It had been a while since Foxstar and Condorstrike had spent any measure of time alone. Between everything with Wormwood and now the DayClan and SpringClan takeover, the Priestess had been busy. Now was the time to strengthen the bond they shared, as they had hardly been given time for more than a few affectionate interactions and greetings as they went about their days. The fox-heart didn't even really sleep in the same nest as her mate... not at the same time anyway. She was up late into the night, and even when she did join him, she was up long before he, not even allowing them the comfort of waking up together.
For today, at least, she'd instructed Littlebird to handle things unless anything of absolute important came up. And she'd most certain mentioned to not let anything important come up.
So, once everyone had eaten after prayer, the auburn feline padded up to her mate, an inviting smile on her face. Hopefully he wasn't too upset about recent events... "Good morning, Condorstrike." She purred, weaving herself around him ever so slightly. "As it so happens, I've finally managed to get a day off, and I was thinking we should spend it together while we can. Does that sound alright?"

He thought Inferiorpaw's return would fix everything. He hadn't been the best mate while he was obsessed with her return; he'd been worried sick to the point he had started to go grey, he'd lost weight, and he had done everything in the little power he had to find her. Then she'd come back, but it wasn't the same, and she hadn't been the solution to all their problems after all. But he was trying. He was looking healthier and finding ways to help the clan, and was becoming more devoted to the Sun God with each passing day. He'd visited his brother not too long, and that disaster had only solidified his resolve he'd made the right choice in coming here. He just had to make it up to his mate.
Condorstrike swiped his tongue over his jaws as he finished eating and sat back, cleaning his muzzle before moving on to his paws. His mate's approached caught him by surprise and he nearly choked on his own fur before he recovered and dropped his paw back to the ground. "Good morning, Foxstar!" he beamed, eager as a kit as he leaned into her touch and nosed her cheek affectionately. "I'm so glad you're free, I've missed you. It's been so long since we had time to ourselves," he purred.

"Too long." Foxstar agreed with a small smile. "What do you say we leave the rest of the clan to their own devices and have some fun all to ourselves?" Nowadays, what they considered fun may have vastly changed. After all, the Priestess was far more open with her tendency to cause trouble, and Condorstrike? Honestly, she didn't know. Between his obsession with their daughter, and her own tendency to slip off and do who knows what, Foxstar wasn't all too certain as to what he liked to do nowadays. He was well integrated into the clan, which meant mischief wasn't necessarily off the table, but still, she didn't know how far his wild streak went. It wasn't something she'd ever considered before now.
Oh well, they'd figure out what worked for them soon enough, she supposed. After all, wasn't that the point of this entire thing?
