Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Cleaver Doestar smiled, caught off guard just as much he always was by Chim’s voice so close beside him. It made his chest tingle and his face flush; there was something so intoxicating about forbidden things. He let out a soft laugh at the nickname and glanced at the other leader with a small, mock-reproachful smile. “I don’t think I’m missing out,” he replied quietly, heart skipping wildly at Chim’s sidewards glance; it was so brief, and intimate, and full of meaning, and Doestar forgot for a moment that there was any kind of drama unfolding around them – it took everything in him not to melt into a gushing mess and throw everything to the wind and ask Chim to run away with him then and there. Instead, he forced his attention back to the swarm of cats and flicked an ear.
“How can they be celebrating?” he exclaimed after a moment, genuinely dumbfounded and sounding more like an inexperienced kit than a leader. He’d never had much interaction with SunClan beyond rumours and mockery of their cultish lifestyle from the safety of beyond their borders, and now he was unnerved by their joviality – their victory – in the face of such confusion and fear. He caught Mother E’tani looking at him and glanced away guiltily, hoping beyond hope that she and Sigmund wouldn’t come over to speak to him.
PRIMAL INSTINCT
Faith Eshek was about to answer Innocentia, mouth open in a sharp, teasing grin and paw raised to bat at her, when Lucistic’s voice made her look over her shoulder. She smiled up at him, so used to seeing him in everyday life that she didn’t stop to consider the fact that he hadn’t been on the Primal Instinct patrol that she’d snuck out after; the smile faded a moment later at the sight of his fear. “What are you doing here?” she asked, trying to keep her voice playful as she clambered to her paws and gave him a nudge. “And why do you smell like that?” She frowned at him, still forcing a smile; something was wrong, but she trusted and cared for him too much to immediately condemn him.
"Autumngossomar" Windchaser greeted through gritted teeth. She about jumped out of her fur when Glowstar began enjoying herself, getting all excited about this gathering. Anger bubbled up beneath her. She couldn't contain it anymore. "Are you freaks serious right now? The moon is missing! What is wrong with you?" She flexed her claws, flicking her tail. "This could be a bad omen and you all are celebrating?"
Hurrying his way into the Gathering place, Shadedstar has quickly gathered his Clan at the news of this emergency meeting. Out of breath from running, afraid of being tardy, he paused for breath. He, too, had noticed there was no moon and it immediately sent chills down his spine. Where has it gone? Why was it gone? Good reason to hold an emergency gathering. Scouting out the other leaders, he made his way up to Doestar and took a seat beside him.
“Did I miss anything? Am I late? Oh StarClan I’m probably late!” He took a deep breath, shrinking his head down until he could really smell the cherry blossoms on his stone collar. “Wonder where the moon went?”
PRIMAL INSTINCT
It was a sign! The ghosties had done this! The world was ending! It was starting! Exsperavit usually didn’t attend gatherings—he wondered why, it was useful for spreading the word of the worlds demise and ultimate rebuild—but this one was extremely important. “It’s coming! The end is starting! The tunnels aren’t even done yet, how will we survive the floods? The floods and the fire?” He yowled, running up to as many others as he could to share the news. “The moon is gone! The moon is never coming back! Most of you will die—I can sense it! You have evil in your hearts. Yes, yes, you will perish.” He jerked his head suddenly, bending to the ever growing bald patch growing on his back—starting at the base of his tail—and chewed at it. Nibbling at the hairs, not caring whether they went down his throat. “Don’t worry, those who survive, I will push the sun back soon enough. Then the moon will return.” The panic made his heart jump in his throat, and for a moment he wondered if he would join the ghosties once again.
