Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. (I figured I would make a bonding thread for them, but no pressure to respond if ya don't wanna lol)
Kits were strange little creatures. Usually, Calamitystar would just acknowledge them from afar and hope they didn't get eaten. This group, however, somehow wiggled their way into his heart quicker than he could have imagined. They were scrappy balls of fur when he found them and already he could see they were filling out and getting stronger. It made him equally proud and worried. What if they have a bad growing-up because of him? What if they developed bad memories that turned them into kitten-strangling crazies? His eyes widened at the thought. Cal refused to be their 'father.' That word alone made him grimace. No, fathers were complicated, never-consistent, and a royal pain in the haunches. Instead he wanted to be known as their 'big brother.' Yeah, that had a nice, pleasant ring to it, right? The ebony leader frowned slightly as he rose from his nest. He had to figure out just who these kits were. Their strengths, their weaknesses. That was what guardians were supposed to do, right? It sounded philosophical enough, so sure. He gave a long stretch before padding out of his den over to the Nursery. "Uh, HEY KITS." Oh, oops. That greeting was a little too loud... He gave the glaring queens a sheepish grin before tiptoeing over to his little bunch of yelpers. "I...er, was thinking we could go explore some today? Does that sound like..uh...fun?" He meowed awkwardly, scratching his ear at the same time with a nervous paw.

Wildkit was determined to live up to his name it seemed. At any given point he could be found racing around the nursery and finding someway to get into trouble. The small tom kit was full of energy, to the point that even when made to sit down, he never completely stopped moving. But it wasn't to be undisciplined and troublesome, he just couldn't seem to help it. So when Calamitystar came into the nursery the small kit gave a playful squeal and raced over, leaping immediately at his leader's paws and pummeling them with his tiny back claws. Wildkit didn't even answer, instead answering Calamitystar's question with a 'fearsome' snarl as he leaped up and away, tiny triangle tail waving erratically.

"OH." Calamitystar exclaimed in surprise, laughing as he bounced between paws trying to keep them out of the way of Wildkit's kitten claws. "You're going to be a quick-footed warrior for sure!" He attempted to give the little rascal a light bop on the head but his paw met the air as he jumped away. "Definitely a speedster."
Firekit gave a yawn, but seeing his brother attacking Cal, he had to jump in. As Wildkit scurried back, the orange tabby took that opportunity to pin down his tail. "Gotcha!"

He was thrilled, Calamitystar said he be a fast warrior! And Wildkit knew it was true, he was far faster than any of his siblings. And he was already ready for his warrior name, he could even fight! Wildkit gave another snarl when Firekit joined it, spinning around triumphantly and launching himself at their leader again, "we've got him beat!" The small kit went for the paws again, latching onto one for dear life.

Mountainkit opened his eyes as Firekit left the nest, rolling onto his back he looked over at the leader and his brothers, his view of them upside down as well. "Where are we gonna explore?" He asked, not budging from the warmth, he was possibly the laziest of his siblings, it took a great deal to convince him to do anything.

"Why yes, Mountainkit!" Calamitystar purred with a big smile and squinted eyes as he held up his paw with Wildkit and Firekit dangling from it with their little squeals and hisses. "It's going to be so much fun!" He gave his paw a little shake, trying to dislodge the furballs from his paw and you could almost see a bead of sweat down the side of his face as his tactic didn't work. "Ah, you two are really strong, aren't you?"
Mountainkit rolled onto his stomach and let out a big yawn before standing up lazily, he wasn't sure if he was excited about this outing but it seemed his siblings would make up for that. "When are we going?" He asked, walking up to Calamitystar and sitting down, looking up at him with his wide kit-like eyes.

Calamitystar used his un-ambushed paw to pat Mountainkit on the head. "Good question!" To be honest, he hadn't really thought of that yet.... "Uhhh, lets go to the Harvest Hall first and then maybe I can show you all a fun CAVE. How does that sound?!"

Wildkit paused, actually truly stopped moving, for a moment before sitting up and looking at Calamitystar suspiciously, "a cave?" He paced around him, "a real cave? Promise? No kit stuff." They were too old for kit games, he decided, it was time for something for warriors. Like caves!

Firekit snorted and let go of Cal's paw with a suspicious glance. "Yeah, what Wildkit said. We aren't going to go to a baby cave, are we?"
Another bead of sweat popped up on the side of the leader's head. "Of course a real cave! You all are too old for the baby caves." He assured them with a nervous chuckle. Great now I'm going to have to find an actual cave where these scraps will be satisfied but not get eaten.

Wildkit practically swelled with pride, "let's go then!" He sped around in a little circle, excitedly chasing his tail for a moment before looking back at Cal, "so who are we fighting in the caves? SummerClan?!"
For what seemed like the first time ever, Mountainkit began to laugh, falling to the ground on his back as the air left his lungs, as the laughter fizzled away the large kit looked at Wildkit with a smile. "They would eat you, you're so small."

"Heheheh... Cats don't eat other cats, silly." Calamitystar meowed nervously, wondering if somehow the kits had a run-in with Innocentia. "Anyways, lets go! We'll see what we are fighting once we get there." He gave a wink then began to lead the way, Firekit right on his heels.

Wildkit stuck his tongue out at Mountainkit before talking off after Cal, little paws moving so fast he kept tripping. "I can't believe we're gonna fight something! Does this mean we're warriors already?"
Mountainkit followed after Calamitystar, he found it hard to believe that cats didn't at least sometimes eat other cats, but he kept it to himself, Wildkits comment on being warriors catching his attention. "You can be Wildshrimp, cause your short and I'll be Mountainlion." He nudged his brother playfully, to be sure he wouldnt take his teasing too seriously.

"Mountainmouse," he responded immediately, with a good-natured shove of his own. Privately he thought his name would be Wildclaw or Wildtiger but he didn't dare tell his brother that. Joking aside, he didn't think he'd appreciate being told his ambitions for his warrior name were stupid.

Firekit's ears pricked up and he turned back to look at his siblings. "Mountainmoss, Wildrock, and Firetwig!" He purred, naming off all the toys they usually played with. "Wow, I hope we can become warriors today!"
Calamitystar let out a laugh and shook his head. "But don't you want a mentor and to train hard? Being an apprentice is so much fun!"

Wildkit snorted, "then you can be an apprentice, we want to be warriors now, Cal." His voice was matter-of-fact, leaving no room for argument. "Also," he added, turning to look at Firekit, "I don't hate Wildrock!"

"Thanks! I was just thinking about all the toys we love to play with!" Firekit purred, beaming at his brother's comment. "And yeah, I want to be a warrior now. You can be an apprentice, Uncle Cal. In fact, we can be the leaders!"
"Ahahah... I'm not sure the clan would allow that." Cal remarked with a wink. "I mean, they might make you go through a trial, or a test, first."

"The cave is our test, Cal. Duh!" Wildkit returned, skipping a bit with the excitement of it. "We're going to fight whats in the cave and then FallClan will love us!"
