Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Oakshade has decided to throw his mate, Tinymutiny, a surprise baby shower in celebration of her pregnancy. Originally, the party was supposed to be in SunClan; however, due to the fact that many members of Tinymutiny's family are not exactly... welcome... in her home, he moved the party to DayClan! The venue is White Tree and the event is also catered by DayClan since they are such good cooks. Families are encouraged to bring their kits and yes you can absolutely crash the party!
Ongoing Games (for this & all threads): Don't Call Me "Kit" - Everyone who arrives to this event is given a small white feather that clips on the ear. When someone slips and says the word "kit," the person who catches them gets their feather. Whoever has the most feathers at the end of the shower wins. You can only take one feather per slip up.
Games in Other Threads: Bad Baby Advice [LINK]: One cat asks the group a question related to raising kits and the next person to post answers the question as terribly as they possibly can. At the end of their answer, they ask the next question. The goal is to remain completely serious and NOT laugh :3

"Alright Tinymutiny, remove your blindfold."
Blindfolded or not, it was terribly obvious that Oakshade had lead his very pregnant mate to some sort of party. For starters, they had passed DayClan’s border just a few moments ago, and it was quickly becoming a tradition that SunClan threw all of their best get-togethers in the neighboring Clan’s territory. There was also the fact that many scents of other cats, most of which Tinymutiny would recognize from her past, wafted toward them along with the fragrant aroma of White Tree.
“Oh fine, I’ll do it.”
Oakshade was too impatient; he carefully removed the veil and presented Tinymutiny with quite an elaborate sight. Pink and blue flowers accented all of DayClan’s natural beauty and rested against platters of all types of exotic prey. Quail, chinchillas, roadrunners and more, Oakshade had gone through great lengths to supply treats he thought Tinymutiny may have never tasted before seeing as lately she didn’t have an appetite for her favorites. More distracting than the food, however, was the presence of Tinymutiny’s extended family. Foxbane had many, many kits, some of which Tinymutiny had never met before, but it seemed a good chunk of them had made the journey.

Tinymutiny had almost put an end to this farce before even getting to the party. The walk was long and hard for her, carrying the extra weight of all the kits she was carrying. Her sides were heavily swollen, protruding out past her hips leaving no room for doubt that she was expecting. In fact even though she was only roughly half way through her pregnancy she looked like she was ready to deliver any day. It had taken a lot of encouraging and guilt tripping, but the reluctant mom to be had finally arrived at the big event. As scents familiar and unfamiliar flooded her nose, he paws slowed to a stop leaning into her mate letting her tell intertwine with his as the veil he created for her was lifted
She blinked, blinded by the sudden bright light as the figures of the cats around them began to came into focus "Ok... Just one question, what in the sun god's name is a baby shower?"
"You're really never heard of a baby shower, Tinymutiny?! They are the best!" Oakshade had a big smile on his face. Even seeing all the cats gathered around, she hadn't tried to shred his ears. It was too early to celebrate but it seemed like she was at least open to this. She'd better be, "A baby shower is a party held for a she-cat who is expecting. All of her closest friends and family get together, play games and some even give gifts. In other words, it's one big get-together and you are the star of the show. Now follow me, I'm sure you are hungry, like I said earlier there's some crazy good food to eat. After that we can go around and say hi to everybody. There's cats from all over the forest here, even SwiftClan! You have such a large family!"
Tinymutiny looked like a cornered field mouse, wide eyed, bristled fur, twitching tail and all as the reality of the situation began to sink in. Not only was her mother here, but all of her long lost children that had been scattered throughout almost all the known clans. There were so many cats that she didn't know, distant cousins perhaps? Were had Oakshade even found them all? It was like she was caught up in a nightmare. Her first instinct was to run, but with her heavily swollen belly and being surrounded it was hard to piece together that she wouldn't be making it very far even as her eyes scanned for an escape route. It was all far to overwhelming as her senses began to kick into overdrive, ending with her standing their awkwardly as he mate tugged her toward where all the different foods had been prepared, her paws moving of their own volition

