Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
"Fine." Oakshade said tersely and grabbed Tinymutiny by her scruff. There really was no nice way to do this so he moved as fast as he could toward a branch in the tunnel. It was not very far but a lot more private; if there wasn't so much foot traffic along this tunnel, it would make a very nice den. She felt light as a feather for him as he drug her down the path, gently sitting her down in a small groove. This would have to do.
"What in the world is Tinymutiny doing outside of the nursery? I gave you strict instructions to keep her in her nest unless a healer was with her to avoid this exact situation."
Wolfpaw had evidently found Bloodyrondo first and the fiery Priest Promised was not happy to find this laboring she-cat tucked away in an obscure tunnel. It was unclean, his herbs he had set aside for her were still packaged tightly inside the nursery and lighting was terrible. One look at Tinymutiny's heaving sides told Bloodyrondo that it was too late to move her now. It was going to happen right here.
"Oakshade, you need to move." But the large brown-and-white tom refused, meeting the Priest Promised's eyes like a cornered animal, feral and ready to fight for his life. A low growl rose in the back of his throat as Bloodyrondo tried to draw nearer.

Tinymutiny wiggled in his grasp, shrieking as the weight her pregnant belly was focused downwards as she was carried towards the side tunnel. Luckily it wasn't far but painful all the same. When he finally dropped her she curled into a ball groaning and clawing at the ground underneath to keep herself from lashing out at Oakshade. She knew he was only trying to help in the back of her mind, but the primal instinct was screaming to fight him off. She waited on Oakshade to join her, but she was left alone in the dirt as he turned to face off with Bloodyrondo. Suddenly her screams echoed through the tunnels, a small kit making it's way into the world.
Oakshade whipped around when Tinymutiny screamed and, although his eyes were still blazing feral hazel, his expression softened. He felt warmth on his paws and realized that her water had broken. His panic only rose and he was not thinking straight, repeatedly unsheathing and resheathing his claws agianst the warm stone floor. The distraction was all Bloodyrondo needed to shoulder his way past the brown-and-white father.
"Congratulations." Bloodyrondo pulled the first kit away from the Queen and handed it over to Oakshade; he didn't exactly have any other options. There just simply was not enough room in this cave for another cat, "A tom." He was interrupted by a squeak, "Good, he's breathing. Groom his fur the wrong way then put him up to her stomach. They next one is coming soon."
Oakshade suddenly had is first kit resting between his paws and was dumbfounded. At least his claws were staying sheathed.
"What are you waiting for, mouse-brain?" Bloodyrondo already had another kit between his paws, "Hurry up!"
And so he did, brushing the birthing fluids away from the little tom's fur. Was this a dream? He felt like he was moving in slow motion but the onslaught of kits was rapid-fire.

The kits came quickly, one after another each of the little ones fighting to get out of her crowded womb and out into the open air. With each birth, Tinymutiny became weaker and weaker. The pushes were becoming weaker and weaker, and she seemed to be fading. She didn't even have strength to make any snarky comments, when normally she would have shreded Bloodyrondo's ears for laying a paw on her. A lesson he had learned the hard way when Littlestar had sent him to give her a morning checkup in the nursery. She was at high risk, so many of the Clan's healers had been cycling through to keep a close eye on her progress and try to keep her in the nest. She laid on her side, unable to keep her headed lifted any longer it rested on the soft dirt of the tunnel "I can't do this" she sobbed, tears streaming down her face "Oakshade you have enough kits now just make it stop" she pleaded, begging for this to end. The contractions still rippled through her sides, but she had stopped trying to push the kits out. The labor was stalled, eleven kits already squirming around at her belly rooting around for milk.
Bloodyrondo placed his paw against Tinymutiny's side and felt another contraction, weak but that was undoubtedly what it was, ripple through her whole body. He examined her more closely and saw the promise that there was at least one more kit coming. When was the last time one she-cat had a litter of twelve kittens? It was mind-boggling, especially since the mother was a first time queen and rather small herself. Foxbane's fertility was no joke, "There's another one, but after that I think she is done." Bloodyrondo declared, looking back to Oakshade, who very nearly looked as tied as his mate.
Twelve kits? How in the world were they going to manage that? While no one doubted this was going to be a big litter, he was a large tom and she was a small she-cat. It wasn't outlandish to believe that she had half a dozen large kits in there, but it turned out she actually and a dozen small ones. He gulped. Mapledawn only had four and they were hard enough to handle...
"Oakshade you have enough kits now just make it stop..."
"You're almost done. There's one more." While his adrenaline was still pumping, he had mastered himself somehow and dedicated his fury to compassion. He pressed his muzzle up against hers, "They're so beautiful, my love. I promise. Just give one more big push. You're the strongest cat I know; you can do this!"
"I never said there was only one but okay..." Bloodyrondo murmured as he got in position to receive the kit, who appeared to be fiery red like himself.

“It hurts” she whimpered, a far cry from the she-car that usually met every challenge head on with claws unsheathed. Her body was trembling. It was only only her mates gentle words and encouragement that kept her from giving up “one more push..” she repeated through gritted teeth her eyes squeezed closed. She placed her paw on his, mustering what strength she had to get the last of the litter out. She pushed hard, claws digging into the dirt and Oakshade’s fur as the last of the twelve kits made their appearance. Tinymutiny’s head falling back to the ground, panting for air
