Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
"There's no such thing as a cat being converted to StarClan. If you look to the stars and call upon us we will always come to serve our clanmates," Wispyfeather promised, "But I don't trust these new deities and guardians powers, I'm asking for healthy skepticism. The same skepticism that so many clan cats had about us, not every clan cat obeyed our wishes and not every warrior followed the warrior code perfectly. We allowed for cats to be cats and make mistakes and have even allowed non believers. But it is the non believers who choose deities who hurt other living cats that bothers me. A true StarClan cat has never asked for a living cat to be harmed. But these deities have no issue micro managing their clans every move and hold no guilt towards hurting those who do not believe in them," Wispyfeather said honestly.

It was a stab right to Graythorn's heart when he heard his apprentice's desire to 'visit' SunClan. He'd have to have a nice long talk to her about this when they get back to camp. But he was very pleased when Wispyfeather had made her appearance and stated all she said. After all the Moon Creek was established by StarClan themselves so they had the right to say who could come here. If it was her intent to bring the wayward clans back to StarClan, he sincerely hoped she would succeed. He eyed Bloodyrando and Littlestar carefully to see how they'd react.
"Listen to Wispyfeather," Graythorn said loud enough so all cats could hear. "She's right. The Moon Creek is for StarClan to meet with the clans. They're here to guide and advise us. They never demand worship, obedience, and servitude. If they did they would have never allowed the clans who turned their tails on them to leave in the first place. And she's right about these other deities. What cat in their right mind would want to be told what they had to do or not do all the time?"

"Who gave you the right to question the beliefs of my Chosen, or to say they do not belong here?" Power thrummed in the earth as the voice reverberated through the air, and suddenly, unearthly heat seemed to choke their lungs as the very air warmed to an uncomfortable level. Well, for everyone except Bloodyrondo and Littlestar, that is. The flaming tree seemed to burn ever brighter, and as the massive tom stepped out into the view of the medicine cats, fire swirled through his fur, embers rippling through the air as he made his way up to Whispyfeather. The Sun God easily dwarfed her, and every single cat present, living or dead. The deity took the form of an impossibly large Maine Coon cat, with ethereal white fur shaded in gold and molten amber eyes.
This was a strange event, because, for the first time, the Sun God had shown himself to outsiders of all clans and creeds. The League had seen him devour Wanheda not long ago, of course, but beyond that, only those belonging to SunClan in the past or present, had ever seen him, with very few exceptions. Now, no one could deny his existence.
Sunpaw scrambled back to her mentor, deciding that she should now stop talking. They were not suppose to fight. Wouldn’t this decision just separate the Clans more than they already were? She stared up at Graythorn as he spoke. Her vision began to cloud redeploys orange. Sunpaw shielded her eyes as the light brightened near the flaming tree, only peeking occasionally until she spotted the figure of a cat. Who was this? They were absolutely magical—pure gold, it seemed. Her vision flashes red as the cat spoke, something that had not happened before.
Oh for the love of - scratch that, he wasn't keen on swearing on any sort of god right now - but this whole thing was so stupid. The irritated ginger tabby purposely kept himself secluded as far from the other Medicine Cats, and one Leader and Deputy apparently, as he could. He wasn't even sure if any of the others had noticed his presence, sulking in the background by himself. Granted, if Firetooth couldn't recognize any of the faces around him, aside from Graythorn, then none of them probably recognized the former Earthclan Medicine Cat, and newly-ordained Medicine Cat of Swiftclan. Frankly, the only reason he was here at all was to make sure Starclan wasn't about to smite Chimerastar or his new clan for existing. His brow raised in mild surprise when the Starclan cat appeared before them, followed by a Dark Forest spirit, and what he assumed was the Sun jerk himself. "Oh no. I am so scared," he scoffed in a monotone voice, rolling his eyes. "Listen, can we do this another day? I'm just here to talk to Lightningswift...and ideally nobody else."
"I do hope your words do not apply to myself, Wispyfeather..." A deep, stern voice rustled through the wind, wrapping around the cats gathered like a flickering shadow. The Blind Protector didn't appear with any sort of fanfare, he simply stepped out of the darkness, a slim grey tabby tom, no different from any other, aside from his clear, water-blue eyes that lacked any sort of sight, even in death. Padding softly over to the other spirits, he politely dipped his head to everyone gathered, before taking a seat on the cold stones. "I am not a god, and have never claimed myself as such. My purpose is to Protect; to guide and watch over the home I created seasons upon seasons ago...and I will continue to do so until the last of my bloodline takes their final breath. You, who spent the last moons of your life under my care, and whose son still thrives among my family today, should know as such..."
