Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
The backdrop of the sky swirled in colorful shades fading behind the horizon. Duskslayer had just put away his paint set, the festival must have ended by now, but it was weird. The cats that started coming back looked... Off. Like something happened at the festival, but he didn't really care about gossip so he finished up organizing his paint sets the way he liked it before deciding to stretch his legs. He stood up, but instead saw Bloodyrondo coming over, he couldn't tell if something felt off, but something his heart didn't feel right so he met him the distance over, "Hey," He started.
Bloodyrondo's eyes were really living up to his name. Bloodshot. He had been crying, although no tears were on his face now, just tracks in the body paint that had once been glamorous but was now ruined. Smeared too. The sun on his forehead was totally ruined. He did not approach Duskslayer with his usual flair. His tail was low, his shoulders slouched. He had been so desperate to get to Duskslayer but now that he was here he couldn't find any words, didn't know what he wanted. He had never felt so... hopeless. Bloodyrondo glanced up towards the pathway the lead to his den but just felt like he was sinking.
"Dusky... you've got to take me away from here tonight." He said in a quiet voice that was so, so unlike him, didn't even sound like him, "I don't care where. I just can't be around Littlestar tonight."
There was monster blood in his veins and he could feel it grow inside of him like a dark forest gaining root and height, nourishing off of the cold forming inside of himself. For what felt like a moment he disconnected from himself the same way the cold disconnected feeling from the skin. Even as the sun died behind the skies his turquoise eyes were piercing like blue flames in the night. He was something more primal in this moment, he stood taller and in the dark, less like a lethal guard dog and more like a wolf the way an Eerie should appear. Violent.
His carnivorous gaze altered, narrowing into thin slits and the voice that left his jaws felt like thunder, deep like a growl, and threatening as poison "Should I kill her?"
As soon as the words escaped him the biting cold released his heart and mind as he seemed to surface back. His turquoise eyes softening in Bloodyrondo's presence, he looked at his paw for just a moment as though expecting his feelings to be so strong that an aura could be seen fanning off of himself, but nothing was there.
"I-" He didn't know how to backtrack on what he said and realized after a second that it was because he meant what he said. He would kill for Bloodyrondo and a part of it scared him and... Felt right. Like it fulfilled him to have someone he'd kill for and in his mind he knew it should feel wrong, but it didn't. He meant every word he could feel it in his claws that he meant it even if in his heart he knew better and wanted to be better than saying such things.
"What? No." Bloodyrondo replied quickly, his foggy eyes brightening by just by how off the wall the question sounded. Kill Littlerstar? No, he must have heard him incorrectly. As angry and upset as Bloodyrondo was with his leader, the last thing he wanted her was dead, even though she may or may not have tried to kill him minutes ago. Aside from some scuffed up body paint the Priest Promised was wholly unharmed. His heart was all that was broken.
He turned his eyes back to Duskslayer and caught half a glimpse of a darkness he had never seen in his friend before. But it was fleeting, gone faster than it had come, and he was back to the same old Dusky again. Probably just a trick of the light. The Priest Promised let out a shaky breath and leaned into Dusky's side. It wasn't the same as with Satinpaw or even Nikkohydrangea but Bloody had never felt safer, "Just get me away from here. Please. I can't stand it, I feel like I'm suffocating."
Duskslayer closed his eyes taking in a breath before opening them, this time feeling whole and certain, "Okay."
He had walked with Bloodyrondo quietly for a while and led him to DayClan, "I know you don't like it, but they're the nicest people you'll meet and Glowstar's always been a mom to me first, she'll take care of us," Duskslayer promised and leaned into his friends head comfortingly as he walked him through the wheat fields. The scents and feel of the land was vastly different from DayClan. For many SunClan cats DayClan was nothing more than a white tree on a hill or a farm in the distance. But up close the land was colorful with wild flowers peaking out like rainbows misting in and out of clouds. The wheat was tough, but felt pleasant to walk through like a scratch reaching all the right itches. But the scents were actually pleasant. They didn't smell foul like most outsiders, it was a mixture of bluebells, apple blossoms, and lilacs. There were a rare few cats out and about, but none of them even approached or gave them much of a glance, it was the impact of having a neutral land.
