Oakpaw, a MoonClan apprentice and brother to the then leader Maplestar, met Tinypaw, a SunClan apprentice and daughter of the former High Priestess Foxbane, at the border of their Clan’s territory. Tinypaw had been hunting a snake and failed; the serpent had coiled around one of her paws. Oakpaw freed her and over the next few moons their paws continually crossed paths. Tinypaw kept trying to push Oakpaw away but the MoonClan tom was persistent. After receiving his Warrior name, he crossed the border in search of her… only to be dragged by Foxbane all the way to SunClan camp and forced to initiate. He very nearly failed initiation but but, after many moons of chasing, Oakshade finally won Tinymutiny’s heart.

Oakshade is a large, goofy tom who is very friendly and gets along with almost anyone. Very little makes him upset although it’s partially because he’s not that great at reading the room. Tinymutiny, on the other hand, is a small she-cat who has suffered a lot of trauma due her mother’s cruelty. She’s a true spitfire and doesn’t accept help from anyone. The two of them couldn’t be bigger opposites but neither could live without the other at this point. Only one of them will admit that, though, can you guess who?

These kits will be the Heart Zodiac and their official birthday is August 1, 2020... but you can go ahead and roleplay them now!

Ability: 100% Muscle Usage 
This ability is passed on to nearly every tom in this family. It is triggered by adrenaline and some toms are much more sensitive to it than others. For example, one cat may not experience this unless under extreme duress, while another may “hulk” out by just being surprised. It’s not easily controlled by the user’s choice but is possible with a lot of practice. This ability does not take effect until puberty.
Increased strength & speed
Note: This ability is NOT super strength. It simply maximizes what the body is capable of doing; if the average cat only uses 20-30% of their muscles, this ability makes it possible to use 100%.
Increased aggression
Pain delay: Wounds incurred when frenzied are numb until out of this state. These cats are far more likely to sustain major injuries when in this state due to the inability to feel their bodies natural signals to stop.
With extended use, maximally exerting one's muscles may eventually damage and deteriorate their musculoskeletal system.
It accelerates lactic acid build-up, tiring the user faster.

Ability: 100% Mind Usage AKA Intuitive Aptitude
This ability is passed on to nearly every she-cat in this family. It has no trigger and is always working passively. This ability has several variations from she-cat to she-cat. Most have the capability to master the same skills but typically the user specializes in one branch while only dabbling in the others (if you would like to master more than one branch you will need approval from the Clan’s leader). This ability does not take effect until puberty
Scary Calm: All she-cats have access to this ability regardless of their branch, although not all master it. It is triggered by adrenaline and some are more sensitive to it than others. For example, one cat may not experience scary calm unless under extreme duress, while another may reach it by simply being surprised. When 100% is reached, the user becomes able to make analytical decisions in seconds that would take a normal cat many hours of deep thought.
Branches:
1) Perfect Recall: The ability to remember every detail after seeing something only once. No she-cat in this family ever forgets a name or a face, but the one who specializes in this branch will remember each individual drop of rain that falls from the sky for her entire life. Amazing scouts and even better hunters, nothing escapes this she-cat’s watchful eyes or memory. This is the most flexible branch as it is particularly useful in both physical and mental situations. It is primarily focused on the environment.
2) Movement Intuition: Knowledge of how to use or make the best of one's or others' movements. This she-cat is a master of body language and can duplicate any move after only seeing it once. One with this ability can also discern numerous factors of a situation such as how much of a threat a foe poses (what move he will make, where he is going, etc), how to best control her own breathing and how to hide without giving away one’s presence. This is primarily a physical branch and focuses on opponents and prey.
3) Emotional Intuition: Ability to read the body-language of another cat as easily as reading a book specifically on an emotional level. This is not mind reading but often these she-cat’s can finish your sentence before you even open your mouth. They are masters of all gossip, have dirt on every cat in the Clan and aren’t quick to forget a single detail. This is primarily a mental branch and these she-cats have a knack for convincing others to follow them either out of fear or adoration.
Because her mind is always racing, this she-cat endlessly suffers from nightmares, migraines and/or insomnia. They also tend to be easily overstimulated and are prone to sensory processing disorders especially if they struggle to reach the state of scary calm.

Cloudkit(lagoon) - tom - strawberrycupid

A large curly-furred taupe tom with white under-belly, chest, and paws and jade green eyes. He has an extremely fluffy tail and his fur is free of all tabby markings save for some dark bands on his legs. Like his father, Oakshade, Cloudlagoon has a knack for making friends with even the most difficult of personalities. He knows how to fit in with nearly every crowd just as snug as the final piece of puzzle; however, his personality drastically changes from friend group to friend group. He is obsessed with fitting in and takes any form of rejection, regardless of how minor it may be, to heart. Cloudlagoon often loses himself in his efforts to blend in and forms superficial relationships with others. He is a friend to all but can count his best friends on one paw. On one side, it means he is well-liked with few enemies, but on the other, it means he doesn’t even really know who he is, as he defines himself based on his relationships with others rather than his own heart. Constantly juggling multiple personalities, Cloudlagoon is always wondering if his friends would accept the real him if he dropped the act, but at this point he doesn’t even knows who that cat is.

