Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Mistyveil, medicine cat of WinterClan, had called an emergency medicine cat gathering. Why? Because in about eleven days it would be an entire year since the medicine cats had last met. No one could truly peg why they stopped meeting up, it seemed they all at once decided they were busy. While some tended to visit each other they hadn't met up in a group setting. She wondered how many medicine cats could even say they went to a half moon gathering before. She knew Flyingpaw was still around as Flyingcolors, but was Graythorn, Fawnheart, or Coyoteloyalty even around anymore?
For her to be completely honest with herself, deciding to bring back half moon gatherings herself seemed like the poorest timing she could have come up with. WinterClan was leaderless and because of it she was trying to organize hunting patrols and run the camp herself, but the stupid furballs kept getting injured. But that was also why she was here, she needed StarClan to send her a sign about who the new leader should be. Then and only then would she choose a different cat who was absolutely opposite of what StarClan wanted because she could hardly trust any afterlives anymore. Well it was poor timing because of that, but also because she was close to giving birth any day now. However she couldn't ask her medicine cat apprentice, Cinnamonpaw to lead a half moon gathering when he'd never been to one.
Her half golden peach fur, half blue grey head looked around the surrounding area to see who was showing up thus far.
Bouncing behind his mentor, Cinnamonpaw was loaded with questions, questions that he let spill regardless if he annoyed his mentor. “Mistyviel, why haven’t we had a half moon gathering in a while? What about the the medicine-cats of those clans and groups that don’t believe in StarClan? Oh, and are you okay?” He stepped into pace beside her mentor, checking her over. Was Mistyviel capable of taking care of herself? Yes, of course, she was very experienced after all. But did that stop Cinnamonpaw from worrying? Not at all.
“Yknow I’m really excited! I haven’t really talked to the cats from other Clans.” He purred.
Smokecloud of Springclan padded up to join Mistyveil. He was considering stepping down. Fawnheart had returned to Springclan after Eternalstar had sent her to stay with Fallclan and he was considering letting her take back her position. However, as of right now, he stood before Mistyveil, dipping his head respectfully. The moon gave his Smokey grey fur a silver glow, making the burn scars on his face much more noticeable while his amber eyes blazed. Although he looked intimidating and often had a short temper, he was actually quite a pleasant and respectful tom. "Hello, Mistyveil, isnt it?" He slightly remembered her from the gatherings.
Brakewings trotted toward the group, excitement and nerves burning in the pit of his stomach. It would be good to see his spirit guide again and make sure he was on the right path, and to meet the other medicine cats. He hadn’t been medicine cat apprentice very long and still held the toned physique of a warrior, and carried himself like one as fell, elegant and proud and confident.

Flyingcolors padded along just beside her apprentice, Brakewings and smiled widely as the other medicine cats came in to view. Her kits were old enough that she really didn't need to find much in the way of a sitter and she was excited to mingle with her fellow medicine cats outside of the gatherings - it had been a while since she had even been to a full moon gathering as well. "Mistyveil! It is good to see you. Cinnamonpaw, you are getting bigger every day!" She purred at the two. Mistyveil was one of the few other medicine cats who was also a mother that she knew of so she felt a special bond with the winterlclan healer. She blinked politely at the third, unfamiliar tom. "Hello, I don't believe we have met but you are Springclan's medicine cat, no? Is everything alright with Fawnheart?" She hadn't been close to the springclan medicine cat but she could not help but wonder if something had happened to the gentle she-cat.
Smokecloud returned Flyingcolor's polite blink. "My name is Smokecloud. I've been Springclans medicine cat for several moons now. Fawnheart is okay. She spent some time with Fallclan when they had their green cough outbreak. She has returned to Springclan but is currently caring for kits." The smokey gray tom explained.

Her eyes widened surprised by the news. "It's nice to meet you Smokecloud. That's wonderful! I'm glad to hear that she is doing well and it sounds like she's quite happy. Do give her my greetings the next time your see her. Maybe I'll bring my kits by for a play date sometimes." She purred.

An odd shaped cat creeped his way out of the shadows, his most prominent feature was his bright yellow eyes that seemed almost as bright as the moon itself. His black and white fur was extremely thin, so that you could see his muscles sliding over his thin boney frame as his moved. His overly large ears and eyes stood out against an otherwise wispy and angular body. Turbulentsea was the new medicine cat of NightClan, having only been promoted a moon or two prior. He had never been to a half-moon gathering before, but the two cats who had helped him along his path had encourage him to attend with his apprentice so that they could exchange information, and make friends with the other medicine cats. Thus far he had mostly kept to himself, but with leafbare fast approaching it seemed best to make connections sooner rather than later. He emerged into the clearing, eyes scanning to see if there was anyone that he recognized.

