( Are you a member of the Eerie family? Yes? Well, come on down to the EERIE FAMILY GATHERING! Not sure? Well, check out this FAMILY TREE! If your characters are anywhere on it, then go ahead and jump in. c;
For the sake of this rp, ages are dependent on their canon age. Characters that are kit-aged are children, characters that are apprentice-aged are teenagers, and characters that are warrior-aged are adults. Apparently, there is a fountain of youth or other magic in play in this AU rp wherein characters live extraordinarily long lives, and don't age in appearance beyond their prime! )
The new Commander of the Regime wasn't quite willing to expose their underground base to outsiders, which perhaps wasn't all too surprising. Everyone knew the military police of the city had unbelievable technology, the best they could make or get their hands on, and they were quite keen on keeping their secrets, though Shule was starting to look into the selling of certain things to the gangs. Naturally, the next best place to host their gathering was Day's turf. It probably should have concerned the raven haired leader that there had been a few... ah, insistent voices telling her to let it be hosted there, and at least one or two warning against it, but really, it was the easiest option, considering her sister-in-law ran the gang, rather than trying to find some neutral ground.
It was a nice day out, luckily, and they had an entire park set up for the event. Really, Eerie gatherings were nothing like your normal family get together. Discounting the massive number of extended family alone, they were, ah, partial to the darker and more violent things in life, and that was quite clear. Weapons of every sort were set up with stations to test them, including a mini sword fighting arena, and there was a deadly obstacle course on the far end. Snack foods were strewn across massive tables, stations set up to cook things up fresh whenever anyone wanted, and there was a van in the corner Shule had ensured to fill with medical supplies... especially antidotes, because she really didn't trust that no one would get poisoned by the time this was over.
It had taken almost a week to get all the things here and set up, and she was pretty sure they'd bought out at least a few stores in the process. Or stolen most of their product, if the stack of reports laying on her desk back home was anything to go by.
Already, there was quite a crowd of relatives present, and she expected more soon enough.
After major debating and contemplating, Cas agreed to attend despite his better judgements. These things didnt go well. His family were a bunch of crazy psychopaths and he didnt find any enjoyment in being around them. Perhaps this time it would be different. He seriously doubted it but would it be wrong to hope it would be a normal family gathering? It didnt take long after arriving that he noticed the food spread. Eyes widening and mouth watering, he made a hasty walk over to the spread. Immediately, he began gorging himself in food which was probably the best part of these gatherings. Nobody would guess the young adult was so keen on food based on his short, yet, scrawny appearance - nothing more than a living skeleton with skin.
"Faris, can we please just have one nice photo of you?" Glow begged.
Alvah Faris barely looked away from his phone to look at her, he had thick black hair and a slim pale face. He turned back to his phone and before Glow could tell if he was done talking to her she got a text on her phone that simply said, "No."
"Okay well I'm still snapping a picture," Glow said. Alvah Faris's hand went up fast over his face, but it was far too late of an instinct and the picture was already shot. Glow had an actual high quality camera rather than a phone and grinned as she scrolled through to find the image excitedly. Instead Alvah Faris's face was blurred out by the sun, in the other pic he came out blurred, another one he was cut off by a random shadow. "How does he keep doing this!?" Glow hissed in annoyance. The only other person that had managed to do that was Rake.
"Aww hey aunt Shule, you look so pretty today," Lucistic said. Lucistic was horrifyingly tall, the long tattered open trenchcoat should of helped make him come off shorter by illusion, but instead it only seemed to highlight just how tall he was. He wore a glowing green face mask across his jawline and nose and goggles strapped across his eyes. That and he was splattered in blood, he had an early morning job and had stopped by as soon as the job was over. "I'll tell you, I've had a really rough day. I forgot I fell asleep in Day and so I went to go slaughter this traitor in the league, totally accidentally stabbed Fuzzy. I got the right guy in the end though."
