Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Levee and his group had finally made it. Arriving just before sunset, the whole clan was asleep when they arrived so they had met no patrol on their way in. He could barely contain his excitement as he glanced around the empty camp, though soft snoring could be heard in the nearby dens letting him know that the camp was not as vacant as it appeared to be.
“Fear not children of Selene, I have finally reached you.” he called loudly from his spot in the clearing. “Come forth and hear your goddess’ will!”
Visi sat to the left of Levee, simply looking around the camp. It looked far more permanent than anything he had seen before. Perhaps it was slightly unwise to walk into an occupied camp, these cats surely would have an advantage if they chose to attack. The mostly black tom prayed that the words of the Goddess would be heard by these cats and no blood would be shed.
Nightpaw peered out of the apprentices den. He was absolutely terrified, he knew nothing to protect himself or others and there were intruders in the camp. The fact the leader seemed to speak of Selene did nothing to comfort him. So he decided to hide in hopes someone else would act and give him a sense of direction. His claws dug into his bedding as he stood nearly frozen.
Constantine hovered near the back of Leviathan's group. He stood with perfect posture, his tail erect, eyes alert, perhaps a little wary but not fearful. He had faith in the Moon Goddess just like the rest if the rogue group with which he had arrived. He just did not care for a dramatic entrance. Didn't like too many eyes on him. He was a private and guarded cat by nature and would much rather have someone else do the talking for him. Good thing Leviathan was so articulate. His odd-eyes settled on Nightpaw whose aura read fearful, then directed them to a torbie she-cat who was approaching. Hers was red-hot with rage but loneliness hovered over her like a cloud. He frowned. This was more along the lines of what he had expected to see: He sure hoped Leviathan was ready for it. --- Cypressblaze was one of the first Warriors to show her face. She looked like she hadn't slept in days because she hadn't. Her brother, Oakstorm, had gone missing at the SunClan border. Maplestar seemed unusually distant, perhaps because of their sibling's disappeared, but Cypressblaze had suspicions that maybe her sister knew something she didn't know. Doubt, distrust and loneliness plague her like the fox plagues the rabbit. She bristled when her eyes settled on the group of rogues and she stepped up with claws unsheathed, ready to defend herself, but also curious of their message, "What do you know about our Goddess, rogue? Only those of MoonClan blood may receive her divine blessings."
"That is where you're wrong little miss." Leviathan addressed the angry she-cat calmly, though he couldn't help the grin that graced his lips. He wasn't trying to be snarky but, sometimes his expressions didn't always match his correct emotions. "The Moon Goddess accepts all those who open their hearts to her." He explained trying to sound less smug this time. "She has sent me to you in order to restore her beloved clan to greatness." He spoke louder this time so those gathered around could hear him without difficulty.
MOONCLAN Cypressblaze did not respond right away and glanced around camp, waiting for her sister to appear... but she didn't. Maplestar had drug her feet when it came to selecting a deputy, too, so the closet thing to leadership present was... wait... herself?! That thought made her skin crawl in pure anxiety. The torbie she-cat was wise and would make a great leader if only she had more confidence. She could force it, or so she thought, so she straightened out her pose to be a little more authoritative, "If that is true, Selene would have sent a sign. I won't believe a word from your mouth unless you can prove that the Moon Goddess has given you her b-blessing." She had been doing so well and had to stutter on that last word. Her hackles raised a bit in embarrassment but she still held her ground with fire in her eyes.
Hollowpaw had caught wind of the rogues while on patrol and entered camp through a mostly unknown back entrance. The Siamese tom had stuck to the shadows as Cypressblaze confronted the rogues about as bravely as he would have expected of her. He could see the she-cat's tail-tip twitching at a speed comparable to a humming bird's wing beats. She was freaking out. Sighing, he decided to give up his hiding place and fall into step next to her, just to offer her support. It was a pain but didn't bother him. He didn't say anything but let his pelt brush hers. --- ROGUE This was about how Constantine had expected this to go, but he was surprised by the lack of cats. He could tell that no one here had that golden spark in their aura that marked all cats of leadership and seriously doubted that the she-cat speaking even had a rank. Her emotions were much to twisty and curvy, highs and lows, it was hard to make sense of anything coming from her other than unease.
"Where is your leader?" As much as Conny didn't want to steal Leviathan's show, he figured he could help speed it along, and the expression on the she-cat's face revealed his hunch was correct. There wasn't one... at least not one that was present.