Fawnheart was just about to respond when the deep voice rattled her bones. Turning, she had to squint at the bright, lapping flames. In the flames, she managed to make out the shape of a cat as if the cat were wearing fire. Scorching heat took the oxygen right out of the air as if she were caught in the middle of a wild fire. She struggled to breathe and even see but she knew this was about to get serious. Her amber eyes darted from Whispyfeather to the diety and back again. She slowly made her way over to Graythorn, unsure if a battle was about to begin between Starclan and the dieties. "This can get really bad really quickly" she whispered to the Summerclan medicine cat. "If all goes wrong, everyone needs to grab their own apprentice and get out."

Moonclan racerJadie "Yes, it's a lot livelier than I thought it would be." Even as Yuki-Oona smiled, her tone was like sandpaper on the ears at the term livelier. Still, she was glad someone talked to her. She was about to speak to Fawnheart when Whispyfeather spoke. "Much livelier." She muttered, unsure how to respond to Whispyfeather's words. The wind was so strong, though, that she was pushed back and she had to scramble to not bowl the others over. When she caught herself, she found herself next to the Sunclan leader and deputy. Heart jumping to her throat, it only got worse when the booming voice behind her made her turn. Course he showed up first, it made bile rise in the white she-cat's throat. Still, she couldn't give an answer to the starclan cat. Not now, not right in front of the Sun God and next to the leader of his clan. A shiver rolled up her spine when another figure passed by her.
? Honeystorm They're own was entirely different. One the same size as the living cats around, with a pelt as black as darkness itself. One eye red and the other yellow, they cocked their head towards the Sun God. Unable to help standing next to the Moonclan Medium, there was something about her that drew them to her. Potential, perhaps. "Dear, we get it. You can shrink down a little for the rest. Give em a chance."

Littlestar
SunClan High Priestess
The Peace Keeper
"Yet we serve the Sun God gladly with every fiber of our being. You forget that I was born and raised to believe in StarClan. My ancestors all held you in high regard, and yet here I stand telling you that the Sun God is who I choose to follow. While StarClan hides behind vague prophecies our God is involved in every aspect of our lives. All he asks of us, is to carry out his will, a small price to pay for his protection. The Sun God is and always be my GOD" Littlestar stood tall, her voice steady and certain even faced with the growing decent in the crowd.
As the last word left her lips, the Sun God appeared behind her and Bloodyrondo. His presence unmistakable. While others found it suffocating and almost unbrearably uncomfortable, it filled his chosen with vibrance and energy. The painted designs seemed to come to life, glimmering and shimmering even more closely resembling the flames that adorned their God. Littlestar and Bloodyrondo looked absolutely radiant, flames lighting up the darkness around them.
Littlestar lowered herself into a respectful bow, a smile spreading across her face to have him here with them. While he was always watching, her rarely showed himself to those outside their clan "You should consider this an honor" she added looking out over the other cats that had gathered
She slowly made her way over to Graythorn, unsure if a battle was about to begin between Starclan and the dieties. "This can get really bad really quickly" she whispered to the Summerclan medicine cat. "If all goes wrong, everyone needs to grab their own apprentice and get out."
Graythorn was pleased to see Fawnheart. Actually she was the only cat he was happy to see at this gathering. He stood protectively beside Sunpaw, hoping to shield her from these unusual events. "This is not what's supposed to happen at a half moon gathering," he meowed. "We're are to meet in peace with other medicine cats but not with those who don't share our faith. And I agree with you. We need to be ready to leave."
After Littlestar finished he commented to both Sunpaw and Fawnheart, "Did you catch what she said? 'We serve the Sun God gladly'. StarClan doesn't make us serve them like those gods do. They're here to help and guide us. We live our own lives according to the Warrior Code. We have freedom while these other cats are nothing more than indentured servants to those deities. And they call that living? They've been blinded by those gods." He hoped Sunpaw was not only hearing him with her ears but her heart as well.
