Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
The golden wheat swayed in time with the powerful hot winds sending white spores of dandelions sailing across the stormy blue grey skies. Dirt devils weren't uncommon around these parts and even in the distance Glowstar's emerald gaze could catch the wind stirring hay, wheat, and dirt up into the air. The Golden Pastures of DayClan were bland most any day, but stormy days like these were the days to go out storm watching. If you were to look at her in the league and her now they were different people, yet she couldn't say herself that she truly changed so much as had tamed a part of herself that she thought was free. But under further inspection realized that to be truly free was to be able to have full control of whether she let her urges to kill loose and her mind to run rampant with deadly little thoughts. Back in Primal Instinct she called it going dark, the ability to let urges because reality and reap the souls of whoever the Nemesis pointed at. Now it was less like a switch, there was a safety involved in her violent tendencies to ensure no DayClan cats were harmed. At first she thought it made her weaker, but there was a strategy to it that she admired.
Among the howling winds and dirty skies she had not detected the approaching figure in the distance.

She was well aware of this switch. Some could control their urge to flip it. Others flipped it constantly like a really annoying kid with a light switch and you could never tell what side they were on. Mostly it was hunters or above who did, but Goldenpaw knew. Knew younglings could flip that switch, and they were worse than the hunters. No morals, no consequences; making it out of the nursery alive was a good day. Still, the switch.
She wasn't aware the cat in front of her had it. The day was winding down thanks to the storm. Despite it, Goldenpaw still went for a walk, attempting to clear her head when all it did was clutter it. Before she really knew it, she was in the fields. Looking up and around as if in a daze, she snapped out of it when a powerful gust of wind hit her. Sinking her claws into the ground, she stood back up as it passed. A white paw caught her attention in the grass, only seeing it when the grass separated with the wind. There was no other scent in the air but Dayclan, but she still approached cautiously.
The last thing she expected to see was her leader lying prone on the ground. Jumping back slightly, she not so delicately exclaimed, "Glowstar?!" A heat of embarrassment washed over her and a pit in her stomach formed, but she wasn't sure why yet.
Glowstar turned to look at Goldenpaw, "Did you come out to watch the storm too?"
Her voice was like a soft song ending in a whisper, yet resonated above the high winds clear and crisp. The voice alone was addicting enough to sit and listen to, but the storm ignited around them was even more of a show. Now the winds had hurled various tendrils of grassy strands and clumped dirt into the air making Glowstar frown. Soon a smile played at her lips once more, "Hey, if I get smacked in the face with mud you wouldn't tell anyone right?" She purred.
She spoke to Goldenpaw as though they already spent a lifetime together. There was such a welcoming aura about her that felt strange, yet honest.

Goldenpaw felt the heat fade from her cheeks, unsure how to react to Glowstar's attitude. "No, of course not." She managed to stutter out, still not entirely sure what to make of Glowstar. Ducking down under the grass and closer to Glowstar, she supposed she would stay to watch the dust storm. Never seeing anything like it, she couldn't help but let out a little 'wow' as dirt and grass danced above them in the wind.
"So what did bring you here? I think fate brought me here, I was watching a baby bird hop about and then I noticed an ant hill and I walked over to that, then I saw a squirrel running away so I decided to venture towards its old scent to see what it was running from and well. Here I am," Glowstar said with petal soft smile, "I suppose it's just a bit silly how things work out, but I think people only think they want peace until they have it. Chaos like this is far more fun. Why, if everything were as glamorous as DayClan always tends to keep itself we wouldn't be witnessing this spectacular display of disruption upon nature. It's absolutely captivating, to me at least."

She's charming. There's no denying that. Like she's drawing me in to her beautiful chaotic world.
"I... was thinking about my past. Before Dayclan. About life in the League." Goldenpaw answered, tearing away from the chaos in the air to the chaos right next to her, "Looking at this dust storm, it's like my thoughts have been given form." It was twisted and messy and it made her feel like she had a head cold. Her head was stuffed yet empty. In a way, looking at it made her forget about those feelings momentarily.
"Maybe they have given form, who's to say it's not some powerful manifestation of your feelings. Maybe you have super powers, wouldn't they be cool?" Glowstar asked absentmindedly.
She breathed out slowly watching the storm spiral in uncontrollable patterns, "I think if I had a power it might be time, I'm good at predicting things and time seems to pause when I fight. I've also just lived a very long time. Plus, they're not the type of super powers that can be proven not to be true so, I don't know, sometimes it's just fun to pretend you have a power instead of being helpless just like everyone else who's born into this world. A coping mechanism, I suppose, although I only pretend for fun, not to feel better about the inevitable chaos."
Glowstar looked to Goldenpaw, "What do you miss about the league?"

(lost this thread oops)
"Yeah, I kinda hope not though. I'd like to just live peacefully without anyone wanting me for my powers. Heh heh. But that's cool. If I had time powers, I'd just make time stop." Goldenpaw knew the march of time would never be stopped, even if it felt like it. But she'd give a lot to, to just be able to live in the peaceful moments with her clanmates, so they wouldn't have to face anything bad again. That was cruel and selfish, but it was the truth.
"Nothing and everything, if that makes sense. My life was awful at the League, I never would have made it as a Trainee, let alone a Hunter. It's not a kind place, I think Dayclan fits me better. But I still find myself missing it sometimes. Is that odd?" Goldenpaw looked at her paws, figuring it was kind of a silly question for the leader. Of course it was odd. She wondered if the dust storm would settle.