Twig shifted restlessly on his paws in the middle of Leviathan's group. He wasn't nervous - nor did he feel the tension in the air. Being the youth that he was, he was still quite oblivious to all that was actually going on. He was moving because he was excited. He had been waiting patiently for the day that they were to arrive in MoonClan. What he was looking at now was home. He peeked around Leviathan's followers toward the cats that looked his age. He'd join them soon. When he heard Constantine ask for the leader, Twig reminded himself of where he was, and he moved back to his place to stand tall and proud in his support for Leviathan, though more in his support of Selene.
MOONCLAN Wisp was just re-entering camp when the strange voice of an outsider reached her ears, proclaiming he had arrived with Selene's blessing. Her eyes widened, and though they were somewhat bloodshot from lack of sleep, their clear depths betrayed her worry and anger. Slipping silently through the brambles around camp, she pressed herself low to the ground, trying to understand what was happening. It looked like Cypressblaze and maybe an apprentice or two had come out of their dens in response. The two were sorely outnumbered by the rogues present though, and Wisp couldn't hide her growl this time. Though MoonClan might still see her as outsider, she knew these rogues to be outside of Selene's grace and, without another thought, she leaped down into camp, landing silently next to Cypressblaze.
Her moon-dappled pelt rippled with lithe muscles, and her silvery claws dug into the earth as she tried to keep her anger reigned in. "Who do you think you are, claiming our clan is no longer great? No longer the beloved of Selene? You would do well to leave now, while you and your crow-food followers still have their tails attached." Her tail whipped behind her like lightening, betraying the sheer fury she felt at his easy-going usurping.
"I never said Selene's clan was no longer great, it's just not as great as it should be" he replied calmly. He couldn't blame these cats for being hostile with him, in fact he only admired their loyalty and courage to stand up to him in protection of their leader and clan. "As I said before, I mean you no ill will. I am simply doing what I was sent here to do."
MoonClan
Maplestar had been more or less dead asleep in her den, aside from the yowling going on outside nothing would have been able to wake her short of an earthquake. At first she couldn’t register what was going on but, once her brain had processed what the yowling was about she sprang from her nest hurrying outside without looking as if she was running. She stepped past her clan-mates, as the small she cat faced the rogue tom just as calmly as he addressed her clan. She signaled with her tail for her cats to take a step back.
"Right here." she said addressing the tom with the different colored eyes, before turning her golden glare on Leviathan. "You say Selene sent you." she spoke curtly. "Why would the goddess send an outsider to her clan?"
Rogue
Leviathan was mildly caught off guard when such a young cat stepped forward claiming to be there leader. He blinked swiftly quickly dismissing the surprised look on his face as if it were never there. Suddenly it made so much sense to him, as to why Selene had sent him here. "There are others who worship her as you do, you are not alone in your faith, just because I was born outside this clan does not mean that Selene's blessing does not apply to me as well." He flicked his amber gaze to Wisp briefly before turning his attention back to Maplestar.
"Why she sent me I do not know for sure. I only know that she intends for me to lead this clan."
MOONCLAN "You can't be serious... You have no right to just waltz into our camp and ask for the most sacred - and important - position in MoonClan." Cypressblaze growled, emboldened by her sister's arrival. She did well when she when she was working directly under another cat. It took away some personal responsibility and, with it, the worst of her nerves, "I've never heard something so, so... ludicrous! Maplestar, just give the order, and your Warriors will chase these rogues back to wherever they came from."
ROGUE Constantine silently observed the exchange. He was proud with the way Leviathan was presenting himself. He hadn't had any doubt, of course, but even he wasn't so sure that he'd be able to keep his cool with so tensions flaring. Constantine usually considered himself the more cool and lever-headed cat of the pair but moments like these made him second guess himself.
Silvershine heard the yowling which instantly woke her from her deep sleep. She leaped to her paws, her vision still blurry from sleep. What was going in? She emerged out of the den, the bright light hurting her eyes. It wasnt time for Moonclan to be out yet. Once her eyes adjusted, she made out the figures of unknown cats and an unfamiliar scent reached her senses. Instantly, her fur bristled and her claws extended. She was just about to attack when Maplestar arrived to the scene and signaled for them to stand down. While she obeyed her leader's request, she still remained on edge just in case they tried to pull a fast one.
Mudpaw heard the yowl and immediately felt the apprentices around him shift in their nests before all rushing to the den enterance. His own curiosity spiked. Rising to his paws, he attempted to view the outside through the many heads of the apprentices crowding the den enterance. "Hey! Move! I cant see!" He fussed, trying to push himself through. After many protests from his fellow apprentices from his pushing, he finally tumbled out of the den. He leaped back to his paws and stared at the intruders. They didnt seem like they were trying to attack or showing any aggression but all of Moonclan was on edge, including his own mother. Why? If they mean no harm, why would Moonclan still be on guard? He watched curiously as Maplestar confronted them.