"We literally all remember Littlestar, sorry, not trying to be rude, just saying that... Sometimes you force that topic into conversations a little too much," Yellowmoon said with mock nervousness when in reality she was trying not to smile with amusement.
Whispyfeather stared up at Sun God with scorching hot eyes matching his fire in her tone, "The mother forced to join your cult as a pregnant initiate. Stand there with your hell fire swirling around yourself with your flashy appearance because it's all you have. No one would hail you for your pompous pig hearted attitude alone. You're not a God, you're a coward who hides behind your followers, be careful now Sun God, there's no mothers around to coddle you if you start having a tantrum," Her words were thick and icy. Littlestar had the power to choose to believe in the Sun God, but her followers did not. DayClan did not have a choice when they were forced to bow or die to such a being and those born in the clan were intentionally forced to stay within their walls until they outgrew the age of curiosity. But any clan cat knew that from the way SunClan never brought apprentices to gatherings.
Whispyfeather's cruel gaze turned to the Blind Protector as though to say, don't even start with me, "You're excused from my judgment, Blind Protector. You are not a God, you are a protector, a guardian. You were the first leader of the Regime and when you died you continued to be a guide for your people. You earned your place as a protector of your clan. These Gods have never earned their place, they appeared and they conquered."
Yellowmoon was suddenly by Littlestar looking at her curiously and poked her, "Huh, you're sturdy," She said before sitting down next to her as though she were going to enjoy the show. For being a representative for the Dark Forest and meant to be, for once on StarClan's side in this matter the ragdoll she-cat wasn't putting a lot of opinion in.

The deity offered a smile to Sunpaw, decidedly ignoring Firetooth's comment before he turned to laugh at the mismatched eyed being that had arrived. "It's hardly more than a paw length or three taller than my normal form! But if it would make you more comfortable..." He walked towards the creature of darkness, until standing right before him, still much too large, but a slight bit smaller than he had been a moment prior. In a move that was probably rather strange to those around them, he dared to nuzzle Jackson, allowing the light to fade slightly so as not to cause the dark being discomfort while letting out a pleased purr. Ah, he couldn't get too carried away, could he? Perhaps he should focus. Even so, he merely turned, eyeing Graythorn a moment before focusing once again on Whispyfeather.
"You say StarClan hasn't forced you to serve them? Well, that would be a lie, wouldn't it? To leaders who haven't believed in them, they've sent droughts, famine, blizzards. They can be angry and vengeful to those who break their code, and now they try to force those out who, previously, they've had no issues with. Not to mention their abandonment of the clans. How many who believed in them have fallen? Been taken advantage of? They cling to the clans they have, when truly, they're just a bunch of the bitter dead who can't help but meddle in the lives of the living." He scoffed, his grin stretching into something all chaos and danger as the very ground beneath his paws burnt and blackened.
"How about this. Who among you does not know me? I bring you the dawn, I warm your pelts and bathe the herbs you so desperately need with my light. Even those who have not worshiped me, still you are blessed with the colors of the morning and the rays that chase away the cold of night. What, then, is the big step to worship? To trust in me and thank me for the life I bring. Who ever said that only the SunClan cats are allowed to believe? Or that their methods are the only way to serve? Does not Glowstar fall among my ranks? Have I not reclaimed the League skies? I have been here since before the Clans, and I will be here long after they've fallen to dust, and the ranks of StarClan forgotten." His voice carried on the air, rippling with a light jubilance as he motioned with a paw.
"My warmth is extended to all, all you have to do is simply reach out, and take the guidance I offer by rejecting this she-cat who can't even figure out who she's trying to insult. And even if you do not, I will continue to shine in the day, and you will thrive will all the light and comfort that the day brings. And that is a mere taste of what I can do, all you need do is ask my followers, Littlestar and Bloodyrondo." He laughed, and the wrath that burned within him seemed to fade into something more giddy and bright as his smile flashed with mischief. "You can deny me the title of god all you wish, Whispyfeather, but that does not change what I am, or what I can do. I can raise mortals up to the immortal, just look at Pandora and Bluejay, though they are admittedly not quite listening to my instructions right now. I can devour gods, harness their power, and I hold the skies of even those who do not believe in me. Go back to your stars and cry me a river, why don't you?"