Weepingkit(willow) - she-cat - racer

A sleek misty grey she-cat, dotted with black speckles as if it had been raining ink with dazzling baby blue eyes that melt the heart of nearly any tom that gazes into them. She has most toms wrapped around her little paw, especially her father, Oakshade. She is daddy’s little princess and loves to be doted on and pampered, and he sure loves to spoil her. Due to her father’s over protectiveness she is a little over dramatic when something happens. She cries a lot, over even things that most kits can shake off with ease. A lot of it is for show but just as often those tears are real. Weepingwillow has a strict moral compass, following SunClan's code to the letter and trying to please her parents. She is always the first to report rule-breakers, to the point that most of her litter-mates call her a tattle tale. Her worst fear is being punished for doing something bad or wrong, so she does everything in her power to do the right thing in every situation.

Aspengrove is a warm brown tabby with hints of honey drizzled throughout her coat and a silken creamy white underbelly. Fortunately her heart is just as warm as her coat. She cares deeply for her friends and family, putting their needs before her own. This often leaves her in precarious positions, both physically and emotionally when others seek to take advantage of this sweet but naive she-cat. She falls victim often, always wanting to see the best in others even after experiencing the worst others have to offer. And the worst part? She is totally aware of it. Aspengrove believes that if she takes the blunt of other cats’ rage then perhaps she can help clear the darkness from their hearts. Always assume the best, be prepared for the worst, and wear the same gentle smile either way. Aspengrove is too good for this world and if someone doesn’t protect her she probably won’t be here that long at all...

Pinekit(needle) - tom - hals

A gray and white tabby tom with hazel eyes. His black stripes are thin and narrow like pine needles and so close together that at a distance he doesn’t really even look much like a tabby. Pineneedle is one of the smaller kits in his litter yet is the first his siblings turn to when in a pinch. Like his father, Oakshade, Pineneedle is a very gentle and affectionate cat although, like his mother, Tinymutiny, he does not want anyone to see that side of him. As what he would describe as a cruel twist of fate, Pineneedle was born with a natural charm that draws other cats to him like moths to a flame. He’s an introvert yet always surrounded by cats no matter what he tries to do. But can you blame his companions? He stays true to his word and makes things happen even when all odds are against him. He’s helpful, charming and falls right into the leadership slot as if he was made for it. However, for as much as some cats trust him, Pineneedle also trusts other cats perhaps too much, and can be easily exploited because of it.

Cedarkit(drop) - tom -Phantom

A large, long-furred torbie tom with olive green eyes and white chest, front paws and underbelly. Flashes of cedarwood red tabby mix 50/50 with bark brown throughout this tom’s pelt, giving him a very rare coloration for his gender, which has unfortunately rendered him infertile. Luckily Cedardrop doesn’t care much for kits and gets sort of flustered around them, not sure how to play or even generally interact with the tiny, flimsy things. That being said, he would die for them, no question. Cedardrop is the selfless type who dreams of dying in battle protecting someone he loves. Ridiculously strong, this tom has always shined bright even among his siblings, and many have high hopes for him someday becoming a Janus based on that merit alone. Compliments, praise, admiration, he loves it all and has a big ego. He pictures himself a hero, someone that’s there in one’s time of need, the Chosen one who will save SunClan from certain destruction someday. As long as everyone supports him, things are great but, if someone rejects his help or criticizes him, he's likely to start a fight or make the situation worse. He’s the one that’s supposed to save the day: Let him live out his destiny.

Snakebounce is a small tom, the runt of his litter, who looks very much like the combination of his parents. Medium-length seal gray fur envelopes his demure frame broken up by patches of white on his face, neck, front paws and underbelly. His charcoal stripes are swirled together much like a coiling serpent. Cheeky, but with the tendency to squeak, Snakebounce is both a great joy and a great annoyance. He always has a smile on his face, a spring in his step. This tom lives his life in the moment and can make anything fun, yet it also seems like he never takes anything seriously, shouldering off his work on the cats around him so he can do more frivolous activities like chasing butterflies or seeing how high he can stack stones. Snakebounce acts dumb and many cats think that he is but in truth he’s very intuitive. He is aware that SunClan’s stringent rules have a negative effect on some cats and finds that putting a smile on their faces is the greatest reward that there is. Snakebounce is concerned with being liked and if he can’t win a smile he takes it personally. He is often plagued with self-doubt and worries so much about public approval that he tends to over groom, resulting in the occasional bald patch. He fights his demons with a supportive family at his side. Sunlight is his medicine and you can always count on finding Snakebounce sunning himself at the same time and place when the weather is fair, soaking up his deity’s healing warmth.

