Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
(This is a rp where we're rping ourselves appearing in the Classic world due to Berry and Honey putting cursed text into the Skype chat. Now we've gotta survive our characters! Honeystorm came up with the idea)
The coldness stung against her pale skin, pushing her conscious back into reality. Faith was lying on the pavement of a town square, the sounds of wind and a nearby river instantly gripping her with fear. None of this was where she last remembered herself to be at. When you don't remember how you got somewhere there's a certain sense that time has gone on while you've been empty of this world. A thousand fears swarmed through her mind, she was drugged, just like in all those PSA's they showed her in high school, where did she go wrong? Or maybe someone kidnapped her here? Or maybe her old life had been a dream up until now where she was waking up into her real reality!
Faith sat up, taking a look around, her heart was nauseatingly loud and the ringing in her ear only got louder. The panic took over her so much everything else felt numb as the realization that this was her reality began to sink in. Somewhere in her mind she knew she needed to find somewhere she could deem safe to sit, but her thoughts were traveling back instead of in the moment. How did she get here? She was on Skype and unlike every else she was a light weight and was falling asleep. But then... Then Berry was talking about some urban legend, she must have fallen asleep at her computer because from there she couldn't remember the rest.

Against the wall of a building was a trash can. Average sized in every way possible. And completely normal in the still air. Least till it began to rattle. And rattle and rattle and rattle until it fell over. It rolled to a stop before a poof of red hair popped out, followed by the rest of Berry.
She had just been chatting in the chat. Just like normal. When the conversation led to urban legends, this one immediately jumped to mind. And she couldn't not share it when it came. A dumb copypasta that said that if you copy and pasted it into your chat, you'd be transferred into another world. When she was younger, Berry was the kind to be afraid of most pastas. Copy, Creepy, Spaghetti. The usual. But now she thought she had outgrown that, so why not share it. It only took the little bit of encouragement from Honey to get her to post it. Then... it all went black.
The trashcan must not have been used much, she barely had any trash. "Yeah, real classy, aliens. Now where's Honey?" Berry slowly got to her feet and dusted herself off before peering into the can. It was completely dark. "Honey!"
Okay. SO, maybe they shouldn't have tested the laws of reality after all, but in her defense, none of those actually worked. Usually, when you posted stupid stuff in Skype, you got a few laugh crying emojis, maybe a heart or two, and the conversation went on. It was too interesting to keep to themselves, of course, and like every good legend, there was no way you couldn't test it.
"Whooooahh, AHH." One moment she was typing on a keyboard, and the next she was falling, then rolling, and suddenly, there was another person, and then Honey was crashing directly into Berry as she tumbled from the trash, sending them both sprawling against the sidewalk. Oh. Ow. That hurt. That hurt a lot. Leaning up slowly, she crossed her legs, immediately putting her face in her hands as her head throbbed from nearly braining herself on concrete, the longer parts of dark brown hair falling down to cover the most of the left side of her already hand-covered face.
When one entered new realms, you also weren't supposed to be immediately hurt, but apparently she didn't get to be that lucky. Damn, her head really hurt. At least for the moment, it was enough to stave off the inevitable existential crisis she was about to face once the reality of the situation sunk in.
"Berry?" Faith asked cautiously, recognizing her, but crawled backwards on her back at the entrance of someone else, "Oh my GOD what the heck was that!?"
Her skin was so pale it could literally be called the color white, "What even happened, I fell asleep, I'm having a panic attack over here." She took a breath before letting out a shaky breath, no not everything was okay. Though seeing Berry was pretty cool, it was kind of like a dream, it was scary to be somewhere weird, yet at the same time she just accepted that yeah, Berry was magically here with her, why not?
For a moment her confusion made her panic die down and that was about when she heard people coming towards them. She immediately pushed herself to stand upright and glanced around, dang this was a really large open area and they were at the center of it.