They reached camp it was a small valley with ruins shaping a U shaped entrance. Inside were three waterfalls with tiny ponds, a few trees, one of which a gorgeous wisteria and a few large ruin stones that all kits must dream to grow up to play on.
"Are you ready to walk in?" Duskslayer asked as he licked at his friends face to help clean him up.
As downtrodden as Bloodyrondo was, the change in scenery had a visible effect on him, as he was much more alert and present than he had been when still in SunClan. He had never been so deep inside other Clan territory before. Of course, he was more familiar with DayClan than any other Clan. He had spent many moons in his youth training with Azura alongside this border. Even then, though, the SunClan always loomed well within his line of sight. Now there was not even a hint of sandstone and the air was different somehow... not just because it was more fragrant, though, it seemed as if it was almost a different color. Worse yet was that sinking feeling in his gut like he was betraying SunClan by being here. He had not told anywhere where he was going. If Littlestar wanted to, she could have him marked for death for deserting. Odd as that thought was it he did not hang onto it for very long. Everything about this night felt unreal, like a nightmare, all he had to do was wake up. He rubbed his paw over where Duskslayer had licked him to fully remove the ruined painted sun.
"I'm sure some cats will recognize me, but please do not call me Bloodyrondo while I am here..." He said as he rubbed off more paint on his shoulders. It was all smeared from the night's prior events so it wasn't like he was ruining the piece of art that it had been at the beginning of the mate choosing ceremony, "You can use my rogue name. Vampmyers."
A lesser known fact - actually, he guarded it like a secret, even though it really wasn't one - was that Bloodyrondo was not born in SunClan. He joined when he was nearly the age of an apprentice and had lived his youth as a rogue. To this day the Priest Promised claims that he has no memory of his life before SunClan but that would be a lie. He remembers what it felt like to not having a safe place to sleep at night, being unsure when when next meal was, always facing the danger of the unknown. A lot of those same feelings were being channeled right now so Vampmyers felt it was only fitting to go use that old name once more. DayClan territory had a beauty to it that was unique but also intimidating. The dizzying array of flowers - spewed all around with no sense of color coordination or even general organization - was an indication that this place was out of control.
"I'm ready now." Bloodyrondo said finally, his quick groom over. There was still paint on his legs and torso but the most elaborate sun and heart shapes were wiped away. His eyes were a little less bloodshot but his nose was now running slightly, although it was hard to say if that was allergies due to new scents or aftershocks from his earlier breakdown. At least his fur was still shiny and on point thanks to the coconut oil.
(I'm not like 100% happy with this but I really need to go to work. I wish I had another twenty minutes to make it better lol.)
Duskslayer was dubious that any cat wouldn't recognize Bloodyrondo, after all the people who did know the priest promised were the most loudest and chattiest cats of DayClan, "Alright then."
The moment Duskslayer's paw stepped foot into DayClan's camp the colorful world of DayClan turned into a shadow black and green outlined the world in Glowstar's vision. Suddenly vibrations were as visible as rain spreading to her senses as the scent of her son came to her like blood in the water.
A rosy auburn head shot up from the wisteria tree and even from far away Bloodyrondo could see the glittery teary eyed expression of Glowstar's emerald gaze as she caught sight of her son. In nearly cartoon fashion Glowstar was over at their side in moments with only a trail of dust in her path, "DUSKYYYY!" Glowstar purred as she nuzzled him and then gasped at Bloodyrondo, "Aw Dusky, you brought a friend over!" She cooed pinching Bloodyrondo's cheek with adoration, "You are such a handsome tom today. Come in, make yourselves at home, you boys can sleepover on the wisteria throne or find a spot for yourselves in the warriors den. Oh! Are you trouble makers hungry? I'm going to go fix you up something, but you all can make yourselves comfortable. Are you all alright with rabbit?"
