Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Fuzzyheart came up beside Volcanicpaw suddenly, he brushed up against her with a loving purr, “Hey you, it’s our daddy daughter date, I was thinking we could have a spa day. Back in Primal Instinct they have a public spa for any cat to come to.”
Volcanicpaw always seemed a bit shy, which was a shame because she was perfect. He always wondered if it had to do with her pelt, she had a tortoiseshell design while her siblings all had the typical bengal colors. In his family anyone who didn’t have the bengal fur pattern was typically neglected, not thought of as anything special, but he didn’t want that to be the case for Volcanicpaw. Volcanicpaw’s aunt, Sweetiepeach was like her, she had white bengal legs, but the rest of her was black, maybe if he brought her along the two could bond. Or maybe he was overanalyzing this… Either way he just wanted a day with her to make her feel happy and celebrate her promotion as apprentice.
The sudden appearance of her father, Fuzzyheart had once been a matter of surprise but over time she had grown accustomed to it, bristling fur and wide eyes replaced with a wary but inviting smile as his scent twirled its way around her. "Hey dad, you planned a spa day? I wasn't expecting anything that big." In all honestly she hadn't been sure what to expect, when it came to her dads she could never truly tell what was going on in their heads.
"Yeah," Fuzzyheart said, almost convincing himself that this was happening. He wasn't one to pamper himself, he wasn't like Peachblush. The thought of lying down and being groomed in anyway always felt lazy, greedy even. But Volcanicpaw deserved to feel pretty and treated like a princess. So even if he wasn't sure about the spa day he was certain that this was what his daughter needed and he would do whatever it took. "So are you ready?"
Volcanicpaw nodded, still unsure about his choice for their time together, she wouldn't complain though since he seemed so excited. "Yeah, lets go." She gave him a smile, it was small but a any form of happy from the young she-cat was rare. "How far way is it? Should we eat on the way there?"
"It's a little ways out from Sweet Sable Woods so it shouldn't be too far," Fuzzyheart reassured her.
It was odd, he never would have guessed he would have a future like this, one where he would have a tortoiseshell furred daughter going out on a spa day. He always thought he would keep the bloodline pure with a bengal she-cat, scare his kits into submission, raise a small empire that slowly conquered the globe, and make his mother proud. But now none of those things held any value to him like they had before and even then they only held weight because he was told they were important.
He leisurely guided her from camp and into the cherry blossom woods, close by were two-leg neighborhoods and further ahead was the city. He was built to look terrifying and the lack of an eye with a large scar gaping over where his eye once was only cemented his criminal appearance. It was why he strode so confidently, it was unlikely anyone sane would mess with him. When they got a bit further, close enough that he could almost see the building in the distance he looked back to Volcanicpaw, "Do you want me to grab you food or are you not hungry?"
Volacanicpaw was enjoying their walk, a relaxed look and slight smile present, for the time being all of her doubts had vanished; not worrying about her appearance or the disappointment in herself that she held close to her heart. It was a good feeling, freeing in many ways even if it was only in this moment. The whole way until they stopped she stole glances at her father, wondering if she could be like him some day, it seemed impossible but that's what dreams were for right?
She was snapped out of her thoughts at the sound of Fuzzyhearts voice asking her a question and although she had only caught the last part it was easy to figure out he was asking if she was hungry. "Oh um, no, I'm not hungry." Followed by her words was a rather embarrassing grumble from her stomach, heat pulsed through her face and she looked at the ground. She hadn't done a good job at being prepared before they left, having forgotten to eat when she woke up and only just remembering the fact.