Suddenly, SunClan didn’t sound like such a nice place. As the Sun God shrunk. Sunpaw stood a little straighter, feeling her heart slow. Orange now replaced the red. She was confused, and scared, and even a bit curious as to what was happening before her. “Graythorn,” she whispered, feeling her pelt bristle, “does . . . does StarClan really do that?” No matter how much she didn’t want too, she continued to listen. This certainly wasn’t her idea of her first Half Moon Gathering.
If she wished to draw attention to herself, she would have spoke up. She had not known the Sun God, had never really heard much about him at all. But, she stayed silent. Instead opting to shuffle behind Graythorn a bit more.
"I heard..." Fawnheart said, softly. "I think anyone should be allowed to follow who they want to. Your right, this shouldn't be happening at a half-moon gathering. It is meant for peace and connecting with whomever we choose to connect with and share our discoveries." The beautiful somali she-cat had always faithfully followed Starclan but now all of this was beginning to tear the clans apart. Further than what they already were. She didnt understand why this was such a big deal but she wasnt about to speak up right now. She didnt want to experience the wrath from any of the dieties. Her attention was grabbed by Sunpaw's question to Graythorn. She answered before Graythorn could. "Starclan has always been there for us. Even if they were angry with us, if we truly reached out to them and asked for help, they would be there for us. Starclan aren't perfect. They've made mistakes just like you and I but they always did what they felt was best for the clans."

SummerClan @spot @goldcrest
Graythorn stood his ground when the sun god eyed him. Not only was he grumpy, he was stubborn too. When he believed in something nothing could sway him.
"She's right," Graythorn said to Sunpaw, giving a nod to Fawnheart. "StarClan doesn't cause things to happen and on the other paw they can't prevent them either. But they have wisdom and insight they share with us when we need help in any given situation." He knew they had the ability to see into the future and sometimes send prophecies to clans to guide them through difficult times. He would discuss that with Sunpaw at a more convenient time than this.
He could sense unease coming off Sunpaw and wished they had stayed home. If he'd known this was going to happen, he would have. "Just stay close to us," he told her, indicating Fawnheart with his tail. "And you'll be alright. This is StarClan's grounds after all."
Late to the party, as always, the second god of WinterClan finally arrived. His fur seemed to glow with light, shining as the Aurora Borealis in the night sky. His eyes were gold in appearance and shinning with merith. Working his way down from the waterfall, he called out. "My, whatever have I missed?" God of Light and Life, that was his title. A name, well Borealis would work, or His Majesty more preferably. Spotting the tree with dying leaves, he took a seat in the largest branch that hung above the rest of eth crowd. "Looks like something interesting is going on here, care to tell me what?" His eyes searched the crowd from his high position, watching the mayhem below.
Amberpaw nearly jumped out of his fur when he spotted yet another deity joining the party. He began to shake with fear, praying to StarClan to stop this nonsense. Clearly, he was losing his mind. He was seeing things! He had to be! There was no such thing as gods or goddesses or deities. Only StarClan was to be worshiped.
The DayClan medicine cat was growing exasperated. He didn't mind if the other clans didn't worship StarClan; he could never turn against them himself, but that was different. Brakewings had been their chosen one, and his mentor from the stars was always at his side. But even if he didn't mind the other clans... the number of gods choking the mooncreek now was growing ridiculous. The russet tom stood up, his ears flicking back.
"This is a place of StarClan," he reminded them, turning to the other mortals, "so can't the rest of you find somewhere else to meet with your gods? There must be a space closer to SunClan," he suggested, glancing sideways at the newest arrival, "and... whatever clan he's from." He just wanted to share news with Yellowmoon, not deal with all this nonsense.
PRIMAL INSTINCT Blue was oh so very happy that she didn't have to deal with anything like this. She was one of the few cats here - if not the only cat here - who had no business with any of the StarClan spirits, the Gods or the Guardians. Well. Did she consider Jackson a Guardian? Certainly many of the League did, including Funk. She wouldn't trust him with her life though, not in a million years, not when he was leaning on the Sun God as if he didn't have his own four legs to stand on.
"This is ridiculous..." She murmured under her breath and closed her eyes. Focused on her breathing. The air was so, so heavy, it was almost suffocating. Even a cat like her could feel it. This lot of cats was worse behaved than her moon-and-a-half old kits.