Duskslayer had a bashful look across his entire face, "Yeah, rabbits okay with me at least," He said with light amusement, but hung closer to Bloodyrondo as usual. He knew that Bloodyrondo didn't really have a mom growing up and wondered if his friend was judging the situation as weird.
Oh yeah, Bloody was definitely judging. He and Glowstar were not exactly friends, although clearly not due to lack of effort from the DayClan leader's side. Her style of leadership was just so wildly different from SunClan's that it infuriated Bloodyrondo to no end. Like, it what world do two non-Clan members just walk into the middle of camp like this without even being stopped once by a patrol? Glowstar was among the Sun God's chosen but for the life of him the Priest Promised could not figure out why. She and Littlestar could not be any more different if they tried.
Bloodyrondo's usual fire was burned out for the evening, though. He couldn't muster an insult and in fact only half met Glowstar's gaze. He was't usually a self conscious cat but tonight he sure was and it made him hold himself back. That's why when Glowstar called him handsome he blushed, totally caught off guard by the compliment, if roles were reversed he would have undoubtedly scorned her. It actually warmed him up a little bit. Was this what it was like to have a parent? Bloody himself had an absent father and a mother that, while there, may as well have not been. The closest cat he had to a mom these days was Littlestar and at this point he wasn't sure if their relationship would ever recover.
The ginger tom was trapped in his own head for a few moments before he blinked and realized both Duskslayer's and Glowstar's eyes were on him. He knew that they were not actually blood related but in that second boy did the two of them look alike. Both cats eyes shined, reflecting the pink and purple sunset that was at Bloodyrondo's back, as they showed him patience and accommodation. Neither of them had asked why he was so upset, hadn't care for the details, just offered support. It was kind of nice.
"I'm not hungry." He said abruptly even though his stomach had growled at least two times since their arrival. He began to shut himself down again, his tail lowering back to the ground, eyes unfocused and looking at nothing. All of those raw emotions he had felt when he first approached Dusky came running straight back into his heart.
"I think we're both just tired mom, we'll take the wisteria throne," Duskslayer said as he guided his friend over the large wisteria tree as Glowstar watched with concern as they left. Although it was out in the open of camp, it still felt like a private area. The long thick wisteria branches create a large veil over them so no one could see in or out. Here they were just in their own purple bubble that felt secured. At the bottom of the wisteria tree were massive pieces of bark and branches create a throne like structure with more layers of moss, lamb ear, and swan feathers than any cat had ever seen before. Duskslayer nuzzled Bloodyrondo comfortingly before leaping up onto the wisteria throne and crossing one arm over the other as he lied down watching his friend. He remembered how happy Bloodyrondo had been hours ago and the time they spent together getting him ready. Now he could see the time spent and the love put into his paint was fading away and with it Bloodyrondo. He could guess it had to do with Satinpaw, but didn't want to assume either.
"Vampmyer," He said slowly still unfamiliar with the name, but he definitely was going to call Bloodyrondo by it since everyone else went along with his weird character. I want you to know that I have a deep desire to protect and serve you, it's etched deep inside of me. Whatever trouble happens now or later all you have to do is ask for my help. But if I feel you're be insincere in what troubles you I will seek it out and it will be worse for the person that bothered you.
He looked at his friends tired face and gave him a few licks over the shoulder, "I have your back so just sleep easy, you can move in close to me so we can both be warm," Duskslayer said as he rested his head down and closed his eyes.
"Vampmyers." Bloodyrondo corrected as he climbed onto the throne next to Duskslayer. He hadn't totally lost his spunk although a part of him knew that the whole name thing was stupid. Something just didn't feel right about going by his SunClan name while in DayClan, it probably had to do with the fact that Glowstar had different names depending on where she was, too. At first he put some distance between the two of them as he circled his chosen spot in a dog-like fashion but, when he finally did lay down, his back rested against the other tom's, letting out a ghost of a sigh when he was finally settled. It wasn't that he needed the warmth or even thought it was more comfortable than sleeping alone; It just put his mind at easy to be touching his friend and present guardian. There were very few cats that Bloodyrondo trusted more than Duskyslayer. Being close to him made him feel physically secure in this foreign place.