"Cas." Her voice tickled the ear, the voice was radiantly slow like a fanciful song strumming at the low end of a guitar. His younger sister Lelia stood beside him before sitting down. She had short platinum blond hair and crystalline blue eyes they looked like they were plucked straight from an engagement ring. She looked mystical, untouchable, but unlike with Cas she had been raised by their uncle until their dad eventually found out of her existence. She hadn't really met Cas before, it felt... Right, "I'm Lelia, your younger sister," She smiled shyly, but even her smile was seductive and smooth, it was impossible to believe Lelia was anything pure when her good looks screamed trouble.
Cas listened to Leila and watched her sit next to him, ready to start up a conversation as he slowly shoved a deviled egg into his mouth. He took a moment to chew and swallow before he replied with a simple, "hey." Cas wasnt much of a chatter box. He was actually quite strange and had no friends. "Try these deviled eggs. They're delicious." He commented as he forcefully tried to shove a deviled egg down Leila's throat.
A black limousine screeched to a stop at the DayClan park forcing the people who had been standing there but a moment before to move or be hit, flames painted up and down the sides a clear indication of the people that rode inside were from SunClan and important at that. Littlestar flipped her long curly silver hair behind her shoulder, looking over at Bloodyrondo who had been stuffed into the car to sit between her and foxbane without being told where they were going or what they were doing a small smirk upon her face "Now, now Idiotbrother, be on your best behavior" she reached out a hand and patted him on the head, treating him more like a child than her promised "or don't, but it's your funeral" Littlestar ripped the duct tape that had been placed over his mouth and released his handS from their binds. After all, the last thing she needed was him saying something smart and getting into another fight with him right before the family reunion. He didn't know when to shush, so the duct tape had been merely a tool to help him out in that regard. Truly, it was one of the only ways of making sure that he made it to their destination safely. She waved her hand to the driver who pressed a button as the windows became less tinted revealing the crowd of eerie family members who had now gather around the limousine out of pure curiosity
"What the hell is this!?" Bloodyrondo rubbed his sore wrists, red from their bindings, then clambered out of the limo. He was a fairly tall guy - 5'11" (although he'd tell you he was 6') - and his back hurt from being sandwiched between the former and present High Priestesses. Not quite as much as his pride, though. Word would have gotten out at this point that he had been demoted from his rank as Priest Promised. There were a lot of reasons behind it but the main one was because he was trying to date Littlestar's daughter who was still in high school. Yeah, yeah, it's taboo and all, but there was only a couple years between them, it wasn't that bad. Little had totally overreacted and Bloody was convinced that the leader he so respected a few weeks ago was off her rocker. So, the ex-Priest Promised had made himself scarce, kept to his dorm room, claiming that he was focusing on his studies but most of the time he was just playing COD.
Well, no more. Little and Fox both had kidnapped him and drug him to... where was he exactly? He squinted as his eyes adjusted to the bright sunlight and he realized pretty quickly that this was a DayGang territory. A gathering. But not everyone here was DayGang, he saw a few Regime folks milling around, and then, of course, he was there. Then he remembered Dusky saying something about a family reunion coming up and Bloody groaned when he connected the dots, "I have an exam on Monday and you drag me out to an Eerie Family Reunion? I'm not even one of them!"
"Cas," Lelia said trying to shove his hand away, but she didn't seem very strong, she had a super model body. Appearing more civilian than any gang style, which was probably why she lost that battle and opened her mouth munching on the devil egg with a look mixed with defeat and pleasure. Her arms were crossed as she swallowed it and gave a small stubborn smile, "It's pretty good. I'd like another."
Dusky ran up to Shule coughing badly and tried to speak, but then only coughed more before catching his breath, "Kotori poisoned me!" He said pointing to Kotori from across the field and then breathed again, "And won't tell me what poison it is to find an antidote."
"Someday a horrible person is going to poison him and he's going to need to learn on his own how to save himself!!" Kotori said, with a safe distance away from Shule so about six yards.
Dusky had brought with him Unseenlights, but they had literally only just walked in when Kotori jabbed him in the side with a syringe and ran off. "So that's my older brother," Duskslayer introduced while still holding his side in agony.