“But Mother, I am blind! How else can you explain the moon not being in the sky? THE SPOOKS ARE THE CAUSE, MOTHER! THE SPOOKS!” His voice was shrill and panicky as he kept his eyes tightly closed. When he didn’t receive a response back his heart skipped a beat. “OH GOD THE SPOOKS GOT HER! AND THERE IS NOTHING I CAN DO ABOUT IT BECAUSE I AM BLIND!” His yowl pierces the air and he continued his terrified yowls of being blind until finally he bonked into someone. “OH GOD THE SPOOKS ARE HERE TO FINALLY FINISH ME OFF!” He slowly opened his eyes, shivering slightly and then quickly relaxing when he realized it wasn’t the spooks at all but rather a she-cat who smelled of Sunclan that he had ran into sitting alongside Commander Mars and Glowstar. There was also his best friend, the best cat in the world, Mother E’tani. “Hello! I am Sigmund, warden of Primal Instinct, and Mother’s protector from the spooks!” He beamed a smile, as if he was actually a competent warden, and then began to bite at a balding spot at the base of his tail before realizing he hadn’t showed this Sunclan cat any respect. After all, she must be important to be talking to the leaders of Renegade Regime and DayClan. He straightened himself and took his back leg to scratch at the balding spot behind his ear as he talked. “And I know exactly who you are... yes, you’re pretty important after all, because you’re talking to Glowstar and Commander Mars... so I mean how could I not know who you are... um... uh...” he was visibly panicking before a sign of recognization spread across his face. “Yep! Nice to meet you, Foxstar!” He finally said clearly proud of himself for remembering, even though this was clearly not Foxstar.
Doestar forced down the sinking disappointment as Shadedstar sat beside him, immediately feeling guilty and offering him a big, cheerful smile to compensate. He’d wanted some time alone with Chim, yes, but the SpringClan leader was his friend and he wasn’t going to be mad at him for unintentionally ruining their secret end-of-the-world, middle-of-the-apocalypse date. With a quick, apologetic glance at Chimerastar and a gentle touch to his side with his tail, he turned back to Shadedstar with a bright smile and shifted slightly closer to the WaterClan leader on his other side. “Not much — SunClan is celebrating, Glowstar is glowing, the world is ending—“ He watched Exsperavit as he rushed past, smiling and nodding along. “That guy’s got the right idea. I’m just sorta chilling and hoping for the best.”
It made his heart pang a little to see his old leader, Burningstar. He glanced around for his brother hopefully, wanting to see that he was safe and unharmed, but couldn’t see him. It was getting darker — the sky was black and endless above them and he felt himself shiver with fear, leaning in to press his side briefly against Chim’s; it was too dark to see, anyway.

Eshek batted Sigmund with her forepaw as the Warden flitted past screeching. “Will you shut up?” she snapped.
"Ick. Well we're trying too," Autumngossamer said back to Windchaser.
She turned to look at Snowflight, "HEY! GO CRAWL BACK IN THAT HOLE YOU LOOOSER!"
Autumngossamer gently blotted her forehead as if that really worked her up, "Sorry you had to see my like that Wind, it just really bothers me when people betray SunClan. I mean, obviously, I literally like k- ki. KITCHooo..." She had wanted to say kill, realized she shouldn't, decided to go with a different word that started with k, but couldn't think of one and instead decided to fake a sneeze to cover up her misuse in words, "Point is Wind, it bothers me, it kind of hurt when DayClan assimilating to SunClan didn't work, but I get it. In the end we're probably stronger for it. You guys are good at making friends, we're good at using the friends. We just make a pretty good team all in all."
"I'm gonna go find a victim, I'll drag them back your way when I find whoever I'm looking for," Innocentia said stalking off, but in reality she just stayed out of Lucistic's line of vision and crept back over to observe where Eshek could see her, but Lucistic couldn't.
"Hey! Avoid blue, tuxedo, and hot tortoiseshell cats!" Leucisticcrow called after the white puff ball, "Um. Cause."
"Cause I really like participating in random stuff, who doesn't love a good party?" He said, but already winced at lying to her, she looked at him with so much trust and he looked to her the same way! He'd feel awful inside if Eshek lied to him, it would mean he failed her as a friend for not being trustworthy enough to be confided in. He didn't want to do that to her, "No I'm lying," He admitted right away, "If you really do want to know I'll tell you, but I can't here."
