Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
[attr="class","box2"]"Please listen to this as you read :3 "I set out on a narrow way many years ago Hoping I would find true love along the broken road But I got lost a time or two Wiped my brow and kept pushing through I couldn't see how every sign pointed straight to you That every long lost dream lead me to where you are Others who broke my heart, they were like northern stars Pointing me on my way into your loving arms This much I know is true That God blessed the broken road That led me straight to you" -God Blessed The Broken Road by Rascal Flats
Littlestar hovered at the exit to the den that the ceremony preparations had taken part in. Behind her stood the she-cats that she considered members of her family, the ones who had supported her through everything that had happened in her life thus far. They had spent the entire day working tirelessly to get prepared, applying paints in intricate design that covered her from nose to tail. Reds, yellows, oranges, wound around her in delicate flames, all accumulating in the detailed design on her forehead. Her fur was fluffed and well groomed, every strand carefully put into place. She looked magnificent , powerful, and graceful as she took her first steps out into the bright sunlight to meet Skipsetp half way.
Of all the ways her father had thought her life would turn out, this was probably the furthest from the vision that he had come up with. She had been born into the role of a WinterClan princess, her life carefully planned out before she had even been born. She would be raised to be shy, polite, and courteous. She would become mates with Leatherfern, a pure blooded WinterClan tom with an impressive lineage. The two of them would have a ton of litters, and then when the time was right she would take over WInterClan as their new leader.
Yet here she was. The High Priestess of SunClan, getting ready to tie the knot with Skipstep a SunClan Janus. Her life had had many unexpected twists and turns but this was the one thing that she was sure of.
She blinked away the spots that filled her vision as she emerged into the bright sunlight. SunClan filled the area of the ceremony springs, as all their eyes turned and fell on her. Her kits and several of the other clan's kits stood holding the vine that she had created, while on the other side of the clearing more kits stood holding the vine Skipstep had created. There was a buzz of excitement all around them, this would be the first time this ceremony had been done in a long time, and even now it was only with the Sun God's blessing that it had been allowed.
She gazed anxiously at the other tunnel, waiting on Skipstep to appear. After today they would be bound together, even after death.
It had been difficult at first to figure out whom would be his 'groomsmen'. He unfortunately had rather few male friends that remained in SunClan. Dealfinder had left for pastures new, and they'd truly only bonded over the unfortunate Crowluster, and he wasn't about to go all the way to WinterClan to see if they were still on okay terms... in fact he thought he recalled the tom attacking SunClan back when they'd been holding SpringClan and DayClan. It had been a wake up call that he needed to make some friends, but knowing he would still need assistance had decided to just ask those who he'd hung out with at the guy's night out Sean had held. Sean, Bloodyrondo, Squirrelleap, Funk E'tan (it made sense since he had seen Strik and Foxbane around his mate and come into camp, and it seemed impolite to not invite their ally anyways), and Singedwolf. The latter was closer to Littlestar than himself, but he trusted the tom to help ensure preparations went well. Especially since Skipstep had to pick two toms who were not familiar with applying paints and it would be a lot to have Bloodyrondo stuck keeping order. But it worked, with a great deal of stress as his groomsmen bickered and struggled and had to make corrections and do overs. But they had succeeded in the end, his pelt was decked out in lovely designs, swirls and sweeping lines emulating a wind of faint reds, oranges, vibrant popping yellows, and some specks of black brushing past his fur.
He emerged from the tunnel his eyes immediately darting towards the tunnel where he knew Littlestar would appear, and immediately his gray blue eyes lit up when he laid eyes upon her. Littlestar looked positively radiant. He let out a soft purr, the stress of preparation and the struggle of figuring out who to call on to assist him fading away as he laid eyes on the one cat who meant the world to him. And she was going to tie herself to him till the end of time. It made him feel like the sun himself had risen before him and warmed him from everywhere, just by laying eyes upon her.

[attr="class","box2"] Littlestar didn't realize that she was holding her breathe, until Skipstep came into view. While her mate always looked well put together, it was nothing compared to how he looked in this moment. However, it wasn't the intricately painted designs that made her feel that way, it was the light in his eyes. The way he seemed to beam with confidence, how his love for her radiated outwards like rays from the sun. She couldn't help but want to pause time, to savor this moment for all eternity.
Nothing else mattered. Not the stress of the ceremony, their tragic history, or the cats around them. In this moment all the mattered was him, and that moment that his eyes lit up.
It was only the gentle nudge from one of the she-cat's behind her that made her paws carry her forward. She wasn't sure which of them had done it, but she was thankful. A smile spread across her face, as the normally poised she-cat couldn't contain her joy. She felt like an apprentice going out of camp for the first time, a kit when presented with a new toy. But more extreme, like nothing that she had even been through and the words couldn't quiet capture.
Each step she took brought her closer to Skipstep, as the crowd around them seemed to melt away. When they finally reached one another she burried her nose in his fur, her tail intertwining with his like they had always meant to be. She leaned in, whispering in his ear so that only he could hear "I love you" [newclass=.box2]margin:0px auto; width:300px; height:425px; background: transparent; overflow:auto; padding:8px;[/newclass] [newclass=.box2::-webkit-scrollbar]width:5px;[/newclass] [newclass=.box2::-webkit-scrollbar-thumb]background: #772929;[/newclass]
Feeling rather out of place and strangely inadequate, the initiate sat slightly taller, resisting the urge to fidget. His fur was neatly groomed, slick to his slides and free of tangles; it was the first time since he'd joined the clan he'd taken the time to get cleaned up, and he looked like a different cat entirely. Thinner, cleaner, and the gray paint over his scarred cheeks made him almost decent to look upon. Most of all, despite expecting to see fire and flames in this ceremony, despite his discomfort in the situation, he looked nearly peaceful, nearly proud to be there with them. Not that he would ever admit it.
At least they got Skipstep looking handsome. Singedwolf wasn't thrilled about having to help with any of this, but seeing the couple up there... they looked right with each other. He didn't understand why she felt the need to do any of this, but he couldn't get in her way, not if it made her happy. She was meant to be here with him. He just wished he didn't have to sit here the whole time.
(That song is my boyfriends ringtone on my phone XD I love that song!)
"Wow...she sure does look beautiful" Divinepaw commented, her eyes widening in admiration at the beautiful leader.
Waspkit was one of the kits holding up Skipstep's fine on one side of the clearing. He fidgeted in his spot, excited to see the two cats finally tying the knot. He wondered if he would ever be married one day.

