Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Citrinekit stepped hesitantly out of the nursery, finding a place for herself just at the mouth of the den. Her sister Cherrykit was far more adventurous than her and had already ventured out of the nursery a pawful of times, never coming back without an amusing story to tell her. It was only now that Citrinekit felt at ease enough to try it herself, and even then, she was still feeling apprehensive. Sitting down and placing her tail neatly over her paws, she resigned herself to simply watching Clan life go by for the foreseeable future, the picture of the ideal, well-behaved kitten.
Strangekit grimaced as he awoke, seeing one of his den mates sitting in the entryway to the nursery. There was still plenty of space for him to get by if he were to choose to do so, but that would saying something along the lines of "excuse me." if he didn't want to be rude. He noticed who the kit was, recognizing her as Citrinekit. She was one of the more timid kits in the nursery, Strangekit had noticed. He decided he was too bored to stay cooped up in the nursery, and he also decided he was too annoyed to be nice. "Are you just going to sit there all day?" There was a little bit of bite to his comment, that he hadn't necessarily meant to put in, but wasn't upset about either.
Citrinekit started as she heard another kit's voice jolting her out of her daydream. "Oh. Um..." she murmured, averting her gaze to the ground shyly. She recognised him as a fellow inhabitant of the nursery, but like most of the other kits, she couldn't put a name to the face yet. "M-maybe, to be honest," she added, still unable to look at the tomkit. She hadn't twigged that he might have been annoyed at her being in the way, rather than her lack of activity. "I don't really know what I'm doing yet - I thoght about maybe just watching from a distance at first, so I could get used to things..."
Pumpkinkit had been outside the nursery, doing her usual thing of trying to eat anything in sight, and so when she found a rather delicious berry in a nearby bush, she had scooped up some more and dashed back to the nursery, looking for her siblings. She stopped at the entrance just in time to hear Citrinekit. The orange tabby dropped the bulk of berries she held in her mouth, and lightly pawed one to both Citrinekit and Strangekit, a large smile on her face. "Try it! It's delicious!" she said, almost seeming to bounce where she stood.
Outside of the nursery, a little bit further away within the camp, Maplepaw and Fawnpaw return from a spot of hunting. Their catch was pretty average for the time of year, and as the two young apprentices delivered their kills, Maplepaw's ever-jabbering self began to meow at his quieter sister, who, as they walked away from the fresh kill pile, twitched her ear and nodded slightly, but gazed around the camp. Spotting Pumpkinkit grab a few berries and dart into the nursery, her ears perked up and her whiskers twitched. "Hey, loudmouth- did you see Pumpkinkit?" Fawnpaw asked, stubby tail swishing a bit. "Huh-? OH! Yeah, what in starclans name is she eating now? Maybe we should check it out!" Maplepaw replied, already bounding over to the nursery as the kit disappeared inside with her prizes for her littermates.