DAYCLAN
"Oh thank God, a distraction. Hello there Sigmund, it's amazing timing to meet you. Mars, this is your new best friend, Sigmund cause he seems like a guy that'll keep you busy and Littlebird annoyed enough to stay far away from you," Glowstar introduced.
"We will never be a team" Windchaser growled, narrowing her eyes threateningly. "Not after what you guys did to my clan. What you all did to me and my mate."
He startled once he noticed Chimerastar. “Oh! So sorry, how rude of me. Hello, Chimerastar, how are you?” He twitched his tail, his heart starting to beat faster. “Did I—did I interrupt something?” He asked, noticing how the two were basically touching. “I—uhm—i can go, if you want me to?” He got to his paws. No way did he want to third wheel! A bit saddened by Doestar moving away—get yourself together, he moved not even an inch. Calm down—he backed up a bit. “Let’s just hope he’s not right. He does seem like a bit of a nut job, though.” He shuffled his paws a bit. “Yeah, sorry if I interrupted?”
Faith “Have fun,” Eshek replied distractedly, voice soft and thoughtless, not taking her eyes from Lucistic as Innocentia stalked away. She was vaguely aware of the little proxy watching from behind her friend and felt suddenly protective — for the first time, she realised how dangerous Innocentia had the capacity to be, both by her own merit as a killer and through the power she wielded as proxy. Whatever this secret of Lucistic’s was, she couldn’t have Innocentia finding out.
Fear for her friend prickled through her as she felt the white she-cat’s eyes on her and she plastered on a smile as Lucistic continued, for Innocentia’s sake. “You can tell me anything,” she replied quietly, voice soft and concerned despite the forced smile. “Are you okay? Are you in trouble? Can we go somewhere, now? Away from all this? Innocentia is watching, by the way, I’m not just smiling ‘cause I’m so delightfully happy with you at the moment. Because I’m not. You idiot.” She waved at the proxy over Lucistic’s shoulder and forced her smile wider — everything’s okay, you terrifying cutie-pie, run along and please don’t dob on us, we’re friends, ha-ha.
SUMMERCLAN
@peepingpeeper “No!” Doestar replied immediately, half-standing up and ushering Shadedstar back down with his tail. Guilt looded through him at the thought of his friend not feeling welcome at the same time a thrill of fear sparked in his veins. “You’re not interrupting anything. We were just placing bets on who’s going to kill each other first.” He gestured towards the DayClan and SunClan cats and tipped his head back to Shadedstar with a warm smile, shifting away from Chimerstar and instantly feeling the loss of warmth like cold claws through his pelt. “How’s SpringClan?” he asked more gently, frowning softly at his friend. “The tide in the lake at our shared border has changed and risen — have you noticed? Something isn’t right. StarClan is angry and it scares me.” He shivered again.
Shadedstar laughed nervously and sat back down. He had barely noticed their tensions, more focused on the fact that he may have been late. “I bet on SunClan. Oh, and SpringClan is doing very well! How about SummerClan?” His tail tapped on the ground, and he instinctively nibbles on his left claws before shaking his paw and placing it firmly on the ground. “I have noticed, yeah. But why would they be angry? What did we do?” He worried. “I just...don’t really understand?”
Go to the place where cats gather. There you may find answers. His connection to the Moon God vanished. Silverstar, confused awakened from his sleep, a sort of emptiness filling him. What happened, he thought. Earlier in the day, he felt his presence but not anymore. Moon Gods's last message left him with many questions he could not get the answers to. What happened? The eternal feud between the Sun and Moon came to mind, but even if the Moon was defeated, he wouldn't vanish like this. Something is wrong. Looking toward the mouth of his den, it was darker than usual. Rising to his paws, he ventured into the darkness of camp. What was usually illuminated by lunar rays now showed nothing but shadowed forms. What little light there was came from the stars littered throughout the night sky. This didnt make sense to him, but he had to find out why it was this way. The unknown didn't scare him, but angered him. With pursed lips, he carried out his instructions and began his journey to the gathering grounds.
