Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
"Senpai!" Innocentia called out, her tiny voice squeaked.
Her velvet white fur was shorter than usual, more prim, it extenuated her tiny kitten figure. Fastened around the back her neck was a massive pink bow, larger than her own head. Strung across the center of the pink was around her chest was a golden bell, but her movements were precise enough that not even once had it rung. "Senpai!!!" She called again, this time louder. Her voice was high and child like with a British accent.
Her Senpai was in SunClan, she thought she would have seen her back at home, but she hadn't. Now she had ventured all the way into SunClan territory looking for the initiate. She had heard a nightmare of a story of a league initiate who came to SunClan only to be brutalized and... So much more. He was strong, someone she looked up to, but if it could happen to him, it could happen to her Senpai. Senpai wasn't allowed to lose, especially not to lousy ol' SunClan!
Although she was in dangerous territory now and she knew it, but finding her Senpai was more important than her own well being. Still, being as tiny and kit sized as she was she was much more alert than the average cat. She had the skittish prey nature as a rabbit, knowing when to run before trouble presented itself.
She swept up from behind, utterly silent until Innocentia was suddenly up in the air, able to peer out at the territory with a much higher view than before. Senescence knew Innocentia well, far too well, which was perhaps one of the only reason she was so easily able to sneak up on the other. Or maybe Inno had just allowed her to do so. Either way, the white feline was left to balance on the Proxy's neck and head, or tumble off in spectacular fashion. "You called?" If one didn't know better, they might have caught a hint of amusement in Sen's tone, unbothered by the presence of the cute little cannibal, despite how opposite they appeared in every which way.
"Senescence!" Innocentia cried out like she hadn't seen her in years. She nuzzled in close, pressing her face into her fur in a tight snuggle before craning her head to look at her with a teary eyed expression, "I was so worried that I was too late. I didn't see you back in the league, I thought I had failed you. But we have to get out of here. I-" She paused. She promised she wouldn't tell anyone what he had told her so she couldn't bring up what she knew. Otherwise what was the point in a promise? "I know that something bad happens at initiation, which like. I know that you know, but it's worse than what you know! You know that I know how capable you are, but I'm telling you this is bigger, it doesn't kill you, but it'll ruin your life, take you from me. You'll be there, but not the same so we have to get you out," She was begging at this point, but also realized that she said the word know far too much for just a few sentences.
"Woah, how about you slow down and we find somewhere to chat?" Sen searched Innocentia's eyes, and in a rare instance, she felt a pang of guilt for not being there. "I'm fine, I promise." She began walking, heading for the edge of the territory. Less because she felt that anyone in SunClan could hurt Inno, and more because she knew there was more likely to be some privacy at the edge of everything. Her tail arched over her back, gently brushing along Innocentia's spine in a way that could only be described as comforting.
Innocentia for a moment forgot how to breathe, hiccuping slightly, "I was having dinner with my friend, but then he told me all about SunClan initiation, but he's super strong like you are, he didn't play by the rules like you. But he still paid for it, just not in the same way. If he went back in time and told himself he couldn't handle it, I bet his past self wouldn't have believed in him. So I'm telling you now that even though you think you can handle initiation and maybe you will it will bite back. But I can't tell you about it because I promised him I wouldn't talk about it and I'm already kind of talking about it, but as vaguely as possible. So please don't do this because I don't want you to lose like he lost."
She sniffled, slowly getting into control of her emotions again now that the dread of not finding her had died down. "Also I made a deal with him and I really can't safely do it knowing you're here," She added a bit shyly, because of course while having dinner and dreading about Senescence she also managed to make some sort of sinister deal. She never lost a beat.
"Are you sure you can't tell me, even if I promise not to tell anyone else, or let this tom know that you told me?" Senescence asked. If it came to it, she would accept being a target by SunClan if it would make Innocentia feel better, though the very idea of giving up on something like this wasn't her style. Especially with things that could get her killed, or worse, she always jumped in headfirst, much like she was trying to get herself killed. Her voice quieted until only the other Proxy could hear it. "Being in SunClan is a serious opportunity for the League. There's few former or current SunClan cats willing to divulge all it's secrets, and even fewer spies within SunClan itself." It was dangerous to think of that, and even more so to suggest it aloud, even when no one else would be able to hear it.
