Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Mangopaw wasn't one of SpringClan's brightest apprentices, but she certainly was one of their most energetic - so energetic, in fact, that she'd almost accidentally killed herself in the process.
"Ugh..." she muttered, slowly blinking herself back into awareness. "...Guys? Anyone?" She slowly came back to her senses, recalling the events that had led her to her current state of lying in confusion on the ground; an overenthusiastic game of hide-and-seek-tag in a particularly dense area of the territory. She must have tripped and fallen, bumping her head - and judging by the pain in her foot, sprained a paw in the process. "...Seriously?" she called out, after a few seconds of no response other than gentle, undisturbed birdsong. "Guys, this isn't a trick so I can catch you! I really did hurt myself - ack!" she suddenly grunted, trying in vain to roll herself over and up back on her paws. "Why do I always get the most useless friends?!"
Fawnheart was out and about when she heard Mangopaw call out. She followed the sound and found Mangopaw laying on the ground, clearly in pain. She rushed over and began to examine the apprentice. "Mangopaw, are you okay? Where does it hurt?"
Mangopaw huffed as Fawnheart approached. Well, the medicine cat wasn't one of her useless friends to come offer her an apology for ditching her, but she supposed she was good enough. "...My paw," she muttered, feeling herself sag into the ground out of embarrassment and wounded pride. "The front right one, specifically. Can't move it, but I can sure feel it."
Mangopaw frowned. "....My immediate answer is no," she muttered, "but you know, I couldn't really get in a position to actually try, before. Gimme a boost!"
Fawnheart nodded and pressed her flank to Mangopaw's and began hoisting her clanmate to her paws. "Easy, now." Fawnheart grunted through gritted teeth as she helped the apprentice to her paws. "Try to balance on three paws and keep pressure off of your injured one."
Mangopaw grunted as she tried to do what Fawnheart said, though it didn't go as smoothly as either of them had perhaps hoped. "That's - ow! - easy for you to say," she hissed through gritted teeth. She eventually found herself standing on three paws, with the fourth held comically far off the ground. "I'm supposed to finish my - ack! - my training soon, is this gonna postpone it, d'ya think...?"
