Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
The pressure had built, and built, coiling tight in her heart and mind until it broke.
She had run, left the only place she had ever known, fled in the dead of night from cats that would kill her if they caught her leaving.
She had cried as she ran, the first time since kithood that she had shed tears. Her long cream fur had caught on twigs and thorns as she ran, the last shreds of evidence that she had ever lived in Primal Instinct.
Maybe she was losing her mind.
It was the only explanation for why she had run away. She wasn't strong enough to make it in the League, though she had been born there. Her outer shell was hard, sure, but it was brittle and cracked, only a few hits away from shattering. Kasdeya was a brutal fighter and a sharp-witted she-cat, but underneath her tough exterior her heart desperately sought affection, even as she pushed those away who would give it. Maybe it was a result of being abandoned, or of growing up alone among the brutal existence that was the League. But she couldn't take it anymore.
So she left. The only issue was that she had nowhere to go. No family to run to, no knowledge of clan politics. Would any of them take her in? Maybe she would starve to death. It might be a blessing to die young.
Before she knew it, several days had passed. She ate small prey from the territories she passed through, not daring to take much. Kasdeya had dozed off in a dirt hollow beneath a tree, curled up in a tight ball, when someone finally found her.

Palefrost had managed to slip out of camp and away from her kits for some much needed time to herself, around her the trees stood tall and the undergrowth rustled in a slow breeze as she made her way deeper into DayClan territory. Against the green around her she stood out, her snow white and cream pelt a bit outlandish in the surrounding plant life, the queen stopped and took in the scents around her in hopes of finding a meal before she headed back to her little bundles. The scent of prey did not come but instead a strange smell, she knew it was another cat but not from her Clan or any of the others.
Slowly the soft pelted she-cat followed the scent staying low and grateful that her skills had not left her, finally she spotted a lump of fur curled in the dirt under a tree and already Palefrost could see the cat was skinny and it looked as if they hadn't groomed in days. Palefrost padded up to the sleeping cat thankful she was downwind. "Who are you and why are you in DayClan territory?" Her voice was soft, there was no hostility in her tone though her eyes shone with determination, showing she was ready to defend herself and her home if it came to that.
Kasdeya's head jerked up at the voice, darting to her feet despite the quiet tone of the other she-cat. Her face turned to Palefrost, her unique eyes- one bright orange, one sapphire blue with a brown birthmark- catching on the queens. She felt half-crazy, but she forced herself to inhale deeply, steadying her shaking legs.
"I apologize. I'm merely passing through." Kasdeya spoke slowly, the terror barely contained in her voice. She knew what happened to intruders- she herself had laid claws into those who crossed the League's land. She didn't know Dayclan, didn't know their ways. As far as she knew, every place would be like her old home, taking and taking from her until she had nothing left to offer. "I mean you no harm. I'll leave now, if you'll let me."
Another DayClan cat sleeping it off, DayClan cats really had the good life. They still played like kits having moss ball tournaments, flower picking, and sunbathing. He knew for a fact other clans weren't like this, but DayClan seemed more leisurely, playful, it was what they were known for. His mom had the good life since joining DayClan and while he worked part time to help out where he could he was almost jealous of their lifestyle. Almost, after all the league let him tear people a part and had just the right kind of psychos who would beat him up and boy did he love it. He was almost going to walk past the sleeping cat when he caught her scent. His radioactive gaze haunted dark as he turned back around. He knew her well enough, she was in his district and although he should be in Primal Instinct he wasn't about to explain himself and instead decided to challenge the huntress.
"Kasdeya, what are you doing here?" Lucistic hissed before giving a nod to Palefrost, after all she knew him as Leucisticcrow, a Bright Brigade member of DayClan and didn't know of his double lifestyle.

Palefrost kept calm as the strange she-cat jumped to her paws, she could see her straining to keep calm her limbs shaking unsteadily. The white queen could tell that this frightened cat would not cause her any harm, or at least that she couldn't being in the state she was in. "I wont hurt you, what is your name and where have you traveled from?" She lifted a paw showing her claws were sheathed as she urged the she-cat to introduce herself. As she waited to hear her name Palefrost ran through the different scents in her mind trying to pinpoint the one that swirled around the stranger; it was stale.
Kasdeya had barely gotten the words out to Palefrost when Lucistic appeared, and her throat seized around her breath. Oh god oh god oh god She opened her mouth to respond but couldn't do anything but stare at him, gaping. The other queen had spoken again, and the words swirled in her brain sluggishly- it had been too long since her last meal, and she felt incoherent. Where was she from? Lucistic knew, so there was no point in lying.
"I'm from Primal Instinct. My name is Kasdeya." She responded after several heavy moments, casting a frantic glance at Lucistic that begged him not to keep asking things she couldn't answer. Would he kill her? Would he turn her back to the Nemesis for punishment?