[attr="class","box2"] Littlestar glanced out over the gathered crowd that had come to watch the ceremony. Two groups of cats sat on either side, leaving a walk way just big enough for the two of them to ascend the hill. The walk-way was lined with sunflower and rose petals, their fragrant scent over powering even the strong scent of herbs that grew here.
Most of these cats were from SunClan, but a few were honored guests that had been invited to attend. It was easy to spot them among the crowd due to their gray paint in the sea of bright colors. Most cats never got to step foot onto SunClan's territory, and it was only because of this special case that the sun god had made an exception.
She took one step forward, making sure that she moved in sync with her mate. It felt easy and natural, as if they were already two parts of a whole. This ceremony would seal their connection, but she couldn't help but feel like there was already one there. This was merely a formality, an assurance that they would never be separated even into the next life. His fur felt warm and comforting, but at the same time exciting. Like like sparks of energy seemed to form between them.
She could see Autumngossamer standing atop the hill. Even though she had her issues in the past, she was still SunClan's soothsayer. Around her was a stone archway, a solitary stone pillar that stood a few fox-lengths from the entrance was the candle that she and skipstep had made together from the sunflower oil and dyed with herbs and berries. It had been a hard process, but well worth it. It stood tall, swirling with bright flames that marked their high rank within the clan. Jetclaw, Faith
Mistyrose had nudged Littlestar forward and watched as her friend moved further away from her, closer to Skipstep. She spared a smile for this one occasion and relinquished a breath, Littlestar had found her happiness.
Autumngossamer waited at the end, she was the first soothsayer to do this so naturally she was going to make this up as she went because it had never been done before so there couldn't be a wrong way, right? She watched the couple meet her at the top of the hill, they were a pain in her paws, but honestly, she never minded them until Littlebird became Littlestar so it was probably a power struggle conflict than anything personal. Yesterday she considered messing up their big day, but she would leave that to fate. She already didn't know what she was going to do when they came up here and was certain she would accidentally mess this up either way, but was at least going to try to give them a good wedding day.
"Are you two ready?" Autummngossamer asked, having no clue what they would need to be ready for.
Skipstep had to remind himself to watch where he set his paws, his eyes seeming to be magnetized towards his mate. While he was presentable and looked good enough to remain dignified, he couldn't hold a candle to how lovely Littlestar was.
He kept step with her, occasionally shifting his focus ahead to ensure he didn't fall flat. His tail twined with hers, murmuring softly in her ear. "This is like when I first saw you, the sun god's light beaming down upon you. I had known then you were special." He could picture the instance. Foxbane, then Foxstar, presenting the new priestess promised to the clan. Skipstep at first not paying full attention, a little irked by Foxstar choosing an outsider, but then he'd seen her. He'd known the moment he laid eyes on her she was something special, and it had started to thaw the frost that had taken hold of his heart then.
Now, Leaning in closer, pressing in as they neared Autumngossamer. "I love you with all my heart," He whispered softly in her ear. His heart was hers, she'd been the one to return the warmth and light back to him after all. It belonged to her and her alone.
Now he felt warm from ears to tail tip as he stood beside her before Autumngossamer. At her question he let out a light laugh, "I mean my heart belonged to Littlestar from the start, but it's nice to make it official, and eternal in the eyes of the Sun God." He added casting a glance upwards at the sun above them. "And yes, I am ready."

[attr="class","box2"] Littlestar almost forgot to breathe, only at the touch of her mate and the sound of his words was she able to find her own voice. She felt like an over excited apprentice, stumbling over her racing thoughts that came and went so quickly that it was difficult to take one of them and form them into something coherent. She nuzzled Skipstep's cheek, and then turned to Autumngossamer with blazing golden eyes "I am ready"
This ceremony wasn't something to enter into lightly, even the Sun God had given them a stern warning and time to think it over. With this ceremony, their souls would be bound together for all eternity. Even after death, their time together would not end. There was no changing your mind once it had been completed, and even if you came to hate the one you were bound with, you would never escape them.
She understood the consequences, but the one thing scarier than an eternity with someone, was and eternity without Skipstep. Littlestar had chosen him, and it was a honor for the Sun God to choose them to bring back the old tradition that had been lost for so long.
Make something up, that sounds genuine! And actually thought out and not like you're just making it up in the moment. Autumngossamer smiled at the two and nodded. Say something.
"Littlestar and Skipstep, you have chosen to devote your heart and soul to one another in holy unbreakable matrimony. When this ceremony is complete no one and nothing will ever be able to separate the bond that has bound you two together. Do you both understand that you will be bound together in holy matrimony and promise me that you have come to me united with pure untainted love for one another?"

[attr="class","box2"] Littlestar looked over at her mate, her excitment nearly bubbling over as the question reached her. Of course she loved him, and in this way to should correct her past mistakes. In this she could prove that she loved him above all else "I do"