RENEGADE REGIME Lark exhaled slowly, counting off the seconds in her head before she spoke up. With the lack of light, she could not rely on visual cues to get everyone's attention, so she simply yelled as loud as she could. She had told Commander Mars of her plans ahead of time, and he had given her the go-ahead to address the gathering. She still wasn't sure every clan was there, but they could catch up if they arrived late.
"Um, excuse me? EXCUSE ME, EVERYONE," Lark was nearly shaking from the fear of speaking so publicly, though she was glad no one could see her face. "My name is Lark, and I am the Chaman of Renegade Regime. Before we all... um, cry, or maybe throw a party about the loss of an important celestial body, I wanted to inform everyone present that the Blind Protector shared a vision with me about this. It was short, all he said was 'The dark cry over the swallowing sun leaves thieves quicker than wolves'. That's it, and I don't know what it means. Perhaps we can all put our heads together and come up with a solution? That's everything I had to say."
Lark moved off to stand beside her mate, Mercenary Reisi, heat rolling off her ears in embarrassment. "Public speaking has never been my strong suit," she whispered, her small calico head leaned against his shoulder.
Doestar had been about to answer Shadedstar – perhaps something sombre and deep, because he really was feeling cold and on the verge of panic, or maybe something cheerful to distract the other leader, and himself from his terrible habit of blaming himself for everything that went wrong in anyone’s life; StarClan was mad? Well, what had changed recently? He’d entered into a forbidden relationship with another tom, chosen an outsider as his deputy; clearly this was all his fault – when the Renegade Regime she-cat spoke up. With a glance at Chimerastar to gauge his reaction at a member of the group he so hated speaking out of turn, Doestar turned his attention to the Chaman – and felt his stomach sink into dark, icy dread. A cold chill passed over him, sending goosebumps trailing across his skin. He still hadn’t spoken to any ancestor or god, and the thought that they could give such an omen as clear as any living cat terrified him and left him feeling small and vulnerable and like he had been cast out onto a frozen, empty sea all alone.
“What does that mean?” he whispered uselessly, eyes filled with fear and fur starting to bristle. He wondered faintly if he ought to go over to the forest leaders, but the idea was daunting and they seemed far too close-knit and familiar to possibly be much use to.

Primal Instinct + Sunclan
"Gee, they sure take their time." Unlike his compatriots, Funk had surprisingly listened to his orders. There were too many cats he knew here, he didn't wanna deal with any drama from them. He batted at his pile of herbs, trying to ignore the feeling on his fur. For behind him was Magicnight, happily painting his pelt with the symbols for outsiders. She figured he was just shy and didn't wanna join, but everyone should be in the party, no? Even if they just sat and watched. Her own orange and red paints were intricately woven in her black pelt, and she decorated the spots on Funk's fur to look like the sun.
"So, what exactly are you doing?" She could tell he was Primal Instinct, and knew his way around herbs, but that was about it.
"Just finish up and join the party, you'll know in due time." He said simply, looking at the cats he knew through the grass. Glowstar. His compatriots from Primal Instinct. Doestar.
"OOh, neat! I love surprises!" Magicnight bounced on her feet in excitement, a stripe ending up crooked as she tried to fix it. The two perked their ears as Lark spoke to the group.
"Is that what that was? I thought someone was messing with me in my sleep again." Funk sighed, finally having enough and wapping the black she-cat with his tail gently, "All right darlin', move along." Magicnight wished him a good day and skipped back into the clearing, appearing next to a random couple of cats, "Wow, wonder what that means?"