Nothing was said for a few minutes. Duskslayer probably would have assumed Bloodyrondo was asleep at this point but he was actually deep in thought. He was not quite ready to talk about the details, but he knew that he owed Duskslayer at least half an explanation after all his friend had done for him. A few more seconds ticked by as he chose his words carefully, then he cleared his throat, "The mate choosing ceremony went great. I even managed to do that secret move I was telling you about, a flip... Satinpaw was beautiful and agreed to be my mate." Wait, hadn't he just decided to keep the details to himself? Now that he was speaking it was almost like a dam had been broken and he wasn't strong enough to force the rushing waters back into line. He could feel the beginning of tears peek out of the corner of his eyes and choked back what just might have been a sob, "... but Littlestar came and ripped us apart, forbid us from even seeing each other, let alone being mates. I know that Satinpaw is young but... when you find the love of your life no distance or rule is really going to keep you apart, not really. I would do anything for her and would never put her in harm's way," Another shaky pause, now he was definitely crying, although Dusky wouldn't be able to see it, "I don't think her reaction would have been any worse had I ripped out Satinpaw's throat in front of her. It's just not fair. I was so excited to be her son-in-law, you know, since I... well..." He quit talking abruptly and pulled himself into a tight knot. Bloodyrondo wasn't going to finish that thought because it would be confessing his biggest insecurity, one that he rarely even admitted to himself, "You know what, never mind..."
Duskslayer opened his eyes, at first he didn't move as Bloodyrondo spoke. He stood still as though the slightest move he made might break him out of his trance. But as Bloodyrondo spoke more he turned to look at him and could see the misery and heartache, but more than that he could see the loneliness in his eyes. Duskslayer sat up, but as he did Bloodyrondo wasn't able to finish his sentence and could feel the nights silence taking the somber moment further away the longer it stretched.
All at once Bloodyrondo could feel Duskslayer lean his chin over his shoulder in a secure strong embrace, his dark brown fur consuming his red pelt as he curled up around him, "You do have a family, you're my brother more than any of my brothers. You're my home," He said with tears, "You are and always have known your self worth, how to stand your ground, and when to not think and to just act on instinct. Don't let Littlestar make you lose sight of who you are. You are prideful, you are stubborn, you are ignorant, but every one of those traits gives you every positive trait you have. I can feel your doubt, but I promise you, you are the same great cat you were yesterday and the moons before that. And nothing and no one can ever burn out that light inside of you. If you're willing to give everything you've got, you have what it takes to be Satinpaw's mate and so much more, I believe in you. You're not Vampmyers even if you don't see that right now, you're Everlastingfire and don't you forget it."
Duskslayer leaned forward comfortingly touching Bloodyrondo's nose keeping him in his embrace for as long as he needed.
Bloodyrondo buried his head into Duskslayer's fur and started crying for real this time, the kind of sobbing that was uncontrollable, ugly, loud. It wasn't just the stress of the Mate Choosing Ceremony that was getting to him, no, it was the pressure of picking a fight with MoonClan, losing the DayClan alliance, all of his failures and shortcomings, negative emotions and self-doubt from his mishandlings and poor decisions. Those feelings were released like a tidal wave and it was all Bloodyrondo could do to cling to Duskslayer's pelt or else be washed away. He alone had been giving himself his own encouragement and something snapped within him to hear it from another person. Someone that loved him, recognized him for what he was worth, even considered him family... A brother. Bloodyrondo had only ever really known a brother to be Moonlitnocturne, an absolute pest and scourge, his blood and his blood enemy. Duskslayer his brother, his home. The thought was the first glimmer of true peace he had felt in hours.
