Cavernkit grinned as he watched his parents bicker.
"I told you already. They would be just fine outside the camp! You should know that as well as I do!" Pygmyprawn griped at the large brown tabby that stood across from her. "No, they're still too small. You know how many loners got in trouble being out alone? Much less kits?!" Wright countered with a huff. Even though they weren't together, the two continued to raise the kits equally. It made Cavernkit happy to see them communicating with one another, even if it was tense.

Seakit sat at her brothers side watching as their parents fought, it was still upsetting that they were not together but she was learning to deal with it as she grew older and with each passing day it bothered her less and less. "I wonder if they know we can hear them." She mewed half to herself and half to Cavernkit, her eyes not once leaving the forms of her mother and father as they stood gazes locked in argument.
Treasurekit, next to his siblings, was turned on his back, yellow eyes looking up into the bright blue, summer sky that was above him, tiny black paws curled at his chest as he listened to his parents argue. The fact that they were not together didn’t bother him, but he hated the arguing. It made his stomach twist in knots and his head hurt. So he chose to ignore it, looking up at the sky. “The one kind of looks like a fox,” he stated to Cavernkit and Seakit, pointing up at the oddly shaped, puffy white cloud over his head.

Seakit turned her head towards Treasurekit with a smile, her thick black pelt swaying lightly as she moved. "A fox huh?" She purred looking up at the sky, the clouds all looked the same to her, giant puffs of white. "That one there?" She asked lifting a paw to point at one of the masses, her head tilting to the side as she tried to see the hidden form.

Pygmyprawn felt her cheeks grow hot as she overheard Seakit's statement. "Ah, sorry." She mumbled before stalking off. Right before she was out of earshot, she glanced over her shoulder and meowed, "I'm going on a hunt."
Cavernkit's face fell a little as their mom headed out without them. "Aw, I was hoping we could see a real fox." He sighed, winking at his siblings. "So now what are we supposed to do for fun?"

Seakit watched her mother turn and leave, she let out a sigh and stood up beside her brothers. "Well there's no point in us wasting time sitting here, obviously we aren't spending time with mom." She looked in the direction their mother had gone then turned to set her gaze on Wright, would their father decide to go off too or would he stay and attempt to spend time with them. She didn't like it but spending time with their parents was best done when the two were not in the same place, it always seemed to end in fighting when they were together.

Wright shook his head as Pygmyprawn left the camp before he turned to look at Seakit. "Don't worry about her. She loves you all very much." He meowed awkwardly, trying to reassure them. "She's just not good at...expressing it. How about we go out by the waterfall? I can show you how to swim in the shallower parts."
Cavernkit's moved to stand by his sister, unsure if Wright was telling the truth or not. Surely he was. He would just have to believe his dad. "Yeah! Then maybe mom will join us when she gets back." He purred.

Seakit hide the doubt she felt, turning her green gaze away from her father. His words didn't do much to comfort her fully though, for the sake of her siblings she smiled and nodded. "Let's try and have some fun." She forced out a purr and gently touched Cavernkits shoulder with the tip of her tail, she didn't want to disappoint him by mentioning their mother probably wouldnt come.