The moment Doestar’s gaze found Funk, he felt sick, the memory of the medicine suddenly as real as ever, like he’d never made his way out of that clearing and he was going to wake up back there any moment, with the rogue grinning down at him and another dose of herbs skewered on his claws. It felt unreal, something too old and horrible to be true, like a childhood nightmare growing flesh and tearing itself into the world of the living. For a long moment, he was frozen, staring in blank terror at Funk and waiting for him to fade and dissipate into the night air; when he didn’t, Doestar swallowed down another wave of terror and bowed his head, pretending he had never seen him – anything to keep Funk from strolling over and bringing more half-suppressed memories with him. Panic was as white-hot as dry ice inside his chest, tightening his rib cage and bringing with it that old, horrible thrill at the prospect of suffering.
“I’m gonna go,” he blurted out, quick and quiet, forgetting entirely about Chimerastar in his fear, and then he was gone, vanished into the trees around the gathering place. He stopped amidst the gnarled roots of an oak and sunk down to the earth, letting out painful, shuddering sobs that were all blind panic and nausea. Now he knew StarClan truly was punishing him. Why was he here? Would he have to work alongside that cat? Would he have to see him again? Was all the time he’d spent trying to recover from the fear and the paranoia and the self-hatred Funk had imbedded in him going to be for nothing? Worthless. Meaningless. Pathetic. Stupid. No wonder they hurt you. The words flitted through his head like thorns. He didn’t care if he missed the rest of the gathering. He didn’t care if he never found out the meaning of the prophecy. He just couldn’t go back in there with him.
“Hm. Doesn’t sound too good. Wonder what it means—“ Shadedstar looked back at Doestar and stopped suddenly, noticing how—how off?—he was. And after a moment he was gone. Off into the night. “Wait—Doestar!” He got up after him, chasing the other into the trees. He really shouldn’t be leaving the Gathering—it was important after all—but Doestar just seemed so—so distressed? He felt the others quick change in attitude. He caught up, out of breath. “Doestar—Doey—what’s wrong?” He took a few tentative steps forward, not sure if he should physically comfort him or not. “It’s okay—it’s okay.” He offered deciding to go and sit beside the other. He gently—cautiously—places his tail around Doestar. “What happened?” He asked quietly. “Unless, you don’t want to share. And that’s alright.”
@peepingpeeper Cleaver Doestar flinched at the nickname and the sound of his friend’s voice, hurriedly wiping his nose and turning his head away. “I’m fine,” he replied immediately, voice rough and scratchy with tears. He sniffed and tried a smile— and then Shadedstar had his tail around him, and he was speaking to him so softly, and Doestar fell apart. He shook his head, unable and unwilling to speak, and then he opened his eyes and let out his breath and he was sobbing again, uncontrollable, chaotic sobs that made his chest ache and burned his throat. “Thank you,” was all he could say, over and over and over, till he didn’t know if he was thanking him for the kindness, or the comfort, or the friendship, or none of it at all. The trees were so huge and dark around them, the sky black and speckled with a blanket of white stars and no moon. For the first time that night, as he cried his heart out in the woods, from fear and grief and resentment and so much hatred, he thought the sky looked more beautiful than empty.
When the sobbing turned to painful, uneven hiccuping, he leaned against Shadedstar and stared blankly out through the trees, uncertain whether he wanted Chimerastar to appear so he could lose himself in him or whether he didn’t want the WaterClan leader to see him like this. Right now, even with his friend beside him, he felt so lonely. Feeling like crying again at the thought, he turned his head and hid his face in Shadedstar’s shoulder. “I’m sorry,” he whispered, voice muffled by his fur. “I saw someone I thought I’d left behind in the past and it... I’m still not over it, clearly.” He huffed a mirthless little laugh. This wasn’t how he had wanted his first all-Clan gathering to go.
fox He sat there silently, patiently, while Doestar calmed himself. He gave the tom a smile, a warm, cheery grin to let him know it was okay. And even though Doestar had said he was fine—It was pretty obvious that he was not. He was more of a silent comforter, there with his understanding eyes and soft fur. “It’s fine, nothing to be sorry about. You have nothing to apologize for.” He nudged Doestar’s shoulder gently. “You know what calms me down? Flowers. Or eating, but...” He tried to lighten things up a little, try to make the other smile. Boy would he like to give this mystery person a piece of his mind for hurting Doey.
