Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Strikhedoniadalisay was her SunClan name, but most of the time she was Glowstar of DayClan. She had a paw in each clan and worked for SunClan as more of a general. She would lead DayClan, but also supply SunClan with any resources they may need. Today though she was excited to have the free time away with DayClan to participate in the Celebration of Life Festival.
She carefully laid out stations, each one was supplied with a rabbit, herbs, fruits, and seasonings. In DayClan prey was brought to the freshkill pile for chefs to take, season and stuff before their clanmates ate. Because of this their prey wasn't just delicious, but also had important vitamins and nutrition laced in with every bite. If SunClan cats could take an interest in cooking too it would make them all the more healthy for adapting the culture.
"Would anyone like to take a stab at cooking a rabbit?" Strik asked.
Caramelcream was salivating as she looked over each of the ingredients. The scents overwhelmed her as did the bright colors especially of the fruits and seasonings. WinterClan was all snow and SunClan was all sunstone, but what this DayClan she-cat brought with her was positively vibrant and not easily as classified. It was a shame that this was a cooking class, though, Caramelcream had a crude palete and best and would just as happily eat a feast prepared by Glowstar herself as she would carrion pried off thunderpath.
She took her eyes off the food only when Strikhedoniadalisay spoke which, for the record, was coincidentally the same moment a big gob of drool fell on the stone ground beneath her paws, "YES MA'AM! So what are we doing exactly? I don't think any amount of herbs here are gonna heal this rabbit but I guess anything is possible!!!"
"We're making the food taste better. The best part of rabbit is their heart, liver, kidney, and lungs. So we're going to want to first skin the rabbit and add anything I didn't mention into the freshkill pile. We call those leftovers if anyone is still hungry after the meal. Then you'll take out the organs and we'll get started on making them tastier than you could ever imagine!" Strikhedoniadalisay explained.

Carrotkit watched with interest as the senator talked about cooking. He bobbed his head up and down "I don't know what all those things are, but sure!!" He dove onto the rabbit, blindly starting to pull things out of the body indiscriminately. After all an organ was an organ.. right? "Pull out the stuffles on the inside complete captain!!!" he gaze proudly on his messy work at the shreded body that laid before him.
"Great work Carrotkit!" Strikhedoniadalisay praised. She gave him a gentle pat on the head and moved a cinnamon toasted rabbit leg over to him. The legs of rabbits weren't very filling, but a lot of younger cats enjoyed just gnawing into the flavorful tasting meat when it was toasted under the sun with just a few sprinkles of cinnamon.
"As a reward you can gnaw on this. I'm going to go fix yours up to bake under the sun, alright pumpkin paws?" She purred adoringly.
To her it was never the outcome, but the process that should be rewarded. Carrrotkit hadn't done the recipe right, but really what mattered is that he tried something new wasn't deterred that it didn't come out right.

Carrotkit beamed under the praise, not used to really recieving any. He took the leg a cute playful growl rumbling in his throat as he fled to the shade to enjoy it. The taste was already bathing in tongue in something that he had never experienced before. The orange tom began gnawing away at the meat on the bone, savoring every bite of the yummy meant. Unfortunatly, this day would have some rather unintended consequences come meal time the next day.
