Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Background: Fall and Summer have a LONG line of trees on their border, and one day Calamitystar was like: "Why don't we just shoot the border over, so we can have the trees?" But Ratstar and his patrol stopped them, accidentally setting into motion a recurring back and forth over the border line, as well as a friendly-ish rivalry that both leaders are too stubborn to let go of. Eventually it becomes more like fighting practice for the clans themselves.
This border skirmish is open to anyone who wants to join, warriors and apprentices. c: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Summerclan
"Again, Cal?! Didn't I make myself clear last time, ya bee-brain?!" Two lines of cats stood facing each other, with nothing but a small grove of budding trees standing between them. Ratstar stood at the head of his patrol, staring down the Fallclan leader with an annoyed scowl on his muzzle. The tabby tom really wasn't sure what had brought on this attempt to steal the treeline; Calamitystar had been surprisingly friendly back at the gathering, so he'd hoped that everything was peachy between Summerclan and Fallclan after the initial confrontation over this exact same patch of land. That was until a few minutes ago, where a patrol rushed back to camp with the news that Cal was up to his old tricks again. Tail lashing irritably behind him, the tom took a few steps forward until the tips of his paws touched the scent marker. "The treeline belongs t' Summerclan!"
Behind him, Seasparkleflash rolled his eyes. Was Fallclan really going to start a fight over this small cluster of trees? It felt so unnecessary. But on the other paw...the ginger-pelted tom felt his claws dig into the soft, cold soil under his feet. It had been a long while since his last good fight. Perhaps this was a chance to make sure his skills didn't get rusty; practicing against clanmates wasn't nearly as good as experiencing the real thing, after all.
Lightpaw stood a bit behind her mentor, Seasparkleflash. This was her first skirmish and she was feeling a bit nervous that she hadn't learned enough yet. Her skills were about to be put to the test, and the brown and cream apprentice wanted to impress her mentor and successfully defend her Clan's territory. She stepped up to her mentor and whispered, "Are they really going to fight us for some trees?"

"Heheheh...Ratstar, fancy seeing your mug here...by Fallclan's beautiful trees." Calamitystar answered with a challenging gleam in his ice-blue eyes. This was nothing new for the clans. In fact, this skirmish had almost turned into a joke with the tree's ownership going back and forth between the two clans. Sometimes he couldn't even remember which clan owned it at the moment. "Are you all ready?" He purred smoothly to the patrol behind him.
Bonemaiden rolled her eyes as the leaders bickered. "Can we just get on with this? I've got prey to catch and the clan has elders that need fed." She grumbled lowly.

Dawnmemories had come along too, mostly to see for herself what all this fuss was about. Of course she supported Ratstar but she also felt like this was more of a dramatic enactment than a brewing war. The red deputy huffed a little, saying nothing when Cal responded in a clearly petulant way and noting with a small degree of validation that Bonemaiden seemed to feel about this as she did.
Cherrypaw stood close by Seasparkleflash but thus far hadn't said anything to him, instead keeping her claws unsheathed and giving the FallClan cats her best intimidating scowl. This was serious business in her mind and there was no time for flirting or pleasantries. She had to be ready at a moment's notice.
Firepaw stared at his mentor, questioning what was going on through the leader's head. He had no idea how this fighting had even started, but yet here he was. Catching Cherrypaw's scowl, he turned his attention to the other apprentice and frowned. Even though he hadn't meant it to be intimidating, the fleshy burn on his face made it so.

Fallclan
Mythpaw stood near Firepaw, but far enough away that it was obvious they weren't cordial. He had always kept his distance from the orange apprentice due to Fabledpaw. However, right now they were 'fighting' for the same cause so he had to act somewhat like they were a banded force to intimidate the other clan.

Cherrypaw caught sight of Firepaw and growled, tail lashing. Close to her Maizepaw stood, looking far less tense. She nudged Cherrypaw to remind her to shut up. Until an order was given Cherrypaw had no business antagonizing FallClan.
Lightpaw shifted on uneasy paws. Nobody was moving still, and she was desperate for the uncomfortable atmosphere to break. Whether they turned and walked away or the scuffle broke out, she didn't really care. The apprentice was just tired of standing and waiting for something to happen. She accidentally took a step forward ahead of her clan, realizing that her tense body had moved of its own accord at the same time as she realized just how her action might look to FallClan. Oh StarClan, what if she'd just started the fight?
( oop i had meant to answer your question but i completely forgot sorry o: )
Fallclan Firepaw kept his eyes locked on Cherrypaw, only vaguely aware of Mythpaw's presence near him. He had no problem with the other tom, only with his sister, but he could understand why he was keeping his distance. At the thought of Fabledpaw, his eyes narrowed, the hatred radiating off of him almost palpable. To Cherrypaw, or any others watching him, it could easily be mistaken for animosity towards Summerclan.
