Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Rookback let out a loud, obnoxious yawn as he reclined casually on the top of a large boulder within Earthclan's camp, his slender black form basking in the warm sunlight. The tom normally never minded leafbare, but this past one had dragged on for so long...he was honestly thankful it was all over. Finally, the clans were blessed with warm weather, which brought with it the warrior's three favorite things in the entire world; prey to hunt, wildflower fields to run through, and the sun's fresh, bright rays to nap under. Honestly, what could be better than this? Nothing, obviously. And now that his patrols were done for the day, he was able to have the 'me time' he deserved. His momma had always told him that there was nothing wrong with a little bit of selfishness. And this cat wasn't moving from his prime sunbathing spot if it killed him.
Ivorycrown had been apart of the night patrol and somehow ended up substituting for a cat on the morning patrol too. Tried, crabby, and with a full belly from grabbing something to eat before she left camp, the warrior had made her way here. This area was usually quiet and most didn't come here during the day, but it would seem her plans to nap in the warm sun's rays was ruined. "Uggg!" How dare this tom bet her here! Fine! She wasn't below sharing. "Scoot over." She physically pushed the tom some, hoping to make space for herself, not even caring who it was that she was moving.
"W-Wha-Hey!" He hadn't noticed the she-cat approaching until she had actually shoved him, causing the warrior to nearly jump out of his seat before flailing to hold his balance on the boulder. Once he was certain he wasn't going to fall off, Rookback dug his claws into the stone; the normally cool-headed tom snapping his head to snarl angrily at the cat who interrupted his nap. "Geez, what was that for, Irvorycrown?! Forgot how to ask nicely, did ya?" Finally calming down, the tom snorted in annoyance, but after a few moments of awkward silence, he suddenly scooted over on the rock, leaving just enough space for his clanmate to lay beside him.
"I want to nap and you're going to share. Don't you know the saying: sharing is caring." With a huff, she settled into the spot she'd made for herself. Wiggling and moving until she was comfortable, the fluffy she-cat found the perfect position on her back with her body twisted in an odd way. Ivorycrown closed her eyes, ready to just enjoy the sun's warmth. Ivorycrown wasn't asking, nor was she giving him an option in sharing his claimed spot. He may have gotten here first, but she was taking a place for herself.
Rookback held down an annoyed growl as every wiggle and movement his clanmate made to get comfy happened to roughly shove him a little bit closer to the edge of the boulder again. Rolling his eyes as Ivorycrown finally ended up on her back and settled down, the tom was prepared to just lay his head on his paws and go back to his nap again. Except he couldn't. No matter how hard he squeezed his eyes shut, or shifted his position, the appearance of an unwelcome snuggle buddy had left him completely awake and uncomfortable. He glanced down at her, looking almost entirely asleep with a content smile on her muzzle.
Well, this wasn't going to stand. A mischievous grin spread across the warrior's face as looked up at the sun, and then unceremoniously stood up, tip-toeing around on the rock until his tall, lean form was completely blocking Ivorycrown's sunlight. He then sat down again, making sure that the majority of her resting form was covered by his shadow. Perfect.
Ivorycrown frowned. Where had her warmth gone? The sun's warmth had just been covering her, and now it wasn't. Peering open her eyes, she found the devious tom blocking her precious light. How dare he! This wouldn't be allowed. Two could play that game. Rolling back over, she pushed at him, shoving him off their shared rock. He wanted to act like a child than he could sleep on the ground.
