Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
The leaves were raining down around her, an array of reds and golds. Her silver and grey pelt moved like a shadow across the forest floor, her small paws making close to no sound. The irises of her eyes seemed to reflect the color of the season, a mixture of ambers and golds. Cinderthroat parted her jaws and drank in the scents around her, relishing the musky and nutty scents of leaf-fall. The fragrant scent of a squirrel danced across her tongue and scent the she-cat into a crouch. She could just see it at the edge of the clearing, on it's own hunting trip for nuts and berries to hide away in its store.
I've got you now, the grey tabby thought, swiping her tongue around her lips. Gathering her legs under her, the she-cat leapt, stretching out her claws. In a flurry of leaves and fur, her teeth met the neck of her quarry and the creature was dead. The warm tang of blood snag through her senses as the she-cat stood, squirrel in mouth.
The fluffy white shape of a passing she cat, Polarfantasy, came to a stop when she saw the catch, her features lighting up with admiration. "Wow, like, that's an awesome catch! I wish I could hunt like that, but like, I could never be that good ya' know?" The long, drawn out words rang with all the musicality of a droning cicada, and the common Earthclan accent was intermingled with something distinctly "San Fernando Valley" in nature. Somehow the compliment held not a single note of anything even remotely substantive. It was almost as if the words had never be spoken at all, it would have been about the same, though Cinderthroat would have gotten back at least 20 wasted seconds of her life.
[ whoops, sorry it took me so long to answer! got caught up with work and stuff ]
Cinderthroat looked up, a single brow arching delicately. "Thanks," she mumbled around a mouthful of fur, her tail tip twitching. Cinderthroat gave her Clanmate a once-over, wondering if she had anything substantial to say before turning away and throwing over her shoulder, "There's still prey to be caught and bellies to fill."

Completely not taking the hint, Polarfantasy continued to follow at Cinderthroat's heels in a manner reminiscent of a puppy following its new master. "Well, ya know Earthclan is like huge so I guess work is never done. And I guess if you feed everyone today you still have to feed everyone for tomorrow, and then the day after that, and like, to I guess the point where you could never prepared that much food because then it would all become crow-food." She sort of absentmindedly continued on with that rant. A smarter cat might have caught on to the kind of existential horror that they had managed to philosophically tripped and fall into, but Polarfantasy was not that kind of smarter cat, and thus only managed to acknowledge the painfully obvious.
Though slightly annoyed, Cinderthroat tried her best to ignore the she-cat that was tagging along, her voice slipping into the ambiance of her surroundings. Faintly listening to the white furred she-cat, Cinderthroat let out an, "Well you do realize that we eat the prey, and more likely than not, not everyone will have two meals everyday, yes?" Finding a soft spot between the roots of an old oak, she buried her kill, intent on adding to her catch. Turning to Polarfantasy, Cinderthroat flattened her ears and mewed, "You can either keep chirping along or you can put that mouth to use and kill something for your Clan."
