Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
[Invited Only] Autumngossamer had arranged the Blind Dates and gave no information on who anyone was meeting except simply the location, time, and activity. In this particular date the activity was carving boats out of wood chips and racing them along the river. Set up for the pair was a pile of wood chips, twigs, and leaves for sails.
Nikkohydrangea was first to arrive and sat by the pile of wood chips and decided to wait around ten seconds and then give up and leave. But then the idea of actually doing this activity and making wood chip boats fascinated him enough to stay. In fact enough to just get started. Soon enough the blue grey tom was lying on his belly, chipping away at the wood chips. His first model failed, sunk right off the bat, second model was better, but not fast. He found that a flat wood chip also did the job, but was also realizing he was getting way into this activity that technically hadn't even started since the other person had yet to show up. It was a good thing Autumngossamer left the giant pile of wood chips so he wouldn't use them all up.

A gray tom slipped out from the shadows, simply watching the other cat at first. It had been rather fasinating, watching as he failed. Not because he had failed, but because the way he had constructed to wooden boat was rather interesting. "A good idea" he purred, moving in close, and grabbing a few wood chips for himself "Perhaps we make it a competition" a mischevious glimmer crossed his eyes
“Don’t humiliate yourself on our first date, I’ll beat you into the dust,” Nikkohydrangea responded competitively before trying to scrape his mind for something romantic to follow that up with, “I mean, you look cute.” He said, but apparently that must have been sufficient because he followed it up with, “Anyways, I just created my fourth model and I know this one will be superior. If you can beat this model, I’ll go on a second date, regardless of what happens on this one.”
That was inferring that he even liked him and didn’t immediately punch a hole in bis boat upon hearing that little deal.

Shadowbard chuckled "Well then, I suppose I will just have to beat you then" he winked before turning to the wood chip pile and starting to make his own model. What he didn't say was this wasn't the first time he had done this task "Make sure your honor your word"
"Honor my word, I didn't even have any honor to wake up in the morning and put on more than a spot of yellow paint," Nikkohydrangea said, but followed it up with, "I'll honor my word this time though because that seems like an actual fun challenge."
Nikkohydrangea carried his boat over to the shore and sat down waiting for Shadowbard, "So what did you enter this blind date hoping you would find?"
