Glow sat down at the top of a coca cola billboard ad, there was so much graffiti you could hardly tell it ever advertised anything. She could still spy out the tags that Fox and her had been adding to it for years, some with spraypaint, but others with sharpie and even more creative avenues like lipstick and her failed moss spray diy, anything they had on hand really. The billboard told a story of their friendship at this point, all the little notes they wrote to each other, the good and bad, it was easy to laugh at now. The billboard overlooked the Survival gangs in the distance, or what used to be of them. That part of the city seemed so empty now aside from Renegade Regime. At least now they were further away from everyone else, or as far away as they could get. They did have the underground tunnel systems for the whole city, the whole city was a lot though, not just city land, but suburbs, rural areas. Glow's hand felt past Fox's and dug into a tin of gummybears. She picked a gummybear from a tin, inspecting it before putting it back and pulling out a coconut one and tearing a bite into it rather than eating the whole thing. "I've decided something," Glow said, watching the sun slowly move down before looking at Fox, "I'm going to tell Funk that we're taking a break. I just have a lot to think about after what you said and it wouldn't be right to emotionally cheat on him while working through things. So the next time I see him, I'm going to let him know that." Somewhere while she was talking she stopped looking at Fox and was looking out over the horizon. It was weird, it felt like if she ever crossed that horizon it was like walking off the earth, what was past there? Just a bunch of dead gang territory, but beyond that what was there? She loved her life here, but she always wondered.
Her hand pushed the tin of gummybears towards Fox, "They're coconut and pineapple gummies."
Lining the back of the billboard were plenty of snacks in tins that they had saved over time, even some sleeping bags and blankets for warmer months. The railings were guarded by a low barrier, it was there so peoples paint cans wouldn't roll off, but standing there was no protection.

As was per usual for the ex-Priestess, she had a hot coffee in one hand and was casually sipping on the spiced latte. How she managed to drink something like that and not die, when she'd added, oh, an extra four shots of espresso to it, let alone drink multiple in a day and not be a jittery mess, was beyond comprehension. The only one in the entire city she thought could rival her habit was Funk himself, Glow's soon-to-be semi-ex. At the revelation of the impending break, the pale redhead found herself swirling the cup and taking a nice large drink, before resting that arm on the one knee pulled close to her chest. "I broke up with Condor shortly after our talk in the snow." Honestly, most probably thought they'd been over for months. But he'd been there through everything, and only left when she'd told him they were through, laid out how she'd manipulated him into the relationship in the first place, cheated on him, more than once, and that she couldn't stay with him after declaring her love for Glow. "He didn't deserve what I was doing to him. Probably headed off to Summer, since that's where most of Water went."
She lifted her other hand, delicately picking out a yellow gummybear and popping it in her mouth. Did not go well with coffee, but oh well. "You're a better person than I am, for wanting to sort yourself out instead of just jumping straight into affairs without a second thought." The fact that she had only broken up with him after confessing her feelings, and not before, still spoke to someone that didn't exactly make good relationship material, though the fact she'd left him at all was a step, it seemed.
Glow let out a gasp and playfully punched her friend in the shoulder, "You asked me out and you were still with him? I didn't even know you were still with the guy! I would have been a homewrecker, you jerk," She smirked. Her hand pressed up her own cheek in distress, "Mmm. We tore each others lives a part, our fury lit fire to Day and Sun and we've pushed those we love away, or at least someone I can say I love. And every time we go at each other I find that each time we lose something that leaves us closer together and now," She lifted up the tin of gummybears shaking it with a grin, "There's just a tin of gummybears between us. So." She said setting it down, "Tomorrow I'm going to be transparent with Funk and after, once again, it'll be us, but next time there won't be this tin care of gummybears. So can we meet under this billboard tomorrow at noon? Alsoooo," She threw a pillow at Fox, "Billboard sleepover? For old times," She said, a smile playing at her lips.

