Not even a few shadows lengths after Mistyveil had addressed him to retake leadership of WinterClan Leatherfern had trotted from the den, sending his nods of acknowledgement to those who had gathered and leapt up onto the rock. His large dark brown form stood out starkly against the white WinterClan landscape. "Let all cats who can face the cold on their own gather here for a clan meeting!" he called out his deep voice ringing across the mountain side. Emerald green eyes taking in motion as cats began to emerge from frozen dens at his call.
He waited till movement stopped and scanned his emerald gaze across the faces of those gathered. No patrols had been sent out yet so those who gathered, such a small number, were all the clan had left.
"It is good to see so many familiar faces. Despite the moons that have passed. I commend you for your resilience in the trials you have faced since my exile began. I never thought StarClan would lead my paw back to my home but here I am before you." He had managed so far to keep his voice even and he was pleased with himself. "It has been brought to my attention that WinterClan is without a leader or a deputy. It seems StarClan did not simply bring me here for a casual visit. I will reclaim my place as your leader and we will carve WinterClan's name back into the minds of clans across the territories. WinterClan is not weak and will be reminding any who seem to think so that they are wrong." His tail lashed behind him sending loose snow into the air like a white misty cloud. "But I want to lead differently this time. With StarClan as my guild and all of you at my side not behind me. I want to star my leadership with humility because last time I failed you all by worshiping false gods who demanded the sacrifice of our own for repayment. Never again. I swear to you WinterClan need not fear my decisions from now till I lose my last life. Stand with me and take back the name of WinterClan."
He allowed murmuring among those gathered for a few heart beats. "I leatherstar am honored to be once again the leader of WinterClan. I ask you all to welcome Frozenrequiem," he paused his bright eyes landing on the long furred she-cat he had just met that morning. He was more than sure of his decision. "as your new deputy."
As voices rang out Leatherstar leapt down from the large stone to enter the throng of gathered cats that were now his responsibility.
Ah, this was something familiar to Glaniur. Throughout his wandering, he had witnessed many leaders rise and fall, including himself. Though, he had never bothered with a speech of any kind, especially not one so religious. As soon as Leatherstar leapt down, Glaniur turned to leave the gathering. It was time for festivities and conversations now, and that was something he wasn't too keen on participating in. No, he would much rather quietly keep an eye on everyone, seeking entertainment in his own way.
Snowhowl found that he couldn't care less about the leader himself. Though, he was happy about something else because of the new leadership. He turned to Peachblossom, as he always made sure he was by her side, and smiled. "I hope this means we don't have to worry about Dappledpaw and Speckledpaw as much." If they were in good paws, then he could rest easy.

Peachblossom nodded to her mate in agreement. "Yes I do feel this is going to be a better environment for them as they grow. But only time will tell." murmured as she cast a glance towards their kits. Dappledpaw was nudging her sister excitedly in the shoulder as she tried to reach the new leader through the crowed.
Frozenrequiem watched as Leatherstar exited the den, striking amber eyes following his movements as he jumped upon the rock. Her gaze met his emerald one for merely a moment, and ask he began to address the clan, the fairly large she-cat took her place among the crowd. Of course, she sat in the back, as always; away from the others and away from being picked out of the crowd. But, that didn't stop Leatherstar.
As her name rang out over the gathering of the cats, Frozenrequiem froze. No, no, what are you doing? She spoke in her mind. Though on the outside she appeared calm and collected, on the inside, she was freaking out. Her? Deputy? What in StarClan's name was Leatherstar thinking? She didn't even know most of the clan's names, and now here she was, being forced into a role where she would have to socialize with others.

Freckledpaw let out a soft giggle and followed her twin, weaving her lanky body through the crowd.
