Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Hi everyone! I have a vague concept that can potentially lead to (many) plots and I'm looking for people who might be interested! Basically, I have a couple of characters (Rhiannon and Hywel) that I want to expand on more background-wise, and I thought it'd be cool if anyone wants to make new characters, for them to come from a similar background!
BACKGROUND Rhiannon and Hywel come from somewhere they call 'The Loch where Herne once Hunted,' which is very much to the north, some big lake by an abandoned village, where cats have naturally taken over. Up north, they believe in magic and witchcraft and alchemy (whether it's real or not, they don't know) and they believe in a god called the Green One based off the Green Man legend. The Green One is a creature that symbolizes rebirth, and has three heads that represent different things.
Foliate Head: completely covered in leaves, symbolizes life
Disgorging Head: has leaves coming out of its mouth, symbolizes death
Bloodsucking Head: has vegetation growing out of all orifices, symbolizes change/rebirth
Every year in the village, the cats believe that by sacrificing a life, one can transfer life to another (which would be vaguely like the 9 lives leaders have!) and therefore, they put two 'volunteers' together and one must die for the other to live. It happens once a year during the midsummer's night. Of course, not everyone born there believes that this is the way, but anyone who's found shaking the boat is sent away.
THE IDEA I was just thinking of like, different cats having left that past behind and settling down among the clans (there's no particular clan they need to be, and tbh it'd be fun if they were all in different clans too!) Rhiannon and Hywel have settled into MoonClan now, and I was thinking there could be other cats from this background that just have merged into the clans, and vaguely know of each other/recognise each other but they keep their past a secret because more often than not it's not a pretty picture. I sort of vaguely based the two off of ex-characters and tarot tropes. So I'm putting a few more up for adoption if anyone wants! They're not necessarily related, but they know/know of each other. There's no requirement for what they look like and I have a vague outline of what their personalities might be. I also have a few concepts without names, so you can claim those too if you'd like!
THE CHARACTERS REYNARDINE -the empress, kind, nurturing, but wrathful and violent when her emotions are raised/when seeking justice/to protect her family OPEN TREMAYNE - the emperor, wise, confident, naturally charismatic, but can be borderline arrogant OPEN (These two would most likely stick together. I feel like they'd be good for each other owo)
VERNE -the fool, outgoing and almost reckless, her bravery is borderline stupidity, always truthful, rarely has a background motive ACHROMATIC NIAMH - the tower, an agent of transformation, shifty, manipulative, knows how to get what they want without having to shed claws IAN(?) (sisters, I think they're gonna be in PI)
TARN -the chariot, free-spirited and lively, very adaptable, the most well-travelled of them all which gives her an understanding the others don't have COOKIE
UNNAMED ONES: You can pick their names/appearances and here's some vague personalities they can be based on! Remember that they're all Scottish/Irish descent, so the names should be somewhat from that background, or a warrior name because they're fitting in
HIEROPHANT - smart, knowledgeable, clever/calculative, very good at what they do but has trouble with authority STARK THE DEVIL - chaotic neutral af, likes to start drama for the sake of their amusement, spunky, flirty, has a lot of attitude STARK JUDGEMENT - stubborn, hard to be swayed, sees things in black and white JADIE THE WORLD - introspective, finds meaning and understanding in hindsight despite constantly wanting to move forward OPEN
OFC there are other tarot cards out there and if you want you can just pitch anything and join in! The more the merrier However I really do want the named ones & these categories filled so it'd be hella cool if you joined in. You're free to do whatever you want with them as well, there's only adventures not life-defining plots.
POTENTIAL PLOTS: - the devil: one day, someone finds a cat who's murdered with their body stuffed with rowan and yew leaves, and while others don't know what it means, anyone from the village would recognize the bloodsucking head. Could be a hella fun murder mystery plot with all of them kind of reluctantly working together to figure out what it is? I want them to be able to develop past their tropes this way
- judgement: maybe their goal can be to right a wrong from their past, either they agree/disagree with the village's teachings and one of the others is responsible for a crime back home that he has a vested interest in. Could be interesting vibe of 'best friend now turns out to have committed a murder of someone u know in the past' vibe.
- emperor: the idea that their greatest gifts and talents could be their greatest downfall as well. Just a way to explore that idk yet.
- having each group of characters believe in one head over the other and therefore having their goals be completely different. The Foliate head is to celebrate life, the disgorging head is to remember that life isn't forever (carpe diem) and the bloodsucking head is to find the source of immortality. Really fun to see these ideals clash with both other cats in the clans & amongst themselves
SO LIKE this is all still very vague ideas and I'm totally open to new things I just wanted to put this out there sorry for the long read, but pls....let me know if you're interested.....
I think I want to put Constantine in as judgment. Although he doesn’t quite fit it as you described but given his personality and special abilities I just want it! Hit me up on Skype tonight so we can plot xD

@jadie : that's fine! I'll message you later but I'm interested in what he's like hehe and we can do something fun with him!
@stark yes please! Just let me know where you put them & who they are! whispers also let's RP together uwu
I feel like it'd be hella fun just to have them interact with each other & have mini-plots and all too! Because they're based off tarots I always wanted them to sort of shift from their normal and reverse personalities depending on the struggle. IDK I JUST HAVE A LOT OF IDEAS and I like character development I'm sorry LOL

Yeah that's fine! But we should probably get some of the other babies into other clans as well then since Hywel & Rhiannon and Constantine are also in MC hehe (guess MoonClan's the popular choice uwu)
hi achro - i have too much going on to play the chariot now :c just letting you know i'm giving her back and putting the character (minus this plot) up for adoption
this plot is ummmmmm....stunning. in every way. i'm smitten. is there any way i could snag reynardine and the world? the naming scheme here is so brilliant, i'd love to fill up two places.