Chim stiffened as Shadedstar joined the pair, eyeing the unknown leader warily. Three was getting to be a bigger crowd than he'd liked, but he was reluctant to leave Doestar, and when their fur brushed he decided to say. It took all his willpower not to growl again as Lark stepped up and delivered some prophecy (probably made up on the spot, why would the Blind Protector care about matters of StarClan?) and clenched his jaw to stop from sneering. He was distracted by Doestar's sudden departure and jerked his head up, hesitant to crowd him when he saw Shadedstar giving chase as well... but overridden by concern, he came.
The ginger tom approached them hesitantly, glancing between the two leaders before his worried gaze held Doestar. "Dep," he murmured softly, stopping a few steps ahead of them, aching to be near him, searching his face for understanding of what had happened. He had missed all but the end of Shadedstar's speech but it was enough to remind him he was completely lost here; he couldn't help, he had no idea how, he just wanted to be close to Doestar again and hold him and make it all go away just through some unknown power of touch. He hesitated again, on the verge of doing just that, then settled for creeping closer and settling at his other side.
MOONCLAN Snowshod followed quickly after his leader, yellow eyes rounder than the missing moon and trembling with fear. Where had the moon gone? The Moon God had been the one guiding constant in his life, the light he could always look up to and count on support from, and now it was gone and it was dark and he was numb and lost and still in shock that he could even walk without his friend in the sky.
Mars had turned his smile on Glowstar when he had seen her. He had a feeling she was trying her best to keep him from fighting with Littlebird. She honestly wouldn't have to worry about him. He had no plans of initiating a fight. If Littlebird took offense to anything he had to say then that was her problem. He would not intentionally cause trouble tonight. That was not the way the Regime operated. He did at least turn his attention away from Littlebird to dip his head politely to Sigmund. "Greetings. I see we share a mutual friend in Glowstar." He gave the DayClan leader another brief smile. "I don't believe we've properly met before. My name is Mars and I am the Commander of the Renegade Regime." He made no mention of Glowstars comment on keeping Littlebird away from him. Unlike the SunClan Priestess Promised, he had no intentions of saying anything out of the way. It would make the entire Regime look bad if he lacked self control after all. He would deal with his foreign affairs on his own and would do his best to keep the other clans and groups out of it.
Meanwhile Amnesty was frowning as she listened to her former clanmates. After a moment she lifted her head. "SunClan left me to die after the battle. Instead of helping me back to the camp I was left to bleed out. If it wasn't for Anguis and Ellison, I wouldn't even be here. I have no loyalty to a clan that would abandon one of their own." Her voice was quiet but firm. She really didn't want to cause a scene here. She shouldn't have come, but she knew she couldn't hide from SunClan forever. She did place herself beside the very large Basil however. While she could fight, that was no longer her job as she had taken on the role of a scout upon joining the Regime since they had needed more hunters to feed their soldiers at the time. She fell silent however when Chaman Lark began to speak. A prophecy? Was the Blind Protector involved? Honestly she wasn't quite sure if she would follow the Blind Protector yet but if the Blind Protector was involved, the Regime would have no choice but to help get to the bottom of this problem right?
Meanwhile, Reisi had licked Lark's shoulder. "You did fine. You may have also saved the Commander from having a confrontation with SunClan. I know he's usually pretty good with people, but I don't think even Commander Mars could put up with SunClan for an extended period of time." He offered her a small smile. "Perhaps now we can focus on what is truly important."
SUNCLAN Twilightbell frowned when Lark began to speak. She instantly turned to Littlebird and gave her a small nudge in an attempt to get her attention. This was the same message she had received from the Sun God. She just hadn't had a chance to tell Littlebird yet because of the party they had thrown for the defeat of the Moon God. Of course she also wasn't going to announce this without telling Littlebird. It would look bad on the both of them if she did.
