Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Nightclan Jetclaw Echomelody looked empathetically at Beetleflight. "I dont think she would do that." The black and white she-cat shivered from the chilly night and scooted closer to Beetleflight until their pelts were touching.
Flamingstar looked from Kotori to Senescence and back again. "I believe I've seen you before." She mewed. "My name is Flamingstar, now. I used to be called Flame when I was in the league."
Springclan @jadie "Mine? Well, let's see" She thought for a moment before answering the curious apprentice. "My favorite color is blue, my favorite food is mouse, and my least favorite food would probably be lizard. I dont like frog, though, either" she chuckled. "I see you like flowers. What is your favorite flower?"
"Oh, picking a favorite flower is so much harder! It depends on the season, but I'd say my favorite flower is a fuchsia. They are pink and purple and so delicate. I've only every seen a couple because they are so hard to keep. I'd have some in my crown if they were in season," Poppypaw mewed, she was clearly very passionate and knowledgeable about flowers and eager to talk about them. To be fair, she seemed eager to talk about just about anything, " You have a lot of flowers in SpringClan too, right? I've heard you've got big pink trees with flowers for leaves, I'd love to see them someday!"
"Your right! We do! And they are so beautiful! I'll tell you what. Whenever you come to visit Springclan, I will personally take you to go see them. Deal?" Dovewish mewed, giving a flick of her feathery tail.
Funk stretched out, his frame long as he let out a yawn and his light underbelly stick out. For everything that happened, The Nemesis was still as casual as ever. Like he was the real king. When he opened his eyes again, he saw the fluffy orange tom approaching him. Even without all the paint, he reeked of Sunclan. As he approached, he rolled over onto his stomach.
"Yep that's me. Though I'd like to know who's asking and why he's been eyeing me since I came here." He jumped right to the point, not revealing a thing that suggested he knew who Bloodyrondo was. There was no reason for him too.
"You know her? I thought she was sent to me by StarClan to be my eternal annoying punishment for slacking off so much in training," Nikkopaw said passively before rolling over to look in Bloodyrondo's direction, but continued to speak to Fierypaw, "Y'know I had a vision that he was going to fall off a cliff. I don't know when, but I feel like it's going to happen and like, I have to be the one to save him or something. Okay, I didn't have the vision, but the point is I know someone reliable who did see it."
PRIMAL INSTINCT
Kotori's ears flattened like a kit who got caught doing something bad but forced a sugar sweet smile to rise past the corners of his lips, "I won't confirm nor deny that."
He got up and winked at Flamingstar before walking away entirely, likely to already leave early to wherever they were meeting.
DAYCLAN
"Hey look, that kiddos talking to you, you made your friend friend already at a gathering, congratulations Funk," Glowstar purred, but her gaze turned to look up at the moon with concern. Mainly concern that the rest of the clans would freak out or something and leave. She believed in StarClan, but bad omens, no.
"Oh my gosh, I can't wait!" Poppypaw replied, her eyes flashing with true excitement,"I don't understand Clan politics or anything but since you are best friends with Thistlestar I'm sure that means you can pull some strings for me. In the spring, of course, there's no better time to visit a mountain Clan than in its own season! I can't promise to return the favor but I'll see if I can bring Fairystar around to the idea. He's new but seems nice, we haven't talked much but I'm sure I can win him over... anyway... it was nice talking to you, Dovewish, I am happy to say I have a friend in SpringClan now, and you can say the same about SummerClan too!" The flame point she-cat was back on her feet, the flower crown on her head sliding over her eyes a bit, but it did not seem to slow her down, "See you at the next Gathering?"
"Littlestar will formally introduce me later, but I'm Bloodyrondo. You may know me better as Vampmyers. I don't know if it was you or Vibrance who gave me that name," He replied, his voice even, if not a little robotic. He'd had this conversation many times in his head, as most cats with absentee parents likely did, not that he was not proud of it, "I just wanted to meet you."
Funk's casual confidence was an intimidating display of power to Bloodyrondo. A cat only shows his belly when he doesn't feel threatened. Doing so now meant that Funk was sure that, even surrounded by potential enemies, if an attacked was launched he would still be able to counter it. There was a truce against violence, sure, but not everyone here had agreed to it. The Gathering really was not all the safe. Maybe Bloodyrondo was just reading into the body language too much. The Nemesis could just be crazy, most League cats are. He glanced back at Nikkopaw and Fierypaw, suddenly eager to get back to that conversation, just as the clouds covered the full moon. As a SunClan cat, he wanted to take that as a good omen, although something didn't feel right.
Flamingstar watched Kotori leave before turning back to the other leaders. "I think weve waited long enough for the other clans. Shall we do our announcements or call this meeting to an end? Because it doesn't seem like Starclan wants this to continue for much longer." The flame colored she-cat looked up at the moon that was being covered up by the cloud.