Palefrost nodded in return to the tom, but moved her attention back to Kasdeya her green eyes showing the warmth of a mothers. "You seem to have wondered your way into DayClan territory, though I don't see how you managed you look like your about to collapse just standing there." Her voice was warm and laced with worry and with a slow gentle motion she stood and moved to the she-cats side to give her some support and try to ease her trembling. "My name is Palefrost, and that is Leucisticcrow." She introduced herself and the tom unaware that the two knew each other.
Her gaze hardened as Leucisticcrow hissed out his question and she gaze him a sharp glare. "There isn't any need to be rude, why don't you find her some fresh-kill before she dies of hunger." The words came out sharp even though her voice remained feather soft. "We can talk to her more once she is fit to do so." Palefrost placed her tail on the she-cats shoulder remaining at her side and urged her to sit.
"Hey! Don't ignore me! Heck yeah you're from Primal Instinct so what-" Lucistic said before giving an exasperated look to Palefrost before slowly turning back to Kasdeya. He saw the same thing Palefrost saw, she looked weakened and scared, but he also knew how league cats could be. They were good at faking and with the new nemesis in charge he knew she-cats didn't run away as much anymore now that the cruel rule of killing your weakest kit was abolished. Then again she was also away from Primal Instinct, a place that once killed your weakest kit so it wasn't like it was a good place to live in either.
"Yeah alright, I'm Leucisticcrow. Hopefully we can find you something to eat here," Leucisticcrow said changing his demeanor as he walked to Kasdeya's side, he wasn't about to let her out of his sight.
Kasdeya heard the calm way that Palefrost spoke to her, but she couldn't relax with Lucistic- she could have laughed at his clan name; why was he here?- by her side. So she simply nodded, sinking slowly into a seated position as the other cats brought her something to eat.
Her mind whirred through a million crazed thoughts at once. Was this a dream? How did she happen to run into another League cat all the way out here? Was Palefrost trying to deceive her to get her guard down?
Though she sat quietly, her ears turned to follow all the sounds of the forest, on high alert in case either of her companions decided to attack. She had barely realized she had been given prey to eat until she had swallowed the last bite, eating mechanically and quickly. She looked back at the two cats with her, relaxing only marginally. "What now?" She asked. "I can leave if your clan demands it."

Palefrost watched Kasdeya eat her prey in a few famished bite and visibly relaxed once she had finished, she was glad it seemed that her clanmate had calmed down a bit. "DayClan is well known for taking in strangers and you have shown no intention of bringing danger so I see no reason you should leave unless that is what you wish." Palefrost spoke her words laced with truth, many cats in the can where not born there, but welcomed by most non the less. "I am assuming you have no intention to return to your home with Primal Instinct since you seem to have left, am I correct?" She was curious as to why the she-cat left her home but kept the question to herself not wanting to overwhelm her any more.
Kasdeya couldn't go back. Even if they would let her. It would kill her. "No. I don't plan on returning to Primal Instinct," she said, casting a quick glance at Lucistic to gauge his response when Palefrost wasn't looking at her. What a precarious situation this way, unable to return and unsure if it was safe to remain. "I can... stay... for a little while, if you'll really have me." She seemed suspicious of the offer, like Palefrost was going to lead her back to camp just so she could be punished publicly. But what other option did she have?
Bobbie toddled up briskly, leaving the smell of lavender and sugarwater drifting on the air behind her. She'd heard a few scraps of the conversation at the beginning and quickly flitted off to the sheltered little garden she maintained amidst a copse of birch trees a little way from camp; now, she brushed past Leucisticcrow and Palefrost without a glance at either of them to drop a bundle of pretty yellow wildflowers at Kasdeya's paws. She smiled down at her, all air and nymphs and maternal softness, and nudged the flowers closer with her nose. "They won't do much for the pain," she told her, like she was telling her a secret, voice no more than a breathy whisper, "but I find it always makes me feel better to look pretty."
She sat back between the other two warriors, as big and fluffy as a cloud, and blinked gently at the Primal Instinct she-cat, eyes swimming with ancient streams and faerie rings. "I'm sure you'll be welcome to stay in DayClan for as long as you need," she breathed, with a soft little smile.
"Well, this is an interesting group, isn't it." The deadpan voice commented, yet another one that would send terror into the heart of the former League feline. Senescence, well, Wanderingwight currently, glanced at Lucistic, raising a brow slightly as if her brother actually knew what was going on. Doubtful, but she'd only just arrived, so he still knew more than she. She turned back to Kaseyda, offering the slightest shrug of her shoulders. From the Proxy, this wasn't exactly a comforting gesture, but she wasn't turning to head straight for Primal Instinct either. She supposed she'd just have to tag along.