Berry was bowled over suddenly, unable to catch Honey as the pair fell over. Her own head hit the pavement, not even able to concentrate on just where she Honey hit her. She sat up, immediately beginning to rub the back of her head as tears pricked the corner of her eyes. "OW! Damn it." She continued to rub, not even realizing she had pigtails and that she was messing them up until she pulled her hands away and saw little pink hairs attached to them. "What the heck! ... wait, Faith!" Her attention suddenly jumped to the other person. Wow, her hair was long. And ridiculous looking. It was like a Yu-Gi-Oh Protagonist in front of her. That was definitely Faith. On one hand, cool. On the other weird.
"I... I don't know. One minute, we were all just chatting. You sent us a lot of T's and Q's in the chat so we thought you fell asleep. We got talking about urban legends, I put the pasta in and now we're here!! (・_・ヾ "
Once again checking the skype chat at proven to be an amusing mistake. After spending a few hours trying to torrent his textbooks online Stark had given up and decided to see what the chat was buzzing about. The result? He had no idea where he was now, which was admittedly not ideal but, why not? It's not like he could do his homework at this point anyway.
"So, where are we exactly?" He chuckled nervously, he wasn't happy but, social anxiety prevented him from coming off as annoyed as he felt.
She could hear them talking, but with the pounding of her head, she wasn't sure exactly what they were talking about, she wasn't paying enough attention, and she already had a tendency to miss bits and pieces of conversation. Rubbing the heels of her hand into her eyes, she let one hand slide up to push the hair vainly back from her face, only for it to fall in front once again. Honestly, she needed a haircut. But that was besides the point and hardly registered in her mind as she looked at the other three here. Okay, she could pick out Faith, based on previous Skype calls. Strawberry... well, she just assumed because they both fell out of the trash, and honestly, that would have been pretty funny if she wasn't suddenly terrified of the fact she didn't know where they were or how she'd gotten here. One minute, it was all fun and games in chat, and then boom, trashcan girl.
Honey had no idea who the third person was. But, he seemed as lost as the rest of them, not that this was much comfort at all. She wasn't much of a conversationalist, so when they all started talking, she didn't add anything initially, uncertain even of jumping in to speak. At least her headache was subsiding? Not that the dull throb in the back of her skull was much better than the previously piercing pain.
Okay Berry... She mentally noted Stark had come in, she recognized him, but the other person... The the other person had to be someone she knew because that was clearly the pattern here, these were all people from Classic
"Wha cha yah up to over there?"
There walking over was Glowstar, a tall figure made even taller by her two inch stylish black boots raising above the ankle. She wore black nylons, a diamond at the front of her black belt wrapped around her grey tightly plaid skirt and a cream knit sweater accompanied by a long golden jacket. She met the distance between them and knelt down to her ankles to meet Stark, Berry, and Honey's gazes and let out a gasp, "Are you guys rogues?" Glowstar asked, a devious smile forming at her lips, her eyes shining dangerously before standing up right, "So bad. Anyways, I just came in cause I forgot this wallet I stole so if anyone see's a wallet that says Sean Eerie, that's mine. Thief rules."
Faith kept staring at her for a long before barely managing to say, "You're Green."

Okay. She had to be dreaming. That was the logical solution to the fact that that no one was nearly as freaked out as they ought to be in her mind. Of course, her senses told her otherwise, but still. There was no way this was really Glowstar. Sure, she looked right, sounded right, and it was pretty obviously the case when Faith commented on it. But her mind just did not want to accept this line of logic. Absently, she picked up the bluetooth headphones she'd been wearing, the led lights on each side of the ear still blinking with music. Funny, apparently they stayed synced up to her phone in an apparently different universe. Then again, the song that was playing wasn't at all what she'd been listening to before, she was sure of it. A string quartet played the popular song as she lifted it up to her ear, at least, until she flipped the switch, and she heard the rather loud "DISCONNECTED" tone play that seemed painfully disruptive to the silence that had followed Faith's statement. Feeling around in the front pocket of her hoodie, she could even feel her phone. Small comforts, apparently. Not that it suddenly negated the awkwardness of Honey's headphones' sound as she slowly slid it around her neck. "This can't be happening."