Springclan @jadie
"I would love nothing more than for us to share worlds but it's okay if you cant. I can pull strings so that you can see the flower trees." Dovewish purred, offering a warm smile. "It was very nice talking to you, too Poppypaw and you always have a friend in Springclan. I will definitely see you at the next gathering." Before the apprentice scurried away, Dovewish fixed Poppypaw's flower crown.
"How convenient after you stirred up everything, you want to end it quickly." Rubyflame muttered rolling her eyes from her spot where the other deputies gathered. She already didn't like Flamingstar. Mostly because HOW DARE SHE insult Glowstar. Glowstar was a great leader... Granted she enjoyed putting DayClan in danger and Rubyflame herself had followed her leader into dangerous situations.
The incident under Twolegplace with the big giant scaly things came to mind. But they all mostly emerged stronger from the experiences.
SpringClan Faith Softpelt shook her head at the leaders antics and shifted to sit back, bumping her shoulder into Autumngossamer, "Oh! My apologies," She told the Soothsayer, as she shifted to give her more room. "Bit crowded and it's quite busy this gathering. Lot going on this gathering."
Beetleflight felt his fur heat up but he eagerly let Echomelody in closer, trying to be subtle as he wrapped his tail loosely around her flank. "You're probably right." He said, too thrilled to say much more about Flamingstar. There were other things to talk about. Like how lovely Echomelody looked tonight-er! would that be weird? The compliment might come out of nowhere he needed to ease it in. "It's a lovely night," He said. Well not really it was rather cloudy, as the clouds had covered the moon. Not the best lead in. But smooth the black tom was not.
FaithJadie Fierypaw blinked her black and ginger pelt lying flat as she squinted at Nikkopaw. "You know someone, who saw a vision of that cat going over a cliff... so rather than tell him you're gonna just... follow him around?" She asked.
Flamingstar snorted to Rubyflame, "No one asked you. The grown ups are talking."
Echomelody looked up at the sky. "I suppose it is. Though it would be nicer if the clouds weren't covering most of the sky," she responded, completely oblivious to Beetleflight's indirect compliment.
DAYCLAN "Then why is your mouth open again?" Fia Cendrillon countered from her place beside Rubyflame, looking up and down at Flamingstar above her with an expression that just screamed absolute disappointment. She rather ignored the cloud thing in the sky. Oopsie, if StarClan wanted to complain, they could come down from the sky and do it, not play with some mysterious clouds.
"Oh my gosh. That was so funny, I forgot to laugh." Flamingstar mewed, clearly annoyed. She just wanted to go home and collapse in her warm nest. She was too exhausted to keep fighting with the other clan cats. It was obvious no one wanted her there.
If Funk stared at the moon, he didn't heed its omen. The Nemesis only absently listened, wanting to remember the name. Bloodyrondo. What clan cat knew what a rondo was? It was only when the name Vibrance came up that he put two and two together. His eyes widened as he stared at Bloodyrondo, memories from so long ago bubbling to the surface in his mind. Now that he looked at him, he looked the right age to be born shortly after he met Vibrance. But, there was no way. Really? He must be. That was why he was staring at Funk so much.
"Vibrance. That name brings back some memories. I take it she is well." His voice quieted, a little gentler as he met Bloodyrondo's gaze again, "Heh... Vampmyers. Sounds just like a name she would give a kid. She took you, kids, to Sunclan then?"
~~~ Dayclan Honeystorm "Must be a lot of history, I s'pose." Goldenphantom mused to herself in her spot next to Fia. This Nightclan leader wasn't giving a good impression, but she wasn't one to yell at her in the middle of the gathering like her other Immortal Council members. She lightly pressed herself against Fia, "Don't let her ruffle your feathers too much, Cendy."
"Well, obviously," Bloodyrondo replied with a little bit of attitude despite his earlier trepidation. The sass was uncalled for, since it was not actually obvious - he could have wound up in SunClan for any number of reasons - but the Priest Promised was vexed and the only way he knew how to deal with it was to lash out. Funk's reaction had been underwhelming to him, although he would have reacted the same way to anything the bengal tom had said. Bloodyrondo would never had admitted to it, but the absence of a father in his life did bother him, and he had yet to sort out that emotional baggage, "Anyway... I'm sure you have better things to do then talk with me further."
"Thanks! See you next time!" Poppypaw purred in reply to Dovewish, looking her right in the eye but not in a confrontational way. She waved her tail a few times as she disappeared into the crowd, looking for another new cat to meet.
This time she stumbled into Bleakwind, noticing his hackles slightly raised,"Hi mister! I'm Poppypaw. You seem upset, is something wrong?"