Fox laughed lightly in response, flashing a semi-embarrassed grin back Glow's way. "At least this time I had the decency to break it off. That's a first." Actually, thinking about it, this was the first time she'd broken up with anyone. Everyone else had been flings, and Deal, well, he'd left her without so much as a whispered goodbye, so really, it was a monumental occasion, albeit a few days late.
"We could destroy the whole world, break each other down past bone, and yet still walk out of it together. No matter what happens, there will always be us, in one form or other." She plucked another gummy bear from the tin at random. Coconut. She definitely liked the pineapple ones better. She let her head fall back, staring up at the stars as her breath steamed out into the air, a warm white cloud, and then cold air rushing back into her lungs with the inhale. "I'll bring the cult paint, whether we use it on ourselves or the billboard, we shall see." Her head tilted to the side to look at Glow with a hint of a smirk. "Perks of no longer being Priestess is that I don't have the duties that need skipping out on."
Fox lifted her arm to block the pillow, immediately throwing it back. "Is it really a sleepover if we'll undoubtedly be awake far into the night?" She mused, though that was pretty much a yes, as she gave a definitive nod. "Good luck with Funk. I'm sure that's... not going to be an easy conversation." If nothing else, it would be slightly confusing. It was like those love triangles you saw in movies. Girl A has fling with Guy B. Guy B declares his love to Girl C, and they date. Now Girl A has declared her love for Girl C, they've come full circle, and no one knows where the train will stop. Honestly, they should steal enough money to turn their lives into some sort of sitcom.
"Yeah," Glow agreed, her thoughts trailing off to Deal suddenly feeling sad. She didn't know you could break up with someone you loved, but the universe made it pretty clear that they could not be together for more than a day, sometimes less than that. "It's hard."
She breathed out laughter at the mention of cult paint, it was always funny hearing her admit her gang for what it was. Glow grinned at the oncoming pillow attack and fell backwards dramatically onto the sleeping bag as though she got a brick thrown to her face, the agony! "Are you kidding me? It wouldn't be a sleepover if we didn't stay up late!" She laughed, but her expression softened at the mention of Funk, "No, it won't be easy because I know I love him. I know my emotions well, it's why I don't regret or hold shame, or am nervous, or embarrassed, everything I feel I'm certain of. Except you, I never stood a chance when you confessed your love that second time, did I?" Glow blushed, she could feel her face become so red it seemed to take over her skin. She laughed it off, her pale skin returning as she relaxed back a bit, "This is the second time I'm putting my love life at risk because I venture to be by your side, I think that alone says a lot, that's why although I'm uncertain about my feelings for you, I'm certain that I need to do this."
(If you want your next reply can fas forward to when Fox is meeting Glow again under the billboard)
Hard. That's not how Fox would have described breakups. Okay, with Deal, that was different, he'd literally caused her to turn into a creature bent on revenge and ruining the lives and happiness of those around her, but that was the exception. Breaking up with Condor had only been hard so far as the guilt in her chest for what she'd done.
And of course she could admit it was a cult. After all, she'd designed it that way. Miraculous deity or not, the thing was more cult than gang, and honestly, she needed to ask Little about buying out the television stations to start spreading propaganda supporting them and their religion. Seemed like a good idea. Well, anyway, Fox turned to Glow's blushing face, her own cheeks burning as she smiled back. Ah, yes, that had been a rather interesting reaction. It was endearing now, but it had been beyond terrifying back then, when her world turned back upside down from what she'd thought. "This is the first time I'm allowing myself to truly love. I loved Deal, but that wasn't love in the right way, and I never loved Condorstrike, don't even think I really told him I did, now that I wonder about it. You're also the first person I've had the chance to admit to being in love with, and that's terrifying, but I'm done hiding my heart away for fear of it hurting. I did that once, and I don't have any desire to do it again."