It was twenty or so minutes before Bloodyrondo's breathing began to even out and deepen; before long he was asleep, his tears drying on his face, his head laying across Duskslayer's head like a cushion. Without his tell-tale cocky smirk he looked much closer to his true young age, not quite two years old. Had he not been promoted so young he would have only been a Warrior for a few moons. It was a lot of pressure for a cat whose only war had been NovaClan, who had never really even seen a cat die, much less inflict a killing blow. He liked to pretend to be big and bad but when push came to shove he faltered. Luckily he had Duskslayer to pull him back up, make him feeling something close to whole again, even though nothing was really resolved... yet.
Duskslayer held Bloodyrondo close in his arms, his paw running down his back soothingly and at some point relaxed him enough where he had fallen asleep wrapped up tightly against him. Duskslayer could have easily fallen asleep after him, but found himself drinking in this moment of the two of them under the veil of the wisteria tree. Soon enough he was going to move out to Renegade Regime to be there for his family. He wanted to take in every detail about this moment, remember why he needed to come back to his home.
When he woke up the next morning Bloodyrondo's head was resting on his, which meant by rule he couldn't get up so instead he made himself comfortable and rested his eyes once more. That was until Glowstar lifted the wisteria veil as a few cats quietly came in.
What are you doing? Duskslayer mouthed to Glowstar watching as cats lied down pieces of prey at the thrones feet.
"He's hungry," Glowstar whispered back at him as the cats retreated out of the wisteria tree. Duskslayer watched motionlessly as to not wake up Bloodyrondo, but Glowstar quietly tip toed up to them despite Duskslayer mouthing to her, don't you dare.
Glowstar gently rocked both boys shoulders, "Hey, it's morning you two," Glowstar whispered, her voice was as sweet and soft as flower petals, "I made you each some cinnamon apple stuffed mice," She enticed in a small sing song voice.
Laid out on a large leaf were six freshly killed mice, the blood drizzled over them like chocolate. The apples were roasted under the sun and expertly diced and baked in cinnamon into the mouses flesh, but the cherry on top was that the fur was already stripped off for them like a mom who peeled the crust off of sandwiches.
Bloodyrondo's eyes groggily blinked open when Glowstar rocked his shoulders. In the early morning daze he had expected to see Littlestar - after all, she had woken him like this numerous times thanks to his penchant for sleeping in - and tensed when he saw a face he did not immediately recognize. Then he realized that he was all cuddled up around Duskslayer, which was kind of weird, so he pushed his friend away and sort of glared at the entire situation, his heart racing. A few tense seconds passed by as his head caught up with the waking world and then his fur fell flat, his muscles relaxed, his scowl became slightly less of a, well, scowl.
Oh, that's right, he was in DayClan.
Bloodyrondo's nose twitched as he picked up the scent of mouse and... more? His celadon eyes viewed the prey before him half dubiously but he would be lying to himself if he didn't admit that his mouth was watering. The ginger tom tried to say something but his voice was hoarse and unintelligible and his ears flicked back, embarrassed for his lack of coherence in front of an audience. He cleared his throat and tried again, "What in the world... cinnamon apple stuffed mice? Who comes up with this?"
Still, he hardly hesitated to snatch one up. It was difficult to believe that the ginger tom had any time to taste it with how quickly he scarfed it down. He was already reaching for the second mouse when he was reminded that there were multiple sets of eyes on him. This was strange but... nice. The whole expertly prepared breakfast-in-bed being hand delivered to your while sitting on a throne. It certainly made him feel better. But he was a guest and the little manners that Littlestar had managed to teach him won through in the end, "These are delicious, thank you, Str- Glowstar." Bloodyrondo corrected himself then turned to Duskslayer. Although the ginger tom wasn't truly smiling, his heart was definitely much lighter than it had been last night, "Have you had these before? If not, you've got to try one!"