Palefrost watched as more of her clanmates approached but she kept her focus on Kasdeya, even as Bobbie came up and spoke. "DayClan will welcome you, stay as little or as long as you wish." She did not know Bobbie well but agreed with her, knowing that this cat like many others would be welcome, by most at least.
Kasdeya felt like she was getting whiplash- Palefrost then Lucistic then Bobbie then of all cats, Senescence. To get over her shock, she decided to accept her fate of an eminent, violent death. Maybe it would come at the hands of the Proxy. Kasdeya gave Bobbie a nod- she really wasn't capable of manifesting gratitude, so she settled for a cordial acceptance of the flowers, pulling them closer with her long cream leg. "Thank you," she told Palefrost, the words stiff and awkward from lack of use. "Shall we all... um... go back to camp?"
"It doesn't exactly do us much good standing out here in the open, if Palefrost doesn't intend on killing you, so that would probably be the wise choice. Then Glowstar and the Council can decide your fate once and for all." There was a certain irony to all this. Not that it much mattered to Wanderingwight, and the scarred feline turned towards the camp without a fraction of a change in her expression. "Can you actually walk on your own? Or are we going to have to drag you?" Her gaze flitted up and down the homeless feline's frame for a heartbeat before she turned and started towards camp. She, like Lucistic, was of the Bright Brigade in DayClan, though she seemed to appear and disappear at random, never around for more than a day or two at a time, and rumors surrounded her like flies. Most didn't question it, however, at least to her face.
"Yeah, you want a lift? I could carry you back Kasdeya, in fact Palefrost and Bobbie, don't you want to go ahead and tell Glowstar we're coming, maybe even Flyingcolors, she might want to do a check up. Since Wanderingwight and I are Bright Brigade we can handle this," Leucisticcrow said to them with a playful wink already coming up to Kasdeya's side in support. In reality he wanted to make sure Kasdeya wasn't a spy, not just that, but she wasn't going to turn him or his sister in. A lot could happen on the way to DayClan's camp, wasn't it hawk season after all? If Kasdeya was going to rat his family out he'd make sure she never lived to tell and even if she got to be a warrior if she was being deceitful, her paws never be able to carry her far enough out of the Eerie families grasp, that he was certain of. His radioactive green eyes softened, "Come on, lean into me, Wanderingwight and I will help you back to camp," He purred.
"Oh, no, I don't mind," Bobbie replied dreamily, gaze flicking between the gathered cats and the pretty blossoms flowering in the tree above them; she'd already begun to sway and hum along to some imaginary song she could hear wafting on the warm breeze, a hymn of the faeries and the sprites. Her voice was soft and airy as she continued, not looking at any of them. "I think Kasdeya can decide for herself if she wants to stay with you or not — I think you're both lovely but you can't blame her if she doesn't. Glowstar won't mind a fig at all."
There was no malice or presumption in her voice, simply a drifting sort of misty-eyed earnestness; she truly did like Leucisticcrow and Wanderingwight, just as she liked most every else, and even if she did find their names a little difficult to pronounce. She liked difficult things, and she especially liked difficult things that didn't quite seem to belong where they were. Seeing that her offering of flowers had been forgotten, she picked them up delicately with her front teeth and placed them atop Leucisticcrow's head instead; she was just tall enough to reach, and they looked awfully pretty against his fur.
Great, she was going to be interrogated by Lucistic and Senescence. watched Bobbie with faint interest, wondering what was going on in her head. When Lucistic approached her, she recoiled very slightly. "If you're going to kill me, can you just do it now?" She hissed under her breath to him alone, ears pinned back. She hadn't bothered answering Senescence except with a short nod, signifying she could limp her way to camp. If she made it that far and the siblings didn't throw her corpse into some shallow grave.
"How about I put it this way." Senescence suggested, stepping up to Kaseyda's other side, trapping the feline between both her and Leucisticcrow. "Us three are going to have a little chat, and then we'll be back at camp to talk to Glowstar about it all. You two can let her know we'll be there soon. And in case you really are that dense, that's not a request." The Bright Brigade feline's tone was blunt, and left no room for argument. Was she part of the Immortal Council? No, but considering that the feline had casually unsheathed her claws at some point in this meeting, and that the sibling pair were among the strongest in the clan... it probably wasn't wise to question this.
