A tall scrawny tom with cream fur and splotches of brown on his face, legs, and tail. This cat is easily recognized by his long legs, tattered ears, and bad attitude. Mantis is known for having a bit of a short fuse and some attitude problems, he is quick to anger and even quicker to lash out at any cat who dares test his temper. He was raised in the streets of the city with his brother Flintfeather. He is constantly going on about how he has spent time in “The Slammer” and how horrible that experience was for him. In reality, Mantis spent most of his kit moons in the pound after he was separated from his brother by twolegs. He was easily pushed around by the larger cats and had to learn to defend himself quickly. He only managed his miraculous escape after they left the door to his kennel open. With no idea where his brother was, nor if his mother was still living he decided to go back to the city, the only territory he knew best. When he found Primal Instinct he decided many cats were better than one and decided to join in. He plays by finders keepers rules he learned while locked up and can be caught selling other cats items he just “happened upon” and certainly didn’t stab anyone over. Although he is part of a group he is loyal to nobody, but himself.