"I did," Glowstar purred and gently stroked Duskslayer across the back, "I'm always trying to fill up my kitties tummies with yummy new things," Glowstar teased tickling Duskslayer with her tail before leaving him alone, "I'm glad you have taken a liking to them, I can make them for you anytime you want."
For the longest time Glowstar had come off intentionally fake to Bloodyrondo, dropping her elegant perfect princess persona in favor for her anarchist side. But in this moment she seemed the most genuine out of all the traits she had shown. There was no faking the way the very color in her eyes lightened and the way her gaze softened lovingly just from glancing at Duskslayer. The way her paw rubbed over her back reminiscing that of a queen gently petting their newborn kit. If there was any real side to her it was that Glowstar was a mom who carried a flow of unconditional love in her wake.
As Duskslayer ate Glowstar sat down looking at the two of them, "By the way, this morning Autumngossamer came into camp. I know SunClan is very reserved and we're having our differences, but if something is the matter I'm here," Glowstar promised. After all this was the priest promise and soothsayer both in DayClan around the same time periods, there was no way for Glowstar to feel any other way, but concerned.
Duskslayer exchanged a look with Bloodyrondo, "Did she say why?"
Autumngossamer's head poked in, "Ohhhh meh gosh, you two really are here!" The soothsayer exclaimed as she sashayed past the wisteria branches and into the enclosure of purple colors, "I was like, no way, what are the chances we both leave to the same place, but here we are! After I heard what happened with you, I basically made my mind up that I am definitely not giving birth in SunClan. So I'm back here, I don't know I guess SunClan just feels like survival, which I love. But I kind of just want to feel safe and at peace during birthing."
It was hard not to be jealous of the relationship Glowstar and Duskslayer had and, because of this, Bloodyrondo was getting a little angry. He wasn't sure what or who that anger was toward, though, so he chalked it up to a bad night's sleep and went back to filling his guts with this DayClan delicacy. Cinnamon apple stuffed mice. Like, what even was cinnamon? He was going to have to bring some of it back with him to SunClan for sure. He wasn't sure if it had healing properties but it seemed to help with a broken heart. He was only half listening to Glowstar as he tried to come up with different was to use this unique herb when he heard the mention of Autumngossamer.
"She what?" Bloodyrondo looked up at Glowstar with mouthful of mouse and a truly surprised expression on his face just as the subject of the conversation made her grand entrance. He quickly swallowed and sat up straight and wiped at his face a little bit. He was sure that he still looked like hell and for some reason was okay with DayClan seeing this side of him but not his future Soothsayer. He almost felt like he had been caught cheating. He thought her reasoning for coming had been sweet, and he very much agreed with her decision in the moment, but he had other concerns to be worked out first.
"Did you tell anyone where you were going?" Bloodyrondo could see a lot of rumors already spiraling in SunClan this morning about how Autumgossamer and Bloodyrondo eloped to foreign lands. Some cat surely was speculating that the kits weren't Lovesmitten's at all, or that one of them murdered the other and ran off, SunClan really was a rumor mill and what hotter topic was the disappearance of two of the highest ranking cats? He was most worried about Satinpaw and what she would think of all this and suddenly his paws itched to return home... except... he wouldn't be able to see her, tell her that it was all lies. He sighed and leaned his shoulder against Duskslayer's. What a mess.
"Duh, I didn't just run off, I have kits to think of. I let Littlestar know I felt uncomfortable with her handling my birth and I just wanted to go back to DayClan where everything feels safe. Plus I have Windchaser here as support and of course Lovesmitten and Amberkit. Scarletkit, Siennakit, and Gingerkit decided to stay back in SunClan though so they're holding down the fort. I didn't think I'd find you here though, I didn't even know you left," Autumngossamer shrugged.
"Yeah, you know how Bloody and I love a boys night out," Duskslayer said as an excuse, knowing that Bloodyrondo didn't want him calling him that, but if he hadn't there was no way Autumngossamer would understand who he was referring to.
