Thistlestar stepped into the shaded glade, a stern and rather cold expression framed his angular face as he took in the empty land. Despite the harsh heat of Newleaf, the glade felt cool and fresh thanks to the surrounding trees that shaded the glade that was frequently used for Springclan training. After taking a long look at the glade, he turned back to the group of cats that slowly made their way into the cool glade. Thistlestar had never ran such a massive training group ever, even as a Deputy. The idea was intimidating to say the least, but thankfully he would not be doing it on his own. With the help of his loyal deputy and select cats known as The Trusted, he knew the likelihood of the training failing would be slim to none. The expansive group of skills each Warrior had worked perfectly to give the apprentices, both of the exchange and of Springclan the opportunity to learn from different ranges and perspectives. Thistlestar couldn't ask for a better group of cats to aid him.
"Come on into the center, once we all settle down, we can start the training for the day." He commanded cooly, his deep velvet voice echoed loudly in the glade.
Harewhisker sat near her leader, tail wrapped around her paws as she began analyzing the apprentices around her. She paid special attention to their actions, how they interacted with each other or didn't interact at all. Those who were showing off or making friends. This would certainly be interesting.
Thistlepaw bounced around, checking out all the new apprentices she was surrounded by. She rushed up to the closest one after Thistlestar had spoken, skidding to a halt right beside them and flicking her tail excitedly. "Hi," she said, voice bubbly. "I'm Thistlepaw! Let's train together!"

Eclipsingpaw sat down beside the other apprentices of SpringClan that had chosen not to participate in the exchange. Of course, now they were being dragged into training with strangers anyway. He wasn't necessarily against it, but large groups always bothered him and this was no exception. The white tom waited with his tail flicking slowly at his paws. He assumed Thistlestar would assign them to work with certain cats or give some further direction, but at least one of the outsiders was in a hurry to get the ball on a roll. Eclipsingpaw was thankful he had not been approached by them, although he was itching to practice his fighting skills with some new opponents.
(cookie) Whiskers twitching, Legendarypaw glanced at Thistlepaw. He had signed up for this exchange to look for his lost sister, but it didn't seem as if Fabledpaw had come to Springclan. He only hoped that meant that she was far away from Swiftclan as well, since that's where Firepaw had been sent. Still, it was nice to get away from Fallclan every now and then, though he wondered if all of the apprentices he would meet would be this bubbly. "I'm Legendarypaw," he replied as his tail flicked onto his paws.
A small, bouncing apprentice stepped forward, his excited energy was bright and warm as he approached the leader boldly. Thistlestar couldn't help but smile, his expression kind as he took in the young apprentice. It was odd to hear the name again as he was once the bearer of said name a long time ago. It was oddly nostalgic to hear it spoken outloud again.
"Very nice to meet you Thistlepaw." The leader spoke, a quiet purr hung off the edge of his words as he spoke. "I would be honored to train with you. We have plenty of time for it while you are visiting here with us." His spring green eyes took in the young apprentice before turning back to take note of the apprentice that were arriving before turning back to Harewhisker. "It seems that that might be all the apprentices joining us today, don't you think?"
Thistlepaw was so excited that cats were already agreeing to talk to her and train with her. This exchange was the coolest thing ever! "Legendarypaw? Wow how are you gonna live up to that name?" She could see it now: in the future, she'd see him at gatherings and he'd be so important and she could say, hey, I know that legendary cat. "We're gonna be such good friends," she gushed. lavellan
When the cat who had called them to the glade approached her, she squeaked in nervousness before smoothing down the bright orange fur on her chest. "Oh, I just know you're gonna teach me the best moves." Thistlepaw followed his gaze and looked around with pleasure. This was going to be so fun. Consuela
The stubby-legged tom trailed in and hung around at the back of the crowd, feeling naked without his identical siblings around him. Carnage Panic had never been alone before he came here, and he hated every instant of it. his siblings were annoying, but they were still his family, and these cats weren't. The SwiftClan kitten was far out of his league in this new, friendly clan.
Swallowing hard, he sidled up near another alone-looking apprentice, Eclipsingpaw. "Hi," he whispered quietly to him. "Are you new here too?" Flurryofstars

Eclipsingpaw's head swiveled to look at the apprentice that had just approached him. He spoke in an almost shy manner that calmed the initial anxiety the SpringClan tom felt at being around someone new. This cat didn't appear to be the hyper-type nor the narcissistic kind though, which meant Eclipsingpaw might get along with him. He still couldn't believe that was even an option--to befriend outsiders and all. It was just so... weird. But if everyone else was okay with it, then he might as well get on board too.
"Uh, no," he said. "I'm from here actually." The words sounded awkward to his own ears, so he cleared his throat and tried to smile reassuringly. "Where are you from?" Cleaver
"Oh. That's nice." Carnage looked about dubiously. Was this a good place to live? It seemed very bright and friendly. "I'm from SwiftClan. We're a new clan around here," he said proudly, though he was born long after it was founded, and honestly, the clan felt ancient to him. "Why do you live here?"
Legendarypaw was saved from a response as Thistlestar spoke, and suddenly he was unsure whether he was still wanted in this little training group. Would it be awkward for him to join Thistlepaw and Thistlestar. Instead of addressing that concern, however, he locked in on the leader's question. His yellow eyes took in the unfamiliar area, realizing that currently he was the only Fallclan apprentice that he could see. He was surrounded by apprentices and warriors that he didn't know, without a single friend or acquaintance. Well, that would have to be fine with him.
Thistlestar laughed at the apprentice's bold confidence. "I will do my best, that I promise." The Springclan leader remarked calmly, trying not to chuckle at the sheer excited, nervousness of the apprentice. Ever since his own litter, it was difficult for Thistlestar not to find himself melting in interactions with the younger cats. His mind drifted over to his own kits, whom mostly all joined the exchange and were situated in their new, temporary clans. As much as he was concerned for them, he knew that the alliances between the four clans were strong. They would protect the exchange apprentices with their life as he would with Springclan's exchange apprentices...

Eclipsingpaw gave a slight tilt of his head. He'd heard weird things about SwiftClan--that they were unable to hunt for themselves and had to resort to begging. Still, he didn't believe everything he heard. Especially with the apprentice acting so proud of himself. His head snapped back into place at the next question though.
"Um... because I was born here?" he said, not hiding his confusion. Then, before he could further offend the cat, he pushed back a smile. "And it's a nice place I guess. I'm Eclipsingpaw by the way. You?"
Thistlepaw purred at Thistlestar's attention but turned back to Legendarypaw, bumping into him with her shoulder. "So, we're gonna be training partners right? Why don't you show me a thing or two right now!" The garden keeper apprentice shoved him a bit harder this time and then jumped back quickly, wiggling around in excitement. lavellan
Carnage rolled his eyes. "Yeah, I get that you were born here, but why does your clan live here? It's so bright and colorful and, you know, don't you get bored being in the same place all the time?" The clan had never moved since he joined, but he was already growing restless in SwiftClan - that's why he was sent here, he supposed.