- THE NEXT DAY -
Surprisingly, Fox was there first. Well, maybe that was because she was over an hour early, with an overfilled backpack that looked like an adorable fox. Hah. In it, she had everything they could ask for, if they didn't already have it up here, snacks, paints, brushes, one or two cans of spray paint she'd forgotten she had in a corner of her room, some makeup and nail polish in case they needed it, two oversized sweaters, an assortment of weapons and other questionably legal things, and quite a bit else that one would be utterly surprised she could actually fit in the averagely sized bag. Everything you could need to have a sleepover with your best friend who may soon turn girlfriend, right? Hopefully.
With some time to kill, she sipped on, you guessed it, her latte with it's extra espresso, snacking on one of the half a dozen fresh pastries she couldn't help but buy. Okay, maybe she'd stolen them when the clerk wasn't looking, but still.
She could see Fox in the rear view mirror where her car was parked a bit of a distance away. She had drove all the way here, but couldn't find the strength in her to put a smile on her face. Glow swallowed back tears, but no matter how many times she reminded herself not just how she needed to breakup with Funk, but wanted these moments with Fox a memory came back and with it came the truth that she may never have that moment again. She hadn't given herself enough time to gather herself, she didn't want Fox to think that she was having doubts. But there were loose feelings that hadn't been sorted away into her heart properly. She had gotten there twenty minutes early to take this time to pull herself together and when that time passed and she was ten minutes late with no way of hiding the rasp in her voice and the pink in her eyes, there was no point in even trying to put on makeup.
Glow opened the car door and moved it shut with her hip before she strode up to Fox, a faint, please-forgive-me-for-looking-like-a-mess smile painted along the edges of her lips, "Funk and I are broken up now. I don't date a lot, but when I do I really fall hard."
She pulled out a sloppily molded polymer clay fox, it had acrylic paint. "That's why I went home after and made you this," She smirked before drying her eyes more, "I'm sorry I'm such a drag on our first day, but Fox, I really want to go out with you," She said placing the fox figurine into Fox's hand before gently cupping it to show it glow, "This could be our ship," She laughed lightly, but more seriously added, "So can we maybe like, hook up if that's okay with you?" She asked more shyly, seeming to lose her nerve and eye contact in the process.

She'd spotted Glow the moment she'd arrived, but Riley "Fox" the ex-leader of the Sun Cult didn't try and meet her early. Of course, she started toying with the idea when Glow didn't exit her vehicle at their scheduled time, but she tried to push away her impatience. She had quiet literally caused a breakup. While that, to her, was nothing, the Day leader was a whole different person, and never dated people she didn't sincerely care about.
When she arrived and presented the glowing fox, the redhead couldn't help but stare at it like it was the most beautiful thing she'd ever seen, next to Glow herself, of course. It didn't even matter how much of a mess the other girl was, that didn't diminish how pretty she was, one bit, and Fox threw her arms around Glow in a hug, careful to keep the clay figurine safe in her grasp. "I love it Glow." She whispered next to her ear, the soft smile on her lips present in her tone.
After a long moment, she pulled back, that surprisingly gentle smile still on her face as she brushed a stray piece of Glow's hair out of the way, though her eyes still gleamed with a sense of danger in them. "We can do whatever you'd like." It was oh so hard to keep the purr out of her voice, it just came so naturally that she had to put effort to minimize it, though no matter how much she tried, it still managed to sneak it's way through, just a bit.
One thousand years she waited for this sincere warm moment, to feel Fox in her arms again. She could imagine the world spinning around them in a storm of fire, this moment felt too powerful to be a simple hug and when Fox moved back she held onto both of Fox's hands like she couldn't bare to let go of her and therefore this moment. She stared lovingly into her ivy green eyes as Fox spoke, "I think," She kissed Fox on the side of her cheek, "I want to make up for lost time."
"Oh! We can go bother NightClan, no harm since no one we like there is still in Night, plus maybe we can steal some of their turf for the Pride," Glow suggested, after all Fox always brought out the worst in her and she had been missing that assassin side of herself lately.
