Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
The Ceremonies went as normal, Glowstar and Rubyflame chose the apprentices to be in their battalions. Afterwards Glowstar explained that the next morning they would be visited by a StarClan cat who would guide them through training, but could only exist within DayClan's territory. Once an apprentice reached warriorhood they could no longer see their Spirit Guides.
However, three names had not been called out during the Ceremonies, Astralkit, Knightkit, and Rangerkit. Glowstar approached the three kits, "I have not forgotten to call upon you for your apprenticeship. However, last night StarClan spoke of three wise and powerful cats that they would like very much to become emissaries and those cats are the three of you. Do you accept?"

Cricketpaws eyes glowed as he was named an apprentice of DayClan, he puffed his chest out and a rumbling purr vibrated deep in his throat. He and his sister were one step closer to be warriors though they had been put in different battalions he knew they would both work hard. The young grey tom turned to retreat back to the cluster of cats who had gathered, half way there one of his forepaws caught behind the other and he tripped. Embarrassment coursing through his pelt he jumped back to his paws and moved to sit in the shadows not daring to look up in case any cat was staring at him.
The small white and ginger she-cat smiled and dipped her head once the ceremony for the apprentices was over, she noticed the three who had not been called and tilted her head to the side as she passed them on light paws, she retreated much more gracefully than her brother had and took a seat among her clanmates as Glowstar approached the three cats who had not yet been made apprenticed. Quietly she watched.
Rangerkit listened as each kit was named and received their apprentice names, he began to feel frustration as he noticed along with himself his brother Knightkit and Astralkit had also been left out. A rumble began in his throat but cut off immediately as Glowstar approached the three of them and spoke, relaying to them that StarClan had chosen them to be emissaries. Becoming one was a great honor and he was receiving it. "I accept." His voice rang clear as he answered his leader, his head high and chest out.
Rubyflame watched as her children were promoted heart in her throat. Celestialpaw would be in her battalion, she would have to take care not to grant favoritism to her daughter, and she proudly called Lightningpaw by name. Though she frowned when Glowstar left Knightkit and Rangerkit unnamed. Then as the ceremony went on it dawned on her. Could it be?
Cinnamonpaw lifted his chin, an apprentice at last, and soon to stand taller than all his fellows. He'd spent moons in the nursery waiting till he was ready to dominate as an apprentice. And now his time had come. His mother was going to be so blown away, she'd probably make him a warrior in a moon!
Knightkit tried not to shuffle his paws anxiously as every name was called that wasn't his. Was Glowstar not going to promote him? Was this punishment for his feelings of uncertainty towards SunClan? Then Glowstar addressed him, Rangerkit and Astralkit and his ears pricked forwards in surprise. Amber eyes lighting up he nodded enthusiastically. "I accept!" He said straightening up to stand tall.

Fang was hoping for things to turn around now that the kits were promoted. Equally so, he was worried. Maybe he hadn't been the best or most present father, but he did love his kits, and didn't want to see them end up in a place such as SunClan. He couldn't help but smile, a surprised, but genuine smile as two were called out to become emissaries. Even more so, the fact that both accepted make relief and hope blossom in his chest for the first time in moons. StarClan believed in them, and they believed StarClan enough to choose the path they were presented. Things weren't perfect, but it was a start.
Lightningpaw found herself decidedly uncomfortable as the events unfolded before her. She wasn't surprised by her promotion to Glowstar's battalion, was perhaps more comfortable with the SunClan/DayClan cat than with her own mother. But when Knightkit and Rangerkit were called.. to become emissaries. The she-cat found herself frowning, turning away from the leader as she continued speaking. She was trying to understand StarClan, to understand the clan of her parents when she'd learned what she had from SunClan. This? This though only served to make her feel as though her efforts to understand had been in vain. StarClan supposedly chose them, why not her too? She'd been trying, and this was her prize? Watching two of her littermates be chosen by StarClan, while she sat on the sidelines.
"Wise and powerful yada yada." Celestialpaw rolled her eyes good-naturedly- she was rather relieved to not be an emissary, as it sounded endlessly boring to her. But according to everyone's reaction, it seemed to be a big deal, so she touched her tail tip to each of her brother's shoulders in congratulations. From the corner of her eye, she watched Lightningpaw turn away, and her whiskers twitched in amusement.
"Hey, don't be so down on yourself, you aren't the only one excluded," she whispered to her sister. "We'll be kick-butt warriors together someday, right?"
