Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Puddleleap gave his back a long arching stretch. The muted white tom blinked his midnight blues as he scanned the sky. His jaws parted as if tasting it. It felt like the sky was leaning towards the forest. The tom sighed. It seemed it would rain soon. But alas he had duties to attend to. If he had remained a loner this would be about the time he would find a cave or hollowed tree to take refuge from the pending storm. But not now. Now he was a clan cat and others depended on him. His gaze shifted towards the nursery where a queen hurried her kits back into the safety of the nursery. Faint scent of warm milk drifted on the rising breeze. He gave himself a set stern nod before urging his paws towards the entrance to camp.
“Where are you headed?” Wyverndelirium called as he bounded to join the new warrior, twitching his ears briefly in greeting. “Off on a hunt?” The acting deputy glanced around them distractedly, making sure the clan was still in order and not collapsing around him. Ever since Riverstar came into power it had gotten busy and chaotic: the new leader was starting to train kits earlier and bring in more rogues and some cats disliked it. Wy was willing to give everyone a chance, but he was one of a shrinking minority.
Puddleleap looked up from his set path freezing with one paw still raised on its way to the clearing floor. "Oh us yeah actually. I thought even thought he patrol have already gone you can never have enough before a storm hits you know?" His ear twitched hoping her was making the right decision. Some clan cats seemed to have different thoughts on these kind of situations. Like only getting enough to feed in the moment and not in the long run. "Is that okay?"
"That's a great idea. Riverstar will appreciate that," Wy agreed with a nod. Their new leader seemed determined to keep every cat working every moment they were awake - no breaks, no time for rest. "I'll join you. Let's see if we can find something together." It wasn't exactly a suggestion but more of an order as the golden brown tabby fell in step beside Puddleleap. "Are we fishing or looking for land prey."