Cas's lips pulled back into a handsome smile as he pulled up a chair to sit with his sister. He was relieved to hear that someone besides himself actually liked deviled eggs. Maybe it ran in the family. He dragged the tray closer, took one for himself, and handed another to Leila. "I'm glad you like them. They're my favorite." He shoved the deviled egg he had in his hand into his mouth. "So, your my little sister, huh?" He asked in a muffled voice from a mouthful of egg.
Flamingstar, NightGang's leader, approached with Kotori. She went by the name Flame, naturally. It sounded better than her full name. Her turquoise eyes were narrowed in annoyance at Dusky's dramatic reaction. "Oh, poor wee lad." Flame commented with a mocked frown.
Doc wasnt sure why he even came, his family entended to such a great number he didn't even know most of them and there was the simple fact that being in crowds was very.. what was the word, unpleasant? That worked. Alas here he was, standing in the shadows as more and more of the Eerie family gathered, his bright orange hair and pale skin still visible despite the shade that engulfed him. He was your typical teenage boy, seemingly distant from those around him and unwilling to socialize.
Phantom "OMG Doc, fancy seeing you here!" Melody approached her brother with probably Kool-Aid in one hand and cotton candy in the other. She hadn't picked these snacks for any reason other their their bright and playful colors. She was always dying her hair and right now it was midnight black at the roots and neon green at the ends, which only made her indigo eyes seem bigger and brighter, as if they needed the boost. Mel didn't wear a lot of makeup but as a rule she always wore lipstick: Today it was a safety orange. It clashed horribly with her army jacket and tartan leggings, "I didn't think any of you would be bold enough to come, honestly, our relation to the Eeries is sketchy at best. I'm impressed, bro."
She took a sip of her Koolaid, leaving a tangerine smeer around the lip of the solo cup, then sat it down on a nearby table and rummaged through her jacket for her cell phone. It had a lot of pockets, so this took some time, but she eventually found it and leaned in close to Doc, "Come on, smile for a selfie!"
*Melody is Discordantpaw, Discordant just isn't as cute a human name as her Warrior suffix will be, so... xD
His sisters voice rang in his ears and he turned his head slightly to get a look at her, he had come alone and honestly didn't think anyone else would show up so seeing her was a bit of a surprise. "Hey Mel, I'm surprised I'm here myself, but why did you show up?" He knew the relationships between them and the others wasnt strong, but he had always been curious about them.
As Mel pulled out her phone and told him to smile, he stepped out from the shade of the tree behind him, his ruffled orange hair brightening in the light and causing his fair skin to seem almost ghost like. He hadn't put much thought into his clothes and had settled on a pair of dark navy Jean's and a green shirt that matched the color of his eyes. "You know I dont like having my picture taken..." he wasnt camera shy, but the thought of someone, even his sister having a picture of him left a bad taste in his mouth.
Phantom "Oh, you know, I love a good party and any one with a bona fide Eerie at it tends to have a climactic ending. Can you imagine what it will be like when you put the whole lot of them together? Kotori already poisoned Dusky and not everyone is here yet," Melody replied, snapping the selfie anyway, even though her brother was no longer in the shot. Her complexation was about as pale as his but she was no ginger; it was mostly cuz she liked to stick to the shade on principle, it was much easier to eavesdrop that way, "Plus I have FOMO."
She was typing something on her phone - which had a shattered screen, of course - then hit send and dropped it back into a different pocket than it had been in earlier. Mel wrapped her arm around her brother's and leaned into him a bit, "So, whatcha wanna do, huh? There's all kinds of stuff here, it's basically a carnival, except with a lot more ways to die."

