Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
(This is set just before the ceremonies. She needs her family to be supportive so this is basically her way of announcing to them what all is going on, and panicking about it cus why not lol. Ivorycrown may or may not switch clans because of this, just depends how things pan out in the thread but Amberkit will run off because he's unhappy with something so someone will need to go after him. That can be decided in the tread.)

Seablossom was shaking from what she had to say, both to the clan and her family. It wasn't something she'd felt ready for, that it was time for her to so was even more nerve racking for the poor she-cat. But alas, the task had fallen onto her shoulders. She quickly weaved her way through the crowd towards where her family was waiting for her at her new den, though they didn't know that yet. The seaform cat had even invited Crownglass, which she hoped wouldn't be a mistake as she still didn't know what they were to each other let alone what to tell her family for why he was there. She'd asked Ivorycrown to collect their younger siblings from the nursery, where they'd been playing under the watchful eye of Berryfrost.
Ivorycrown was not happy that she'd been pulled from a hunting patrol to attend a family meeting. Even better that she had to collect the brats! The nerve of Seablossom. Just because she was the oldest and the deputy didn't mean she got to boss around everyone. "Brats! Come along." She let out a little growl to let them know she meant business, earning her a glare from Berryfrost who'd been watching the little ones play with her own kits.
Cougarkit had taken a break from playing with the other kits for a while, he was out of breath and felt as though his legs wouldn't hold him up any longer. He had erupted into many coughing fits, from the cold he always seemed to have.
"Ivycrown!" He ran up to the she-cat--the one who had saved him and his brothers--and looked up at her. He was a little taken aback by her harsh words, but it he decided not to let it bother him too much. "Where are we g-going?--" He coughed aggressively--"What are we doing?"
Graykit, shivering with the excitement of his apprentice ceremony just moments away, followed Ivorycrown out of the nursery, his chin up and chest out as he tried to walk across the expanse of camp with controlled movements, not wanting to seem like the kit that he still was. When he saw Seablossom, he couldn't help himself as he jumped and ran the rest of the way to her. He grinned at her, but immediately noticed how uncomfortable she was. His grin disappeared and he tilted his head curiously.
Ivorycrown didn’t know what she was thinking that day she rescued three tom kits from the storm, but now didn’t care. Snagging her little one by the scruff, she motioned with her tail didn’t the others to follow. “To Seablossom. She’s got a something she wants to tell us.”
Seablossom wanted to wait until everyone. Less time she had to say her piece that way. Greyjit, Amberkit, Frostkit, and Wildkit would be becoming apprentices today, adults in lost eyes when it acketo the warriors’ world. They would be treated as such form here on out and had a right to know what she ahd to say. Though, she didn’t expect her sister to bring adopted ones as well. Hopefully, they’d understand what she was saying being so young.
He wiggled in Ivycrown's jaw, knowing he was almost perfectly capable of walking on his own. "Seablossom? Yay! I--" He was interrupted by a cough, "I love S-Seablossom! Maybe she wants to tell us that I'm going to become an apprentice, now?" He knew that was anything but true, of course, he was still too young. His curiosity was piqued, though, and he wiggled more in excitement. He saw Seablossom up ahead, his smile growing.
"S-Seablossom, look! I'm flying like a bird!" He coughed aggressively, flem building up in his throat. He flapped his front legs as though they were wings. "I don't think I wanna be a bird. Flying is tiring." He stopped after his legs got sore and let them hang there for a moment. "Ivycrown? Can I go down now?"
Almondrose looked up in surprise as she heard Seablossom's voice calling their family together. She had always felt disconnected from the rest of her family, and sudden announcements like this didn't do anything to help her levels of anxiety around them - although she did have to admit, watching Cougarkit playing with Ivorycrown did help settle her down a little bit. Why couldn't she be that carefree again?
She coughed lightly, hoping to catch someone's attention, but not sure if she would. "What's going on?" she asked quietly, to no one in particular.
(@trouvaille your being tagged cus of pantherkit. @oceanix, Cleaver, Whitemuzzle)
"It's Iv-ory-crown. We've talked about this. And yes, you can be down now." She was gent when setting him down, even if she wasn't gentle with her words, which seemed harsh. Ivorycrown curled her tail around her front paws, turning her attention onto her other older sister. "Your guess is as good as mine. Motherhen here has been pretty tight lipped." She shot a glare towards Seablossom, the ivory cream furred cat still hadn't forgiven her from taking in Amberkit, Wildkit, Frostkit, and Graykit. While it wasn't them taking them in part that bothered her, as she'd done the same for Cougarkit and his two brothers, it was her dropping everything for these new kits. Seablossom had done the same thing for her though and she'd watched first hand what sacrifices were forced upon the young apprentice at the time and it angered Ivorycrown to see it happening yet again.
Pantherkit was not a kitten that would have to be lifted and carried forward. He was quite capable of moving alone. The dark brown tom followed Ivorycrown quietly. When she set down his brother, the tom decided to take the nearest seat to him. He sat close enough to his brother that their furs would brush if they breathed in too deeply. He was learning that these cats, all of them, were part of the family in which he had been adopted into, but there was still a protectiveness that he felt towards Cougarkit that meant sitting close enough to jump in front of him made the young cat feel better. He tried not to think about the fact that it didn't really matter if his brother needed protecting; after all, he was just a kitten himself. How much protecting could he really do? He chose ot ignore that line of thought as much as possible. instead, he contented himself with sitting near to him and letting his gaze focus on Seablossom, who had apparently called this meeting.