Following her mentor closely Littlepaw tried to push down the nerves bubbling within her, she had not been a medicine cat apprentice long and the last thing she expected to happen so soon was this. She hadn't even considered a half moon gathering, meeting with all of the other medicine cats made her feel small, what if they laughed at her because she was so young an inexperienced? As they came into view her deep blue eyes moved between them, taking in each cat now before her as they spoke to one another. Her dark ginger and white laced pelt tingled as she moved her small frame forward, not daring to leave Turbulentseas side.
“I—oh, yeah, I guess.” He smiled bashfully at Flyingcolours, shifting his paws. Giving a respectable nod to each healer as they arrived, he curiously eyed the apprentice. “Hi, I’m Cinnamonpaw.” He greeted, stepping up to meet her. Cinnamonpaw knew he had to branch out eventually, and what better way than making a new friend who shared his passion. “I’ve never been to one of these meetings before, I hear they haven’t had one in a while. I wonder why.” He spoke softly, his voice smooth like honey and somewhat high-pitches.

Little paws gaze fell upon the other apprentice as he approached, she knew this was a time of peace and normally the medicine cats lived by a slightly different and more peaceful set of rules but being new to all of this she showed hesitation in replying. Giving her mentor a quick glance she took in a breath and smiled before speaking. "This is my first one too, I havent been an apprentice very long. I'm Littlepaw." She introduced herself, still slightly uneasy as she didn't know what exactly to do.

Honestly Turbulentsea was rather nervous himself, although he hid it well. He tapped her shoulder and nudged her foreward with his nose to meet the other apprentice. They were not in any danger here tonight, and he was just glad that Littlepaw had not had to make the first move.
“Oh! That’s a nice name!” Cinnamonpaw smiled widely, lifting his sleep tabby tail. “Over there is my mentor Mistyviel,” he directed his gaze to the half blue-half cream molly, “but I don’t know the rest. Except Flyingcolours, of course. That’s DayClan’s medicine-cat.”
"And I'm Brakewings, Flyingcolors' apprentice." With a warm smile the ginger tom strode between the other cats to stand beside Cinnamonpaw and welcome the NightClanners. He had seen them once or twice before at pride meetings but hadn't really paid them any attention, and he doubted any of them knew who he was. He had been just an apprentice then, an ordinary cat on the surface, nobody to see or remember.
Yumemi-kepa padded up to the group, growing more and more nervous by the second. She wasn't sure if her mentor Pluto would be showing up, but she had decided to make the trip without telling him, so one way or another he was probably going to yell at her. Still, she was excited to meet some of the other medicine cats; her knowledge of the other Clans' healing staff was pretty miserable, apart from some base knowledge of the medicine cats in the pride Clans.
"Hi, guys!" she chirped, though she hung back a little from the rest of the crowd. She'd learned the hard way that cats didn't like it when she barged into the middle of their conversations. "Oh god, there's so many cats here that I don't know. I'm gonna faint. Or explode from excitement. Or both."
"Remember when I told you about the things that shall not be named?" Mistyveil whispered to Cinnamonpaw, "It was a hard time in life and I didn't wish to go to the half moon gathering and apparently no one else did either. Although having you in my life has made things better. I know you got a ways ahead of you, but I'm sure after tonight you'll feel more than ever closer to getting your medicine cat name. I hope it's Cinnamonbear," She purred which was rare for her to make any happy noise at all.
Mistyveil dipped her head to Fawnheart and raised her head in greetings to Flyingcolors, the only medicine cat she really visited anymore and the only one that Cinnamonpaw knew about unless he was sneaking out and secretly meeting with others.
"Brakewings, huh?" Mistyveil asked studying Flyingcolor's apprentice, "Impressive that you have your medicine cat name."
She rubbed the side of her stomach gently, StarClan blessed WinterClan with her big litter sizes, but definitely not herself. Her last litter had been one kit and it was beautiful, but now she could tell this was going to be her biggest litter yet. The only problem was that she was a medicine cat and while she felt Cinnamonpaw would be capable of handling it she was worried that the awkwardness of his presence during the delivery might get in the way of their practices. Which was why she was planning to get help from someone else.
Rosemarysun hopped down, her thick, calico pelt parting the tall grass around her as she settled in with the others. She hadn't been Medicine Cat long, so this was the first time she had ever met the others. The MoonClan medicine cat nodded to the nearest of the others and then turned her head, green eyes peering through the foliage for her apprentice, Lavenderpaw.
Stepping back beside his mentor, he nodded in understanding. “Oh, I get it.” A light happiness settled in his chest at her words. He’d made her life better? “Cinnamonbear is a nice name.” He let out a joyful laugh. Reminding himself to keep a close eye on Mistyviel—even though he knew she was very capable—he couldn’t help but worry about her. He wondered what her kits would be like. Would they like him?
Snapping out out of his thoughts, he turned to the new arrivals. He had half the mind to yell ‘oh, hi!’ but had decided against it. He didn’t want to be too annoying.

Littlepaw was beginning to relax a bit, but with more cats arriving she stayed close to Turbulentsea. She didn't know any of them truly, having never spoken to another medicine cat before she was unaware of their personalities. "Turbulentsea, why did the medicine cats stop meeting at the Half moon?" She had tried to keep her voice low so only he would hear her question but as soon as the words left her mouth she realized she had spoken louder than she intended to.
