvah's eyes boring into her fur. "Do you have a staring problem?" She snapped, whipping her head around to shoot a glare at him with her own icy blue eyes.
"I can't look away from a creature as ugly as thy self," He said with mock romantics. His sister Fia and him used to practice backwards pickup lines on passer by's, really they were just insults designed in a way to initially make someone think they would be a compliment.
"I think you're pretty Frostcloud," Snowbunny said as he padded up to her. He hadn't been invited by Frostcloud, but he was told to help her out given his knowledge with large animals. A large cat wasn't that much different than a fearsome fox.
Alvah Faris lost interest when Snowbunny came in and began to clean himself. By far he had the best groomed fur than any other prisoner, it helped when he had an actual good diet from other prisoners prey and slept without fearing for his life.
Frostcloud snapped her attention toward Snowbunny who had arrived to help her. She was taken by surprise by the compliment but she still didn't like him. "It took you long enough, didn't it?" She grumbled, rising to her paws to greet the other knight. "I hope your as good as you say you are. This prisoner is getting on my last nerves. He might even be more annoying than you, Snowbunny."
"I promise I'm really good with traps," Snowbunny said honestly.
After all when they first met he managed to get Lionwhisper stuck in his snowy trap. If he wanted to he could have let his snow fort to cave in on the knight so he could run off, but instead he remained loyal with his other cadets.
Peering over at Alvah Faris he could tell that this tom towered over him easily, but so did a lot of other cats he had faced. Despite his peaceful attitude he had grown up in an environment that revolved around punishment and praise so restraining the tom didn't ache at this heart. Even if it wasn't exactly his inner philosophy.
Snowbunny pulled some vines over, each varying in size, length, and type, "I could muzzle him, one type he could talk a bit muffled and still eat, but slowly and not easily. However it would be impossible for him to bite so it would solve that issue. If we did that I would probably just leash him to the corner of the prison. The other kind he wouldn't be able to bite, talk, or eat, but we would probably have to tie his paws so when he needs to eat he can't lash out again. Considering his dominant nature I would go for the ladder. That way he learns who's boss and when you do release him he'll be unlikely to want to mess with you again... At least that's how it works with animals, I'm not really sure about cats."
Frostcloud examined the ties, listening to all the different restraints Snowbunny could put on Alvah. She rubbed her chin in thought. "Hmmm...he does need something that is going to really correct his behavior. I say we go for something harsh. Something that will keep him from eating, especially the other prisoners." Frostcloud cast an annoyed glance at Alvah before turning back to Snowbunny. "Something that will probably restrain him from really doing anything. We have to make sure that he is limited to movement as much as we can so that he doesn't get any of the restraints off. Besides, his lack of movement will give him more time to think about changing his behavior."
Snowbunny gave Alvah Faris a second look at the mention of eating other prisoners and laughed. But looking back at Frostcloud's thoughtful serious expression made him look back at Alvah Faris a bit more questionably. He... Wouldn't eat other prisoners. Would he?
"Alright, let's do this the easy way then, we'll plant some poppyseeds in the prey and since we know he eats other prisoners prey he'll be overdosed on it. Then it'll be easy to restrain him," Snowbunny explained as he fished out some of the poppy seeds he had brought. Carefully he placed them inside of a squirrel, but packed many of them in. After all Alvah Faris was a large tom, a normal dosage wouldn't work.
With a careless swung he threw the squirrel down to the prisoners. He didn't want to aim it at Alvah Faris to avoid any suspicion. He could already tell he was watching him, he wasn't a normal presence in the prison. Turning back to Frostcloud he gave her a confident smile, "Don't worry he'll be respectful to you in no time. I mean look at me, I definitely don't throw snowballs at you anymore," He smirked.
She rolled her eyes at Snowbunny's joke about the way they met, inwardly smiling. "You sure he won't find those poppy seeds?" She asked, concerned that their plan could fail.
"Don't worry, I knocked out a wolverine with this method before," Snowbunny reassured.
After sometime it was clear Alvah Faris was out cold as Snowbunny approached him. He took the thickest vine and opened Alvah Faris's mouth, it was almost like opening the mouth of a snake, it didn't seem safe. He wrung the vine as deep against the sides of his muzzle as he could before fastening it behind him so there was a wedge in his mouth preventing him from snapping or even talking. It must have been uncomfortable to breathe through his nose as the large black tom started to wake up. Snowbunny nudged the smaller vines towards Frostcloud, "get his back legs and just do what I do." He instructed.
Snowbunny carefully looped the vines around Alvah Faris in an infinity symbol pattern. He let the vine climb up his leg until it would take too much effort to tug his legs together any further before knotting it and pushing the knot deep into the vines. Normally he did this to predators, relocating them away from the Regime, he had never done this to a cat before. He thought he would feel bad, but Alvah Faris wasn't a prisoner like he and Cadet Louella were. Alvah Faris was rude to Frostcloud, cruel to the other prisoners, and genuinely didn't seem to care about anyone, but himself. He hoped this would teach the tom some manners.
Frostcloud bristled at Snowbunny's order, not liking the fact that he was telling her what to do but she forced her fur flat and grabbed the vine. She had asked him to help her, she should at least help pull some of the weight so he wasn't doing it all himself. She rushed over to his back legs and began tying them the way Snowbunny was trying the front legs. She tried to hurry, knowing he would wake at any time. "how long have you been doing this?" She asked, seeing how quick and flawlessly he was tying the knots.
"Uhhh haha... A while," He admitted shamefully, his head looking the other way, "I use this to restrain animals like foxes and transport them somewhere further out instead of having the mercenaries hurt them. This is meant to be a more humane approach, which is why I don't want you to ever do this unless it's someone who's clearly violent like him," Snowbunny pointed out before stepping just a few paw steps away so he wasn't right on top of Alvah Faris.
The tom was waking up, at first there was a moment of confusion before realizing he was restrained. He tried to move, thrashing his body three times before immediately giving up and lying down nicely.
"It's a really dreadful feeling for any animal when they can't move, it produces a natural fear, especially when they can't use their bite. That's why he'll be submissive to you in no time so please Frostcloud, don't abuse this. I care about your safety, so I wanted you to know how to handle someone who clearly has it coming. But it's not right to do this to just anybody," Snowbunny said, hoping that Frostcloud would understand. After all, he might not be a prisoner anymore, but he felt he was always close to breaking the code and might wind up as Frostcloud's prisoner for a few days.
Frostcloud finished the tying just before Alvah began thrashing. She took a step back and watched the restraints work on her prisoner while also listening to Snowbunny's warning. These restraints really worked and the power was tempting but Snowbunny was right. She must'nt abuse this. She turned to him, her icy gaze boring into his. "Thank you, Snowbunny." The words felt sour on her tongue but she knew she needed to at least thank him for helping her or she might have been Alvah's next meal. "I'll use the knowledge you taught me wisely."