"But guess what? Pandora and Bluejay are here. I was talking with Bluejay and she says that she's the new Goddess of DayClan, said Sun God stupidly gave her powers or some crazy thing and that she betrayed him. It's absolutely insane here sometimes, I sweeeeear," Autumngossamer scoffed.
Well, good, at least Littlestar had an explanation as to where one of the two of them were. As angry as he was at her, he did feel a little bad thinking of the High Priestess waking up to see her most direct support vacant after such a tumultuous night. Bloodyrondo wondered briefly how morning prayers must have gone with the two of them absent. He hadn't meant to stay in DayClan long enough to miss them but he found that at the moment he didn't care. He would be back soon enough... for now he aught to focus on what was around him.
Bloodyrondo had forgotten that Autumngossamer was originally a DayClan cat but upon realizing this her presence wasn't so strange after all. Her reasoning for being here, well, he couldn't fault her for that either, it was the very same reason he had come here as well, "I--" He began to answer the Soothsayer only to be beat to the punch by Duskslayer, which he was happy about, since he didn't really know what to say anyway. At the mention of Bluejay and Pandora, though, his ears perked up, "What do you mean... Goddesses?" He turned his celadon eyes to Glowstar with suspicion, "What in the world is going on in DayClan?"
"Okay, hear me out," Glowstar said sucking in a breath of air before brushing her paw across the earth, "One day there was-"
Glowstar bolted away from the three SunClan cats, she was notorious for hating to run, but she could definitely run and within a matter of seconds she was away from the throne, out of camp, and out of sight.
"That's normal right?" Autumngossamer asked looking between the two toms.
"I mean it's kind of weird, my mom is usually happy to describe chaos," Duskslayer said pacing the ground slightly in thought, "The only time I saw her dodge a subject was with..." Duskslayer's turquoise gaze sharpened with realization.
"Your wittle sister?" Weighing down on a wisteria branch was Bluejay, her jet black claw poking Duskslayer on the nose teasingly. She looked like a cat being eaten by shadows, her back legs pitch black with a dark grey consuming the rest of her. She had spiky white chest and neck fur that almost appeared hooded like a mane with a smokey grey face contrasting from the rest of herself and outlining in silver shadow lid eyes. There were shockingly white as lightning tabby markings that almost looked more like runes lighting up her dark pelt so much they almost appeared to glow. She was the Sun Gods darkest creation and unlike Pandora who was created as a warning to keep Glowstar and Foxstar in line, Bluejay was born as a gift to Glowstar from the Sun God.
Duskslayer snarled, a rare reaction from him as he stepped back, his tail flinging defensively in front of Bloodyrondo as he had done when they were corned by two-legs, "You have done enough damage corrupting Pandora, Bluejay."
Bloodyrondo's fur bristled at Bluejay's approach and his first reaction was to take a step behind Duskslayer: After all, the Priest Promised was still feeling very emotionally raw and was only just beginning to collect himself when Autumngossamer and then this she-cat so rudely interrupted. He didn't want to show weakness, though, so he acted like he was trying to move the remains of one of the mice he had eaten to explain away his reflex and then and stepped back front and center. He had a scowl on his face once more but at least he was starting to look more himself after the hellish night he had just had.
Bluejay certainly had an unsavory aura about her. The longer he was in her presence, though, the more a sense of raw power washed over him. It reminded him of the Sun God. Not as impactful, but in the same family. Duskslayer's next statement more the confirmed the assumption that this was one of the two so-called Goddesses. Bloodyrondo had met Pandora before - after all, her home Clan was SunClan - but this was his first time meeting Bluejay. And of course she was Duskslayer's sister. Of course. He'd have to ask his friend later who this she-cat's mother and father were, though, there were too many options to assume.
"Just what do you think you are doing, pretending to be a Goddess? You don't seem any more holy than me or Dusky. Sounds like a lot of hot air to me." Bloodyrondo's replied, but his fur wasn't bristling and he looked mostly calm. In fact, he even chuckled a little bit, "Bug off and quit interrupting my breakfast. The grownups are talking."