Okay, so Faith was here. And Berry recognized Stark from the few times they were in calls together. Of course, the last member of the party was Honey. Somehow this weird world knew of their joke about living in their own trash can. Now here, they were. Completely out of the trashcan, standing in front of some girl who was definitely not green. She was like orange. That wasn't green. Come on Faith. Still, the little pockets in her jacket held her phone, her wallet and her keys. Good, the classics. Not that she could use any of them right now.
"Okay. Me, Honey, Faith and Stark were in a skype chat, along with who knows who else and then--" As she was trying to rationalize it to herself, she couldn't help but hear Honey's headphones go off. "Wait. waitwaitwaitwait. Why do you have the music, Honey? Out of all of us here, I think I'm the one with the most bard potential. You know, rolling to seduce. That's my jam."
"Yeah, I'm Green, though you guys sound like you got your own thing going on," Glowstar said as she moved across the square searching for her stolen item. She knelt down a few times searching before standing up fully, giving up, "So I'll leave you to whatever this is."
"No, hold on," Faith said, barely keeping herself balanced enough to stand up straight, she felt like she had fallen into wonderland, "How are you?"
"I mean good, are you guys go-"
Faith shook her head almost unable to look back at her, "No, like, are you happy? God this is unreal I- there's so much I want to tell you," She seemed at a loss for words, but finally settled on, "It's so good to see you."
Glowstar tilted her head and grinned back at the other three, "Is she always this happy?"

"She's a fan." Honey surprised herself by even managing to speak, let alone come up with a sensible explanation for Faith's actions. But really, did it seem like a wise idea to just go out blabbing that they were literally thrown into an alternate universe that was already an alternative universe of a book series? No, no, it did not. Especially considering how often such characters had tragic backstories, and were more than just a touch violent. "Actually, uhm, could you maybe tell us where we are? We've gotten ourselves a bit lost." She continued on awkwardly, hand unconsciously rubbing through her own hair out of nervousness. Of all the characters they could have met, Green, well, compared to people like Fox, or basically ninety percent of the characters she'd ever created, was slightly less likely to murder them outright, and might even offer them a place in Day. The gang tended to be a bit more caring than others, and if nothing else, hopefully Faith could sweet talk her leader character if things went south. Well, assuming the starstruck awe wore off anytime soon.

"I mean, yeah. How could she not be a fan of the Green? Right Faith??" Berry lightly shook Faith by the shoulders, trying to get her to snap out of it. Sure, she couldn't blame her. Glowstar was as breathtaking here as in Faith's rps. And Berry knew that if... he, came around, she'd lose it too. Luckily nothing happened, even though she was surely shaking Faith too much by now. "Yeah, yeah! We're kinda new to the area." Now she was definitely holding her admin up, and some part of her heart dropped when she heard footsteps behind them.
"Oh god, oh god, oh god." Berry buried her head into Faith's shoulder, shaking her again "God, Kami-sama. I've never and will never pray to you as hard as right now. But please listen to your lost sheep and please let it be anyone else but..."
"Glow? What're you doing hanging around here?" And Berry recognized that voice. Knew it. Now that she had figured out his VA. But of course. Of course. This was his style, to show up when she did not want him to. His light green eyes scanned the group, not recognizing anyone from around here. This was his terf, though. It was odd. As he approached the group, Berry whispered to herself, "God has betrayed me."

"Since when did I become the voice of reason?" Honey put her head in her hands again as she mumbled the words into her palms. Of course, at the voice that she'd helped Berry pick out... she couldn't help but to peek. Yep. That was Funk alright. Damn it all. Fox wasn't here yet, but to be quite honest, the fact that these two were did not bode well. Not at all.
She didn't have anything to say to the League Nemesis. At the absolute best, Glow would just allow them to leave. More than likely, they were about to end up in Innocentia's torture chamber if they didn't end up dead in the next five minutes, and while she was morbidly curious to see the League in more than just her mind's eye, the idea of being chopped to pieces her body scattered to the wind, and what few valuables she had on her sold on the black market Senescence ran, was significantly less pleasant.
"Oh yeah sure, we're in the central gathering, people come from all over to gather here every month," Glow explained, but noticing Funk walking over as puppy dog love clearly took over. She threw her arms lovingly around Funk's neck, "I met these lovely new people, I was thinking we could show them around," She said and leaned in closer to his ear, "But if you want to have fun dissecting them that could be a fun couples activity too," She whispered before giving him a kiss on the cheek
"Oh God, boyfriends bring out the worst in Green," Faith said inwardly before looking at Berry, "Berry get a hold of yourself and also if anyone has any money on them please let me know."
When she looked back at Honey she could see that she was flashing through every single possible scenario that could happen. Yeah okay, damage control was needed, "Hey! You know what I always wanted to do was buy you a sandwich!"
Green's eyes lit up as she instantly tore off from Funk with a giddy expression, "REALLY!?" She asked like she couldn't just buy a sandwich herself, not to mention there wasn't even any description of what kind of sandwich this is.
"Yes, absolutely," Faith said before looking back at Honey, Berry, and Stark, "Okay but seriously, do any of you have money?"
Uhh. Did she? She felt around in the front of her hoodie again. No, only her phone had been in there. Honey stuck her hands in her legging pockets. Okay, yeah, she had her wallet, and she pulled it out quickly, opening it and glancing quickly at Green before gripping it tighter and pulling out a twenty dollar bill for Faith with one hand, the other . "I don't have much." She simply assumed Funk E'tan would be tagging along, and in this case, they were going to have to feed all six of them. She would have a bit more... but honestly, she didn't know if her debit card would work in other dimensions. That would be some great service, of course, but the likelihood was low. The brown haired girl also really, really didn't expect to get through this without being mugged, so it was probably safer to just assume she was broke now, instead of thinking she could just spend whatever she had left otherwise. "It's Honey, by the way, Faith. If, uh, you didn't guess it by now."