Really, he had just been watching. It was all a mess of chaos and he didn't feel the need to jump in, not yet. Least till a poisoning was mentioned. Then Funk seemed to appear by Duskslayer's side out of thin air. "Damn, what gall." Of course it was one of his own hunters that did it, but eh. Not his fault. Even the way he said it didn't evoke any sympathy. The Nemesis fished around in the pocket of his acid-washed denim jacket, too many things jingling around to be considered safe before he pulled out a vial. The Nemesis dangled it in front of Dusk's face, jacket pulled over in just the perfect way to hide the vulgar design on his white shirt. "Course, I got something here that will help. What do you say?" The vial was clear, nondescript. With liquid clear enough to almost be considered trustworthy. Though Funk's expression didn't waver one way or the other.
"Glow are you serious, unless we're going for a funeral event, the food is mediocre at best. It's not too late to save though, you are my best chef assistant," He said the last part sweetly in a sing song voice. Glowstar returned the kind smile and immediately tried to move quickly away from him, but in her tight dress she couldn't run far enough and Sean grabbed her hand with a mischievous smirk, "I bet you thought I was just being a really nice brother sewing you that custom dress, but now it's your prison and you can't say no."
Glow reached down with Sean's gaze following as she tore the fabric apart from the bottom hem of the dress partially up the center to give her leg space. Sean's entire face paled shrieking as he watched and heard the sound of fabric tearing, "I WORKED SO HARD ON THAT," Sean screeched hugging Glow tightly.
Glow's eyes lit up in surprise, "I'm- sorry? No I'm actually sorry and," She hugged him back only to get pushed off by him.
"I'm hugging the remains of your dress, not YOU! I can't believe you would tear a gorgeous dress like that!" Sean screamed at her, his eyes tearing up at he stared at the bottom portion of the torn fabric, "If I ever get a gift from you I'll remember to tear it a part in front of you too."
Lelia pouted at her brothers I gotchyah smile. She took a bite of another deviled egg, he didn't need to shove it in her mouth, but it also felt nice playing around, she never really got to do that before. She pulled her short hair behind her ear, "Yeah, mom did really trust dad to take care of me or my siblings so I lived with uncle Thane for a bit growing up, but I moved out of the gangs and all that the moment I could drive. Now dads dragged me back though so I'm in Night now. What about you, are you a part of Primal Instinct?"
Duskslayer looked helplessly at Flamingstar, very little running through his head except for pure survival.
"It's a lot of fun watching moms favorite kiddo struggle and squirm in his own skin. You know maybe if you begged a little I'd consider telling you what the poison is. You're in Sun Cult after all so ditching that pride and getting on your knees for us would be a considerable character improvement," Kotori said thoughtfully, his green eyes cruel and insincere before he reached up and kissed Flame on the cheek, "I'll show you this old bunker I used to have in DayClan. Plus it's quiet and hidden and away from everyone, while still maintaining the rule that we spend a day with them because we're still in the party, just underground."
Duskslayer coughed a bit more, unable to talk at this point, breathing was becoming harder, but not impossible. But when Funk E'tan dangled the antidote in front of him he grimaced knowing it was entirely suspicious and strange for Funk to happen to have that lying around and be that confident it was the cure to whatever Kotori gave him. He was almost certain it was a setup between them, but his shoulders sagged briefly before taking the vial and drinking it up. He wiped his lips before looking up expectantly at Funk. He still hadn't regained his voice back, but was certain there was a favor involved, as the nemesis didn't typically give handouts that he knew of.
"Hmh. Sounds interesting" Flame grinned, giving him a wink before turning to the struggling Duskslayer and Funk. "Oh come on, Captain Buzzkill. Your taking our fun."
"Me? In Primal Instinct? Oh no. I left that hell hole long ago. There was no way-" he cut off as his eyes met something passed Leila. "No way! They got a chocolate fountain!" He rose from his chair and began dunking anything he could find into the chocolate, filling up a plate. After stacking chocolate covered treats on his plate, he sat back down before his sister and began shoveling more food into his mouth. "Sorry." He said with a other mouthful of food. "I just love food. Like, whoever discovered chocolate was a genious! But a god must have created the chocolate fountain! Anyway, as I was saying. There was no way I was going to stay there. It wasnt the life I wanted to live. I soon found the Regime and they took me in. It's the only place I'll ever call home. What are you doing in Night?"
