In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.

Leatherstar waited for his apprentice. He had thought it would help the clan open up a bit to him if he had taken on an apprentice. He had chosen Twilightpaw out of the few apprentices WinterClan had left. She seemed like she had some issues she needed guidance to work out. Maybe his extensive experience would allow him to help her. His brown pelt collected stray winter flakes as he patiently waited.
The sun was high in the sky, which meant Twilightpaw was expecting the worst. Every little rustle she heard as she made her way to the meeting spot made her heart skip a beat, though she showed no outward appearance of her fear. In fact, she was softly humming a small tune when she spotted Leatherstar, and only then did it occur to her that she could possibly have been late. Although the happy tune cut out once she bounded to his side, it had done its purpose of distracting her. Now, she smiled cheerfully up at her mentor, as if forgetting that she should show respect to the leader of the clan. "I'm so sorry, I'm late aren't I? I lost track of time."

"No need to worry. I was early." he replied rising to his paws. "Come along. We have a lot of territory to cover. Make sure everything is where it should be still." he purred flicking his tail for her to follow. "How are you today Twilightpaw?"
Releasing a small sigh, Twilightpaw easily fell into step with Leatherstar. "Great!" she lied smoothly, her sparkling eyes landing on him. "There was a small panic when I woke up when one of the other apprentices claimed there was a mouse in their bedding, but it turned out to just be a clump of fur."
"Or that he was afraid of it!" Twilightpaw laughed "I think if it was me, I would have eaten it." Mouse was her favorite food, and luckily it was one of the more common ones. Then, she remembered that the mouse had just been fur, and she scrunched her face in disgust. "That would be an embarrassing hairball."

At that last part Leatherstar gave a heart laugh imagining the small she-cat trying to pass a hairball. He bemusedly padded along beside her. "Lets go across the Swallowing River and head for the old camp. When you get there we can do some hunting." He hadn't realized he had forgotten to eat and with the way Twilightpaw had been scurrying to be on time he doubted she had eaten either.
At the mention of food, Twilightpaw's stomach gave an embarrassing rumble, and her face was suddenly warm with a flush. "Is the old camp far?" she asked instead, hoping that Leatherstar would choose to ignore her stomach. Then, her eyes widened as the first part of what her mentor said registered. "Cross a river? Are there stepping stones, or do we have to swim?"

He chuckled. "There is a fallen tree across the river. Don't worry I won't let you fall in." he purred. "The old camp is at the bottom of the mountain in a small hollow. Its a little bit of a trek but its good for us to get moving."
With that, Twilightpaw sped up her pace slightly, still retaining a small skip in her step. "I'm so glad I don't have to go for a swim today. I don't actually know how to swim, so that would be rather embarrassing. And now I just admitted that aloud, didn't I? I'll have to practice swimming in secret so you can forget about that."