Wakekit(robin) - she-cat - MorteAutumnal

Chestnut brown fur cloaks this she-cat, broken up only by patches of creamy white on her chest and underbelly. Her coat is smooth and stripe-free with umber accents framing her face and the ridges of her back and tail. Although colored differently, Wakerobin is the very picture of her infamous grandmother, Foxbane, from her long-legs and fox-figure to the mischievous glint in her hazel eyes. Thankfully, that is where most of their similarities end. Wakerobin is considerate, funny and makes friends easily. She has a lightning-quick wit and has a warm smile that puts others at ease. However, she also has a bit of a short fuse, particularly if she feels ignored or overlooked. This brown she-cat is part of a large family and hates the idea of being regarded as “just another one of them.” As such, she tends to exaggerate her actions and thoughts to define herself as different from the rest. She idolizes Glowstar and dreams of someday being as loved and adored as she is. Wakerobin also mirrors many of the DayClan leader’s anarchic beliefs and wants SunClan to be more loose with their borders.

Fillykit(leap) - she-cat - Spot

Toffee brown tabby stripe against a milky cream base, Fillyleap is a bit of an oddity among her extensive family. Like her father, she is a large cat, but, otherwise, she looks very little like either of her parents. She has a narrow face and is quite lean; well-muscled, swift, sure-footed. Her most notable feature is her set of blazing topaz eyes that are as unnerving as they are beautiful. Fillyleap is that kind of she-cat who is unbreakable, untamed. Don’t you dare tell her what she should or shouldn’t do. A born rebel, Fillyleap has a hatred for rules and regulations and believes that cats are meant to live more whimsical lives. She is extremely intelligent and skillful at reading others. So, from the second she set eyes on the Sun God as a kit, she innately knew he was an absolute idiot and her opinion of him has never changed. SunClan is a prison to her and she is very vocal about her dislike of its code and restrictive traditions. Some wonder why she hasn’t left the Clan and the answer is easy: She loves her family. For as much conflict as she likes to brew, Fillyleap thrives best surrounded by lots of cats, and she couldn’t imagine her life without even a single one of her siblings, cousins, aunts, uncles, etc. She knows when to push and when to pull and is always treading that fine line of being a full member of SunClan or being a prisoner in Janus camp. She certainly spends a lot of time playing both roles. Many cats love her, many cats hate her, but none of them will even break her spirit.

Cherrykit(mahogony) - she-cat - @samiam

A tawny torbie she-cat with sweet caramel eyes and a cherry red nose. Her fur is short but thick and fluffy with flashes of deep mahony tabby scattered throughout although it fades seamlessly into her brown tabby markings as if blended by a skilled paw. She’s a fairly large cat with long legs and well-muscled limbs, although her personality is even bigger. Highly opinionated and with the tendency to bicker over what most cats find meaningless, with Cherrymahogany it’s her way or no way at all. No one can do it as well as she can and so long as you realize this you will get along well. This she-cat is insanely creative and pushes the boundaries of acceptable body paint in SunClan. She is constantly petitioning to use more colors, and, when denied, does what she wants to do anyway. Her body is a canvas and limiting her to just one tool is the same as condemning her to SunClan’s prisons, which happens sometimes, resulting in some beautiful murals adorning the cold stone walls. Her greatest fear is dying and not being remembered for all of the work that she has done and her dream is to paint murals of the Sun God in all of the Clans’s territories.

Valleykit(rose) - she-cat - Jadie

A gorgeous calico she-cat with sunstone eyes. Most of Valleyrose’s coat is as white as sugar with tabby splotches of beige, coffee brown and tangerine. Her fur is soft and medium in length like her father’s with a particularly beautiful, billowy tail. Her identical twin is Magnoliablush and the two of them are almost inseparable, save for when Valleyrose sneaks away to have a fling or two or three. She tells every cat that they are the only one for her and, in the moment, they pretend to believe it. It’s no secret that Valleyrose likes to collect hearts but it’s easy to forgive a she-cat who is just so charming. While she reveals very little about herself, she seems to know a whole lot about the target of her affection and wants to know more. And what better topic of conversation is there other than oneself? Valleyrose is a social butterfly who laughs at every joke and is quick to give praise. Few would guess that a cat as sociable as her struggles with confidence. She’s a people-pleaser and a follower; if someone else doesn’t take the lead, she doesn’t really know what to do. She hates that about herself. The last thing Valleyrose wants to be is an accessory to someone else but her life is heading that way and she doesn’t know how to stop it.

Magnoliablush is a high strung young she-cat dedicated to what she wants and how to achieve it. She has a sweet and charming disposition. She takes great pride in her appearance, and cares a lot about her spotless reputation. Most of her coat is as white as sugar, with splotches of beiges, coffee brown, and tangerine. Her eyes as golden as the sunlight reflecting upon the river. She eventually wants to tie the knot with a respectable SunClan tom and start a family of her own. Although she is well-mannered, she has a way of insulting others without coming off as rude. She can be rather controlling, and expects perfection from herself and all those around her. She is easily frustrated when others don’t meet her expectations, taking over whatever task she had left for them to do until she physically just can’t do anything more.