SUNCLAN Not a single spirit or guardian or whatever could compare to the Sun God's illuminating visage. It filled Bloodyrondo with pride that emanated from him much like how fire emanated heat. A smug and righteous grin formed on his face, he puffed out his chest a little bit. He had never been more proud to be one of the Sun God's chosen. The ginger tom nodded along with Littlestar.
His eyes shone as the Sun God gave spoke next and he hung onto every word. That's right! StarClan may have knowledge but they do not have power. All they could do was huddle together while they watched the cats they were meant to help guide struggled. The Sun God, in contrast, was ever-present and there for not only all of SunClan but Bloodyrondo personally. Sure, there have been lows, like when Moonlitnocturne had become Janus, but they were always overshadowed by highs, like when he was chosen to be Priest Promised.
"Seriously, there are still those of you who doubt the Sun God when he stands here right before our very eyes? Can't you feel his power, his greatness, a warm embrace comparable to nothing else on this planet? Fools, all of you, absolute fools. The cats in StarClan can do nothing but sit in a circle and speak of their regrets in life. Those who follow the Sun keep their heads held high and look to the future." He turned his green eyes to Graythorn, "Moon Creek belongs to the Sun God as much as it belongs to your silly spirits, if not more so." He flicked his tail toward the burning tree at his back for added emphasis.
(I'll admit I skimmed; sorry if I missed something!)
Another one, Sunpaw gaped, taking in the new arrival. Just how many were there, exactly? She shook her head to rid herself of any thoughts, standing up straighter. She was a pacifist at heart, sure, but she was still rather outspoken. "There is no need to fight," she said, voice quiet at first but gradually raising as she continued. "Why can't we just share?" She asked, stepping out from behind Graythorn. These cats wouldn't hurt her, would they? There was no need to be afraid. Sunpaw glared at Bloodyrondo, a bit grayer by his rudeness. They may have differing opinions, but he did not need to be disrespectful. "I don't think claiming the Moon Creek just for StarClan is such a good idea," she said, her voice going quiet again. She, herself, she did not mean to be disrespectful. She had never once spoken out against her ancestors--what made her think it was alright to do it to their face?
Whispyfeather held her glare onto the Sun God, but was pleased when the medicine cats surrounding her were not easily swayed by the Sun God's words. They still had faith in their ancestors, but those who had turned their backs on StarClan were not budging from their beliefs and if anything their passion flared stronger in their Gods presence. Whispyfeather bit her bottom lip, the non believers were all so misled, how could any one of them want to hail a God? When cats worshiped StarClan their leader still led that and it was the leaders choice to allow StarClan to guide their paws or not. But with a God a leader was only half a leader and more of a follower.
Whispyfeather went to open her mouth again, but this time a bright light formed at the center of Moon Creek. Brilliant starlight erupted as a blazing scarlet calico stepped forward, Blakelystar, leader of Toxicity, medicine cat of WaterClan, and guider and healer of Renegade Regime. A paw in many walks of life, but more than that, she was the first leader to follow a God in clan history. While most StarClan cats looked youthful, Blakelystar appeared older, her green yellow mismatched eyes and kinked tail were unmistakable.
Blakelystar's kinked tail swayed as the mist that was pushing the nonbelievers back returned to the creek.
"You cannot change a cats mind in one day," For a moment it sounded like Blakelystar was talking to the Sun and Light God, but her gaze was to one in particular, she was talking to everyone, "I am a leader and I am a medicine cat and I am very very old. You are held together by the stars no matter what you believe in and when the floods were coming all the Gods in all the land, heaven come and kingdom come came together so that we all may live. This creek has been used for medicine cats to gather, exchange news and information, and share glimpses into StarClan. There is peace at this creek. What it is not used for is advertising your religion, shaming others beliefs, and dividing our medicine cat allegiance a part. We all have things we can learn from one another and there is a place for all religions," Blakelystar's gaze was relaxed, graceful, she didn't come with rage, but with the best wisdom she could offer to the situation.
"Perhaps Moon Creek can carry on being a gathering ground for all medicine cats of all beliefs, but when a non believer in StarClan kneels down by the creek we can change the current to find their God or guardian. We are all NovaClan," Blakelystar reminded them. At least in the warrior code that meant something, that all eleven clans had a place, even if not all clans followed such code or had a code.