Get herself together? How could she? They were trapped in a freaky world with no way to get out and now Glow and Funk were there. Maybe they were actors and this was a huge prank but who the hell would play Funk? She wouldn't ask that on anyone, especially some poor underaged actor who looked way too much like him. The right shade of green for the eyes, the dark circles under his eyes hiding the wash of freckles, even the black glasses looked just as sharp as she imagined them. Berry pried herself off of Faith and wiped her nose. "Okay, okay... I'm calm, I'm calm." She took a couple deep breaths before patting Faith on the back, "Sorry. Let me just..." Brushing off her shoulder, she watched as Glow ran off towards Funk.
Funk was used to people lingering around the gathering area. They'd spend hours talking or making deals or whatever. It wasn't the closest, but Primal Instinct roamed the shadows easily. The underbelly was their friend, after all. So he didn't think much of them when he approached the group. Even the pink-haired girl burying her face into her friend's shoulder wasn't surprising. People had that reaction to him a lot. He wrapped his arm around Glow's hip, kissing her on the cheek. He laughed lowly at the idea of dissecting them. Sure, they were weird, not awful. "Do any of them sound familiar to you though, or is it just me?" He asked quietly before turning to the group, "Sounds like a plan, dear." A little louder this time, he got it out before Glow tore herself off of him. Funk chuckled, walking up to join the group. He could handle being a second to food. And he almost considered paying, but as the group went to their pockets, he held back. Still, that pink haired girl sounded familiar. But he couldn't put his finger on where.
"What happened to always have $40 on you, Faith?" Berry dug through her pockets again and pulled out her wallet. Flipping through it briefly, she stuck it back in her pocket, "I can cover the rest."
Welp. Apparently her work decided firing was too good of a punishment for sneaking peeks at the skype chat during work.
She'd known bad things were coming. She had felt it in her bones. Or maybe that was just the anxiety.
Nevertheless where before she had been trying to catch up with the classic skype chat after taking a break from her work at her desk, Jet had suddenly found herself elsewhere. Unfortunately, her chair and desk had not come with her and she'd landed on the ground on her butt. Hard.
Oh it hurt but she'd been more stunned by the sudden change over to really process it. She'd heard a clatter probably signifying her phone falling beside her. Maybe this time it would crack.
Groaning and finally forcing herself to process that she was in fact somehow outside and could hear voices nearby she pushed herself up.
"Ow." She muttered reaching back to rub her aching behind and her back that had taken it as an excuse to start complaining.
Grimacing the young woman with dirty blond hair, pale skin and blue eyes pushed herself to her feet. She spotted people ahead and she recognized Faith.
"Hey!" She called. "Faith! At least you're here, you'd prolly be my first pick to exploring weird parallel universe or something,"
Post by Honeystorm on Feb 20, 2020 17:40:48 GMT -5
Okay, new person she didn't know, but Honey glanced at Jet all the same. "Uh, well, guess we've got more company. It's Honey." She introduced herself blandly, already completely stressed out. "And that's Glowstar and Funk over there. We're grabbing food, you coming?" She emphasized the names of the two leader characters nearby. Hopefully Jet would realize what was going on, and maybe she'd have someone else to panic with. Probably not though.

"Yeah, come on. We're about to face our first enemy after all." This was just like all jrpgs. The starting party gets together and then the first low level monster will come over the horizon.