Foxbane had finally given birth to her kits some time ago. And, as usual, the feline appeared almost as if he had never been pregnant at all, now that they were weaned, save for the scent of milk still clinging to her fur. Her fur hid most of the remaining signs, and the she-cat walked as if kits didn't tired her out, even eleven of them. Perhaps that was because she allowed them more freedom than they ought to have. Today wasn't much of an exception.
At current, the ex-Priestess was arranging the gifts that had been brought, with enough eyes watching her that she couldn't have stolen one if she wanted to. Which she didn't, actually. She wanted this to go as smoothly as possible. Though with certain kits of hers... maybe that was unlikely.
Smokepaw had been dragged on a hunting patrol and as usual, the tom had taken off at some scary sound. He shot through the territory until a very familiar scent hit him. That was SunClan! He immediately thought about Gingersnap. Was she here to see him?? But no, he didn't see her. Just normal scary cats. The black and white tom turned immediately to leave White Tree but as he turned, he was face to face with one of those painted cats and oh no why did they always look like that? Smokepaw scrambled backwards, running into a very pregnant she cat. "I am SO SORRY!" he cried, trying to run off, but this time he banged into some food and sent it sprawling. The DayClan apprentice stepped in it and jumped away, leaving little pawprints on the ground as he tried to flee. Dang his stupid bumbling paws, now the SunClan cats were gonna kill him!
Tinymutiny scrunched her nose, as the intense smells of the food got stronger and stronger. It was enough to send waves of nausea washing over, stopping her in her tracks as she tried not to vomit. The moment she paused was when the you apprentice came crashing into her
In seconds Oakshade was at Tinymutiny's side, putting himself between his mate and Smokepaw, a scowl on his face. It didn't suit him. The towering brown-and-white tom was rarely riled and always wore and easy, almost dopey smile, but his instincts were working against him. As much as he though this baby shower was a great idea, now that she was here and things were getting started, he found himself very insecure. There was little he could do to protect Tinymutiny should the situation turn sour.
"Watch were you are going, little one." He said through gritted teeth, turning next to him to give Tinymutiny a couple nervous licks on the shoulder, "Are you okay, prin--- Tinymutiny? He didn't hurt you, did he?" cookieracer
Steepfall had debated on whether or not he was going to show his face at this weird SunClan event. He hadn't even met his half-sister Tinymutiny and didn't particularly care to, but, more importantly, he wasn't sure if he should face Foxbane. Technically she aught to kill him but, now that he was back in the Clans, it was only a matter of time before they crossed paths. He couldn't think of a better place to do it that DayClan, neutral territory and home of his mother's soon-to-be wife, as well as her most recent litter of kits, it seemed. Surely she wouldn't choose now to make a scene...? Maybe she had gone soft in her old age? She was too unpredictable to guess, but he was sick of treading carefully on Clan territory now that he was home. He wanted to close the door he left open when he fled from initiation so he could begin the rest of his life. Littlestar may be High Priestess now, but he didn't believe for a second that she was in charge given that Foxbane was still around.
The black-furred tom scanned the crowd and zeroed in on the former High Priestess pretty quickly. These cats were mostly her descendants and thus smart enough to know to give her space; he found her where the crowd was thinnest.
Mapledawn sat near by trying to keep an eye on her own kits. The golden she-cat loved her children with all her heart of course, but couldn't wait for them to become apprentices. She missed being able to go out in the forest without the worry of what could possibly be going on with her kits back at the nursery. Especially Duskkit, she always feared the worst when she was away from her more fragile kit, though she trusted his siblings would look after him when she couldn't. Still even now, she watched him like a hawk.
Why he had been invited Lightdawn didn't know. The white tom made his way over to the younger sister he hadn't known he had. Stopping in front of Tinymutiny and Oakshade he would dip his head in greeting. Standing so close to the queen the two almost looked identical save for the fact that his fur was white where hers was gray. "Please excuse the interruption" he purred politely, noting the apprentice in front of them. "I just wanted to introduce myself and thank you for the invitation."

Tinymutiny leaned into her mate, choking back what her stomach threatened to spew feeling the licks on her shoulder "I'm fine" she tried to reassure him. She had seen that look on his face before, right before he freaked out and almost got himself killed. She nosed his cheek, more affection than she usually showed him in public, but he need to know that the apprentice hadn't done any real harm. She flicked her tail over his back, turning to the new cat. It was almost like looking into a mirror, but the tom was whiter and much larger than the tiny she-cat. She nodded "Hello" before leaning into Oakshade's ear "You made the guest list, who is that?"
Smokepaw didn't even answer the SunClan tom because he was so scared. "Uh, okay!" he cried, deciding it was time to get outta there. The apprentice scampered off before they could change their minds and murder him. Over his shoulder, he had the manners to cry out something that sounded like, "Congratsonthebabys," but you couldn't really be too sure. The dirty pawprints trailing behind him faded as whatever food was on his paws rubbed off. Like usual, he disappeared.

Riverwolf gave a wave of one paw to his daughter from the back of the area before yawning. Foxbane would have sliced his ear off if he had thrown one of these things for her at the time. Good thing she seemed a bit more pleasant and tolerable than those days. Seeing his other kits, Lightdawn and Darkdusk, made him blink in surprise a few times. It had been a while, for sure. Riverwolf was fully aware he had never been the "proper" dad to those kits or his most recent ones, but that was never his goal anyways.
Darkdusk, a black-furred, blue-eyed she-cat, padded up shyly behind her brother, placing her tail lightly on his shoulder before also nodding to Tinymutiny. "Ah, me too. I'm Darkdusk." (she exists I swear, i just don't know where)
Leaguerat placed her own gift next to the others, turning it slightly crooked just to annoy her mother before stalking away to join the others gathering around.

Foxkit: You had followed your adopted Mother to the gathering and was now helping to organize the gifts that were being put in a pile. You flick your tail lightly up and down slowly as you work. You didn't know most of these cats so you stayed close to those you did know.

Tinymutiny spotted her father, even though her hadn't approached through the crowd of strange cats that surrounded the couple "You got my father to show up?" she turned looking at Oakshade with disbelief. At least that explained the unexplained family members crawling up out of the cracks to reappear "Your Riverwolf's kits?" she questioned turning back to the two cats before her
