Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
One apprentice gone and another to replace her. Aconiteleap had to wonder if Skypaw had thought to talk to Raspberrypaw before training today so she knew not to wake up early - Aconiteleap herself hadn't bothered to, she would figure it out soon enough on her own. It was nearly sunhigh by the time the creamy feline was ready to emerge from her den and strolled out into the open and toward the camp exit. "Skypaw, Raspberrypaw, let's go," she called, glancing around to spot them.
It was a bit strange to be going out during the day, but Skypaw was ecstatic. Sure she couldn't see the sunlight, but feeling it warm her face as she emerged from behind the waterfall made her bounce on her toes. She turned back to where she had come, sniffing the air to make sure Raspberrypaw was behind. She'd told her sister to sleep in. And when Aconiteleap had called for them she'd prodded Raspberrypaw to wake her up.
Oh well, Raspberrypaw would probably join them soon enough. She turned her focus back onto Aconiteleap. "Hello Aconiteleap! What will we be doing today?" She asked.
Aconiteleap knew it was strange to train during the day, but it was when she preferred to be awake now. Most of the clan accepted her excuse that her apprentices needed to be ready to fight any time, day or night, and they weren't up to see what she was doing anyway. It wasn't really a rule they had to be awake at night, that was just what most of them did. Just as the rules said they were allowed to have friends in the other clans, so her clan really shouldn't care what she got up to during the day anyway.
"Hunting, near the SunClan border. Anything but mice, you need practice with other prey."
Skypaw nodded, "Sounds like fun!" It would be a challenge for her, and for Raspberrypaw too she imagined. She was very familiar with the scent of mice, it made it easy for her to hunt them, than others. Rabbits were a bit trickier for sure. Trying to gauge where she was going as she chased them down.
But she was up for the challenge! Now all there was to do was wait for Raspberrypaw to join them.
"Good. Let's find your partner, then." At least Raspberrypaw wasn't up and waiting for her; either she knew when to wake up or she'd just gotten lucky.
Skypaw sighed heavily. "I thought, I told Raspberrypaw... but I guess she must've gone back to sleep." She followed after Aconiteleap hoping her sister would wake quickly, so they could get on with the training, she was eager to train with her sister and Aconiteleap.
