Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Leader. He was a leader. He still could barely believe it, but here he was, swimming through tsunamis of self-doubt and anxiety, to a point of which he dreamed about since he was a small kit. His ambitions had been satisfied and he couldn’t be happier. Shadedsu—Shadedstar, clambered his way out of his den—his very own lonely den—and slowly trotted into the clearing. A fresh new day in his fresh new chapter of his life. The air was clear with morning dew, the little droplets sticking to the blades of grass beneath his pads. It gave him an energetic buzz.
His wide yellow eyes took in the camp—his camp—and he smiled a wide, toothy smile. SpringClan was blossoming. The large tom stretched, yawned one final time, and ran his tongue through his thick black fur. he groomed for a few minutes, groomed until he was presentable enough in his eyes, and looked upon the camp again.
”Good morning, SpringClan!”
(I thought I’d start a thread with SpringClan collectively, just for fun :)

Berrypaw had been gathering most for the nursery when she head her leaders voice ring out, placing her load so it sat on her front paws she smiled a flicked her tail toward Shadestar. "Goodmorning Shadestar, how are you feeling?" There was a purr in her throat as she spoke.
Lightstep and Branchfall looked up as their leader called a greeting to the clan, his cheerful mood causing the two warriors to smile and nod before returning to their meal.
Mangopaw and Tundrapaw wandered out of the apprentice's den and into the camp at Shadestar's call. "Morning!" Tundrapaw called out cheerfully, while Mangopaw merely gave the new leader an unreadable stare before going off by herself and sitting in a faraway corner of the camp with a huff. There'd been far too much turnover in SpringClan's leadership for her, recently. Okay, so maybe four in seven or so months wasn't that bad, but still, Mangopaw couldn't shake the feeling of anxiety she inexplicably felt. Whatever, she thought to herself. I'm probably just projecting, anyway.
Tundrapaw gave Mangopaw a small confused look, before shaking his head and padding over to Shadestar and Berrypaw. Normally he'd feel self-conscious about approaching the Clan leader as a mere apprentice, but Berrypaw had gone ahead and done it, and she was an apprentice, wasn't she? "Are you nervous, Shadestar?" he asked. Tundrapaw knew he would be, if he were a new leader. Then again, maybe that was why cats like Tundrapaw didn't become leader.
"Morning Berrypaw! I'm doing great, how about you?" He smiled at the apprentice. "Weathers gonna be great today, not to hot." He commented, feeling a breeze stir his fur. He nodded his head to both Lightstep and Branchfall.
"Ah, more apprentices! Morning, Tundrapaw, morning Mangopaw." He called back. He tilted his head a bit at Mangopaw, deciding to try and talk to her in a minute. He turned towards Tundrapaw. Shadedstar chuckled and answered without hesitation, "Of course! Of course! It's such a big thing, such a high rank, it's rather terrifying. But I'm doing my best, and I'll try even harder if I have too." He glanced at Mangopaw again. "If you'll excuse me, I'm gonna go see Mangopaw."
Shadedstar approached the apprentice and took a seat beside her. "Hi, Mangopaw. Why the long face?" Of course, he didn't expect his Clanmates to immediately pour out their feelings to him, but maybe he could cheer her up a little. She seemed a bit off. "Wanna share some prey with me?" There's plenty of juicy rabbits."

Beryypaw smiled as her denmate approached and listened as he and Shadestar spoke. "I'm sure you will do a great job as leader Shadestar." There was a purr in her voice. She nodded farewell to her leader as he moved to sit with Mangopaw and she wondered why the she-cat had not come to say hello with Tundrapaw. With a shrug she picked up her moss flicking her tail in farewell to the other apprentice and pushed her way into the nursery.
Mangopaw blinked as Shadedstar approached her. "What's in it for you?" she asked suspiciously, the words out of her mouth before she realised who she was talking to. "...Um! Uh, actually, never mind. Yes, I...suppose," she floundered, cringing internally. She wasn't used to being approached by the Clan leader - or rather, she had been used to it once, and then a new leader had come along, and the attention had stopped. "My long face has nothing to do with you," she added, looking down at the ground. "...I'm told it's genetic."
He chuckled, his whiskers twitching. “Why does anything have to be in it for me? Just wanted to talk.” He felt for her, he really did. “One sec.” he got up, stretched for a second time, and came back a few seconds later with a large rabbit in his jaw. Shadedstar places it down between himself and Mangopaw. “Good, because I’m starving!”
“Genetic, you say? I always thought they were infectious, though maybe that’s just smiles?” He thought for a moment, taking a bite of the prey in front of him. Then, he smiled as wide as he could. Too wide. “There. I hope it passes on to you,” he stopped, having smiled so wide it hurt his jaw. “My mother always told me and my siblings that we project our emotions into the air, where everyone can breath it in and project their own.” He paused for a moment. “I never understood, but she was always better at reading others than me. I wonder if that’s also genetic?” He let out a laugh.
”Sorry, am I talking your ears off? I tend to do that sometimes.”
Mangopaw was unused to cats talking so much to her, but she wasn’t about to go and just say that to the Clan leader – especially while he was smiling like that. Mangopaw couldn’t tell if it was fear stopping her, or guilt. “It’s okay,” she murmured, taking a small bite out of the rabbit. "I've known leaders who talked my ear off more." For all that she'd been worried about offending the new leader, that...hadn't been a particularly nice thing to say either. Oops. "Maybe you just didn't get out enough as a kid," she suggested, digging herself into an even deeper hole. "O-or maybe you're completely fine, and e-everyone else is abnormal!" she rushed to say, taking a huge bite of the rabbit to stop her from saying anything else.
Shadedstar chuckled. “Hey, no need to be nervous. I’m your leader not a god.” He flicked his tail, took a few more bites out of the rabbit and stood up. “Well, Mangopaw, you have a good day.” He padded away, his pawsteps light with joy. The stone collar around his neck clanked every now and then. He found a particularly sunny spot and lay down. “Good spot for a nap.” He commented to himself and lay down, letting his thick pelt soak up the sun. Shadedstar closed his eyes blissfully and, soon after, entered a state of half-awake-half-asleep.