Shatteredreign sat near where the bulk of the Springclan cats had gathered, being as how he didn't actually know anyone else. Sure, gatherings were a time to mingle with and get to know cats from other clans, but he didn't even know how to begin a conversation with a different clan. What, did he just walk up to someone and introduce himself? 'Hey, I'm Shatteredreign and I'd like to talk to you'? No, that didn't seem right. Should he be more formal?
SUMMERCLAN
For it being Snowdroppaw's first gathering, she was rather timid. She could imagine her siblings just bouncing off of the trees with excitement, but she was more levelheaded, and rather intimidated by the leaders standing in the branches. She looked around, noticing how no one else seemed nervous. In fact, they seemed almost comfortable and picking at the other cats. She took in a deep breath, deciding that being scared would just prompt others to make fun of her when they got back to camp, and ran up to the first non-Summerclan cat she saw.
cleav told me that rr could stroll in fashionably late
gossamer,ing not know that the clouds over the moon is a bad sign, strolling into class fifteen minutes late
THE REGIME
"WELL, if someone would have told me we had to go early, I would have made sure we went early. But none of you that have been here more than, how long has it been? Oh right, two days. None of you who have been here more than two days bothered to let me know we were invited to a party tonight until an hour ago, and then you didn't let me know that it would take us so long to get here! I'm going to make such a bad impression," she chattered to the cats that followed her as she entered the clearing. She had no idea that this was probably not the gathering that she wanted to be at. She didn't know the rules of the game. Hell, she barely knew the name of her new group. But, when one of the guiders who had been trying to explain to her the going's on of the forest explained to her that on the full moons, the groups all came together and sang Kumbaya, she just knew she needed to come join. Which meant that she needed to bring whatever cats would come with her.
She glanced to the patrol once more. "This is the party? I'll have to show you clan cats a party before the week is over," she meowed with a wink, before trotting forward. "I guess do what you gotta do I've gotta find the big wigs." By this point, she had almost completely walked away from the few Regime felines that had bothered to accompany here. "Anyone want to point me in their direction? Cats who run this place?" She was now talking to anyone who would listen, which happened more often than not.
"I guess so." Funk's eyes narrowed at... his son's sudden attitude. Aw, that was still weird. Gee, he was surprised she went to Sunclan of all places. He didn't think the harsh culty life was for her, but what did he know. Not much anymore. The bengal's attention went somewhere else as the Regime came in. "Ah, the bootlickers. Wonder where their boot wearer is. I haven't seen him in ages." Though for all of Funk's squinting and 'hmm'ing, he couldn't see Raijin in that mess. Was he that fond of that slice of territory. He couldn't help but wonder as he called out to the supposed head of the group, "Over here. Though I think only Commander Raijin should be over here. You wouldn't happen to know where he is?"
The REGIME Amusement flickered in her eyes. Oh, yes, all of these cats would be looking for little old Raijin, wouldn't they? Chaos swirled in her eyes, before she let out a charming little purr. "He's in my prison," she meowed with a hint of delight in her voice. It had been so fun for her to throw him in there. Sure, she was pretty easily amused, but the look on the former commander's face when he lost the bet? If she had a dollar for every time a cat looked like that, well, she'd only have one dollar.
The flame-point trotted over to Funk, her tail flicking slightly. "He and I played a game, and let's just say, he lost." Her lips twitched in amusement. She knew who the cat in front of her was, and a soft distaste came from the pit of her stomach. Primal Instinct. She still was unsettled by the deep feeling in the pit of her stomach when she came across the League. It wasn't fear, she had never truly felt fear, but rather an ancient distrust that had worked its way into her very bones. Mysterium had told her all about Funk, and most things about how the League stood as it was. Oh, how fun it was to have a brother who was also in a position of power. . "My name is Commander Gossamer Alessandra," she meowed. "You must be Funk E'tan. It's so good to finally put a face to the name! I've heard so much about you, and you're even cuter in person. Oh, I know I probably shouldn't, but I just want to give you a big ol' squish." Her unblinking nature was unnerving, despite the fact that she sounded so utterly sweet. A kind of cat that Funk probably had some experience with in his own group..
"Trust me girl, you'll thank me for not mentioning this so called party. I mean they don't even call this a gala, they just call it a gathering. Like hell no, if my daughters like, "dad, I'm having a gathering of friends" and brought this many friends to a party. Well, I'm not the perfect parental figure, I'd join in, but if I was an actual rule abiding father I'd be mad cause this isn't some small gathering," Sean said.