Cougarkit laughed sheepishly. “S-sorry Iv-or-y-crown.” Inwardly, he cringed at his stupid mistakes. He wasn’t the best with names and words, especially if they sound close to another. He smiled at his brother as the other sat down next to him. “Hi S-Seablossom!” He sniffed loudly, shaking out his thin pelt. “Why did you want to talk to us?” Cougarkit looked around, catching sight of his brothers tail behind him. He swiftly turned and caught it in between his paws.
“Ha! Pantherkit I got your tail!” He pretended to attack it. “It’s now an enemy that I have to get rid of.”
A soft smile, something rarely seen these days, "hello, Cougarkit, Tigerkit, Pantherkit." Seablossom had fallen apart as of late. Her fur was always a mess, some was even falling out. Her eyes were dull and she rarely smiled. Life was stressful for any cat, but the tasks of late were becoming too much. How did one handle losing their father, adopting their kit aged siblings, finding a mate, their uncle mysteriously disappearing, the leader mysteriously disappearing? How?? It was all too much. Ivorycrown had scolded her a few days ago about taking on to much, about worrying so much, but she'd barely listened. Seablossom had been far too wrapped up in locating their leader, to the point she'd shut down and shut out everyone else. She'd lost weight because of the stress, the worry.
"Yes, I...I have some news. I'll be announcing it to the rest of the clan next, but I..I wanted to tell you all first." She had so much to tell them. They didn't even know she'd taken Crownglass as her mate, another reason Ivorycrown was giving her the stink eye at the moment, probably furious that the tom was here and having no idea why. Add onto that the news about SOlsticestar, her change in position, the kits' promotion.
Graykit saw how tired Seablossom was, his tabby-striped ears dipping back on his head, his blue eyes concerned. "Seablossom.... Are you... Are you with kits?" He asked shrilly, his tail puffing out in alarm. In his young mind, it was the only possible answer to why she was so tired. He saw how tired Ivorycrown got with Cougarkit, Tigerkit, and Pantherkit, and assumed it could be the only logical answer.

Tigerkit sat with his brothers and yawned. He was extremely tired even though he slept last night. Sleeping has always been one of his favorite things, he could care less on what time of day it was he would nap if he was given that chance but all the excitement of meeting kits and playing with them has made him not feel tired. He scooted closer to his brothers as he felt the wind lightly blow against his orange and black pelt. He looked up at Seablossom with his yellow fiery eyes. He observed Seablossom for a quick minute and noticed how tired and exhausted she looked. Is she okay? He questioned inside his head as his ears tilted back a little bit. "Seablossom you dont look so good" he then shook his head "I-I didnt mean to be rude its just" his words stuttered "Are you okay is what i meant!" he was afraid they would think he was being rude his ears dropped and his tail curled onto his paws "sorry Seablossom " he said quietly and a feel of guilt burned in his chest.
(lost I love it lol. Ask all the awkward questions. Gotta love kits!) (Cleaver @oceanix komiharu @peepingpeeper @trouvaille)
Ivorycrown's eyes widened. Kits? Kits! She's gotta be joking right?! Seablossom could barely handle herself, just look at her! There was no way she could be taking care of kits ontop of everything else she was doing. The mere thought spurred anger to rise, a fire to burn deep in her belly. If that was the case than her and Crownglass would be having a talk, a nice long talk. One the tom surely wouldn't like. The ivory furred she-cat lashed her tail back and further, make clear her anger along with the glare she shot Crownglass.
Seablossom blushed at the thought of being a mother, refusing to met her mates eyes. No, that wasn't what she had to say. "No, no it's...it's not kits. And yes I'm okay. Crownglass and I are mates now, but we..we're not having any kits right now." She couldn't handle it, there was no way, not even with her lover's help. Plus, she'd never hear the end of it from Ivorycrown, that she could tell just by looking at her little sister. "It's about Solsticestar."
When his brother grabbed his tail, the tom narrowed his eyes slightly. He didn't yank it away though, afraid that he would hurt his feelings. However, he managed to whisper out an, "I'm not a toy, Cougarkit," before his attention refocused to Seablossom. Why were the kittens involved in this family meeting? He couldn't say he was sure, becasue he didn't really know what was going on. It seemed important, though, right?
He had gotten lost in the thick tangled undergrowth of their territory, and his budding confidence had quickly dissolved as he found himself hopelessly confused. His medium-length dark coat caught on burrs and was ruffled erratically by the time he finally stumbled on a familiar trail and hurried back home with his catch in his jaws. He slid it onto the fresh-kill pile then loped over to join the family, quickly dipping his head to them all. "Sorry I'm late," He huffed, bowing his head once more, then sat down to listen.
(So sorry! I've been trying to get things ready both for school and vacation. And I'll be gone till next week, just a heads up!)
Thank StarClan he was here. He already knew what she was to tell the others, having already panicked about it beforehand. Seablososm took a deep breath, "I asked you all here to tell you a..few things." Making eye contact with her mate, she continued. "As I said, Crownglass and I are mates now, but that's not all. In a few moments, I'll be calling a clan meeting addressing the issue about Solsticestar's disappearance...and taking my place as leader."
Cougarkit frowned up at his brother, deciding instead to sit beside him. He bounced up as Seablossom continued. “Wow! Leader! That’s so cool! When I’m a warrior will you make me deputy? Please?” He stopped, sucking in a large breath and letting out an aggressive cough.
Nervousness flashed in his golden gaze as she told them about their relationship, but then he straightened and smiled warmly at the cats around him. He wasn't ashamed of his love and he wasn't going to act like he was. Nor did he feel anything but support for the difficult decision Seablossom had made. Taking control of a clan was difficult and a part of him wondered if she shouldn't wait, but the clan needed her. "It is cool," he agreed with a laugh.
