Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Seablossom was exhausted. She’d been running ragged lately. Tending to her siblings, sending out patrols, and quelling Ivorycrown’s temper. Hardly anytime to spend with anyone. But she had a break now and all she wanted to do was relax beside the water. Ivorycrown was watching their you get siblings and all the patrols had already been sent out. So she had a moment just to herself before someone else came along and asked something of her.
“You appear rather stressed.” Muddypelt commented as he padded up to the waters edge. Sitting next to the deputy the former Earthclan Leader peered out at the water. His mint green eyes looking relaxed, a rare occasion since he had been forced out of his leadership. “The water is beautiful and relaxing, it almost makes you forget all your troubles and worries. Now what is stressing you?” The black and white tom asked.
"Stressing me? Far too much to comprehend." Everything and nothing at all. The whole world seemed to rest on her shoulders and yet she was chained to the spot, unable to move. Family, friends, clanmates, duties. Seablossom struggled to handle it all somedays. Her fears overwhelmed her on others and made things impossible. "My siblings are to be promoted soon." It was a lighter note and yet one that caused her much stress.
“Ahh yes siblings. They always find a way to make our live more difficult when we are deputy.” Muddypelt commented, remembering fondly how his mother’s Radon and Cruz had adopted Volcanobird’s litter. How as a seasoned cat with the position of deputy. He in his youth suddenly in charge of protecting his much younger siblings. “I remember a time when Breezestep and I’s younger siblings were still Apprentices. Avalancherush and Twisterpaw used to cause me all sorts of trouble. And after our mothers passed away. I being the oldest had to take charge. As I was deputy at the time I always digging them out of their messes.” Muddypelt explained then turned to look at the current deputy. “It does get easier Seablossom trust me.”
“Yes, but I’m not sure when. I’ve raised Ivorycrown from kithood and now I’ve raise this litter as well.” Her father had stepped up when raising Seablososm, Almondhope, and Applecrisp. Then, he’d failed and the task had fallen to her, just as everything was and probably always would. “Now these kits will be apprentices and I don’t know what I’ll do then.” Basically her whole life had been raising kits as their surrogate mother. So now what? Sure she was deputy but this was what she was use to as well.