Sean was Superior Shule's mate and shared as much in common with each other as a cactus and a mouse, nothing imaginable. Never was there a more chaotically controlled aura than Sean's, it danced off of him like light beams of moonlight. He had an addictive kind of danger about him, the kind one felt safe using and less afraid it would turn on themselves. Shule's energy hung on her more like a dark cloud, the dangerous parts of her displayed like a blade, she was stern and often stoic. Sean scrunched up his nose at Funk E'tan's comment, but his green yellow gaze relaxed at Commander Gossamer Alessandra's comment. The sentinel quickly added, "Don't bother, he has bad taste in she-cats. He only crushes on blind protectors mistake."
"I'M YOUR TWIN," Glowstar reminded Sean.
"And thank blind protector, we're not identical. I know it must be hard to look at me and see what you could have been," Sean said sympathetically.
PRIMAL INSTINCT
"Don't you even think of cuddling up to my nemesis commander spider silk! He doesn't need your germs!" Innocentia said sticking her tongue out. The tiny white puffball had become proxy and seemed to randomly come to Funk E'tans defense. Or maybe not so much randomly, maybe she would always be by Funk E'tans side if it wasn't for Senescence distracting her in all her beautiful ways. Innocentia sounded more like a kit, but one thing was definitely fake and it was her American accent she was faking in order to keep in character. Even with a fake American accent it sounded just as darling as it was with her British accent.
Nikkopaw stared at the other apprentice for a long time before shrugging, "I thought it would be a self fulfilling prophecy if I told Bloodyrondo so I was just going to keep it to myself, follow him around, and save him when the time comes, but sure. We can experiment with his life I suppose. I'm still not letting death take him, if I can't die then neither can he," the blue grey tom said and for the first time had some actual emotion in his voice, granted it was annoyance mixed with a bit of amusement, but at least he didn't both look and sound like a zombie. Nikkopaw padded up to Bloodyrondo, "I heard from a cat who can read into signs and prophecies that you're going to die. I think this is your fate, but I think I can save you from it. So I'm-" Nikkopaw caught Bloodyrondo's gaze and for some reason something inside of him made him double back as his heart turned hot, "Totally joking, you got pranked. But if I randomly follow you around it's definitely to try to psyche you out... Ha ha," He said with the most fake laugh possible.
DAYCLAN
"I mean half the time at most three clans talk about their month and then the rest just start randomly leaving so I guess we could try. Hi everyone, Glowstar here for another segment of, what's up in DayClan? In DayClan it's been absolutely boring, no wars, some new kits, no new apprentices, yet cause I'm going to promote them tomorrow. Um let's see, what else."
"You broke up with Deal!" Fuzzyheart shouted out helpfully.
Glowstar gave an unhappy look transforming it into a why-not? expression, "Yeah that. And uh spoiler alert, Foxstar's not leader anymore so DayClan's had no conflict, which is wonderful!" She said kicking boredly a few scraps of bark off of the tree, "No heavy snow so we haven't had to move our camp out from the open and into Keepers Mansion so I guess everything's just super happy, perfect, and wonderful. I'm so glad Foxstar's Foxbane now and doesn't get to ruin things," She said with a smile that was hurting her face. Spelling it out, she hadn't realized how bored she had been for so long. She had been a good leader keeping DayClan safe, but at heart she couldn't stop the instinct and nature of who she was and it was a half renegade half league cat who thrived off of chaos. Without it life felt like it lacked purpose. Was Foxbane really her purpose? She always thought that there were other arch nemesis out there that meant just as much if not equal to Foxbane. When did Foxbane become so much more special in her life than the rest?
Flamingstar listened to Glowstar's announcement before stepping forward herself. "All is well in Nightclan. I have become the new leader of Nightclan and my deputy is Firewind." She let the crowd give their congratulations to the new deputy. "I also would like to invite every group and clan to my camp for a party four sunsets after the winter solstice."
"Oh, he sure didn't fight that at all..." Bloodyrondo mumbled as he turned away from his father. He had barely taken a step before a swarm of she-cats showed up and started fighting about him? With him? It was hard to tell, but it left the ginger tom with a sour taste in his mouth. Some cat the great Funk E'tan was.
Still distracted by the commotion he was leaving behind, the ginger tom nearly stumbled into Nikkopaw. He'd told this cat to scram twice now, yet here he was, still tailing him like a lost kit. Bloodyrondo lashed his tail and was about to make some snide comment when the other tom started rambling about an obviously made-up prophecy. It really dampened his anger; Nikkopaw was making himself an easy target and there was no fun in fighting a cat who set himself up to and wanted to lose,"Really, a SunClan cat dying by falling off a cliff? Our camp is literally a cliff. I'd be the laughingstock for generations if that was how I met my demise. Be more creative next time. And also.. I don't need you to watch out for me. I'm one of the Sun's chosen."
He lowered his tail and grinned, adding, "Won’t Raspberrypaw be jealous if you spent all your time with me, anyway?"