"Senescence that's not how secrets work! If you tell one person that's it. If the rule was you could tell one other person and then no one else it would still spread!" Innocentia criticized which really just sounded like a kit going over the strict rules of how to play mossball by her tone. Hearing Senescence speak made her hiccup again, her head spinning. When did they start caring about SunClan information? And Senescence wasn't disposable, assassins were! How was she going to do this attack if Senescence was in SunClan. Maybe she was needy, but when she accepted she imagined staying up late cuddled up against Senescence going back and forth on battle strategies. Poking fun at the soldiers they acquired and scaring them together in training. If Senescence wasn't going to be around it wasn't going to be the same. At the same time if Senescence was with the enemy then she wouldn't risk having Senescence be with her because then both their covers would be in danger of being blown. But she also couldn't talk to her about this here.
"If you do this you can't come back to the league," She whispered quietly, her muzzle up against Senescence's ear, "Plans have changed, that's all I can say while we're in SunClan." She wanted to say Senescence couldn't come back to the league for moons, not forever, but if anyone was listening in she didn't want to give them an estimate on when things were happening. She hated being vague to Senescence, but they were both trained in the league, being shrewd wasn't impolite so much as a way of survival. At least while they were still standing close to the ForestClan's.
She leaped off of Senescence so she could look in her eyes to see that she wanted to talk elsewhere. The less they said out loud the better, SunClan cats pried more than a kits mother.
Her tail flicked Innocentia's ear. "Let's go walk then." Sen knew her reasoning for staying in SunClan was flimsy. Really, the small she-cat's warning just made her want to dig her paws into the dirt and stay, because the idea of some horrible thing was intriguing. There was no reason for her to be here than her own selfish desires. And she knew she was grasping at ideas. The scarred feline tilted her head towards the nearby border and began walking before pausing, offering Innocentia the chance to climb back up and be given a ride to somewhere out of the League's reach.
It was only fitting that the last cat either of them wanted to see was the one who found them. At least he was alone, which would make him easy to dispatch, should either see the need to do so. Yet, there really was little at risk here - Bloodyrondo had never met Innocentia. Even at gatherings, she had alluded him, for he was always looking up, not down.
"Don't tell me... you brought SunClan a kit?" His celadon eyes widened in surprise. While it had always been part of the code to bring any SunClan-blooded kits to their rightful Clan, it was only recently that it had been heavily enforced. He would have never expected Sen to partake in the recent kit thefts but here she was bringing SunClan an adorable little fluff ball. His heart melted just looking at her, "Perhaps you are taking Initiation more seriously than I thought. Let's get this little one back to camp. Have you named her yet? And more importantly, has she shown any signs of power?"
"I'm going to be dah beshtest SunCwan wawwiuh evah!" Innocentia exclaimed fighting to contain herself. There was a reason that although she had the voice of tiny kitten that she still spoke properly. Just pretending to have a young lisp could throw herself off on her own laughter. This time she managed to force back the laughter and only holding a confident happy smile.
She let out a sudden gasp, "Wowie, you're sooooo strong!" She said, taking a few dramatic steps back as though he were a painting she needed to explore at all angles. Compliments and politeness were an unexpected skill the league proxy had. Her voice was disarming, her curious nature was endearing, and her weak tiny figure was harmless. If she lacked any of those qualities the con would never work. Although just looking at Bloodyrondo's silky flaming long fur, the tender butter smooth skin probably plump across those steady bones of his...
GRRRRRRRRRR
Innocentia's stomach growled loud enough for anyone to hear as she let out a small giggle, "It's been so long since I've had food from my housefolk."
So she was a kittypet. That explained the bow as well as that fluffy white fur. Bloodyrondo seriously doubted any kittypet kit would have SunClan blood, although crazier things had happened. He himself was a kittypet pureblood technically yet was one of the Sun God's most favored followers. Besides, he sensed something special about this kit, she recognized right away how strong he was and actually seemed committed to joining SunClan. That was pretty mature for one her age.
Upon hearing her stomach growl, Bloodyrondo frowned and gave Sen a hard look, "You haven't fed her? How long has it been since she last ate? It's very important or these little ones to have full stomachs," He turned his celadon eyes back to Inno and cocked his head, giving her a very genuine smile, then proceed to baby talk her, "Cuz you want to grow big and strong, like me and Senescence!"
