Mountainsky was very happy to be taking a few minutes for herself, having left the kits sound asleep in the nursery. She hadn't expected to feel so restless without her duties as a warrior, instead having anticipated a nice change and maybe even a break.
The morning was bright and already hot as she made her way across camp, one ear twitching as it listened for the sounds of her kits. Satisfied that they were still asleep, she bounded the rest of the way to the freshkill pile.
