Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Celestialglow exited the camp, her golden tabby fur illuminating in the sunlight while her green eyes sparkled. Birds chirped in the distance and the warm new-leaf breeze ruffled the leaf covered branches, creating a dance that went along with the bird song. The sun shown through the canopy of trees, dappling the forest floor in golden spots. Although the day was beautiful at the given moment, there was a static in the air indicating a possible storm on the way. She didn't mind, she enjoyed any weather. Her temperament had almost changed completely ever since she had been running around with Cutthroat. Instead of being the snappy and sassy she-cat she once was, she had learned to slow down and enjoy the beauty around her. It was like she was opening her eyes for the first time all over again. The tom had opened up a part of her that she didn't even knew existed. A much gentler and happier cat she had been hiding beneath a heart of stone.
She made her way through the forest, occasionally stopping to sniff a flower or two. She let her paws guide her to wherever they wanted with no particular destination. It wasn't long before she came to a river, the swirling of the current had her caught in a trans, it seemed. Either that or she was just lost in thought. She hadn't heard the approaching of pawsteps.

"So, are you thinking about fishing now?" Cutthroat teased as he padded up behind Celestialglow. "I hope you're not thinking about becoming one of those smelly WaterClan cats." He had been out of the camp enjoying the nice weather. Leafbare was now long forgotten in his mind, especially with Greenleaf so soon on it's way. When he spotted the beautiful she cat standing on the river bank, that made his day complete. The past several days he'd been busy going on one patrol after another and never once was paired with Celestialglow. By the time he would get back to camp, she'd be gone or asleep and when she was in camp, he'd be gone on patrol. In fact, when he left the camp this morning he had thought she was on another patrol, so it was his great pleasure to find her alone at the river.
She jumped, startled at his presence. "Oh, you startled me!" She breathed, relieved that it was Cutthroat. She wrinkled her nose at his teasing about joining Waterclan, "Ew! Gross! No way!" She pawed at him playfully. "Though a nice dip doesn't seem so bad. It's pretty hot out here!" She looked at him with bright green eyes, clearly showing she was happy to see him. She hadn't seen him in a while and was glad they were finally alone.

"It is a bit warm," he agreed as he moved closer to the water. A playful spark lit in his eyes as he swatted the cool surface causing water to splash onto Celestialglow. "Maybe we should cool off a little." Cold water had splashed on him as well and he enjoyed the refreshing feeling it gave him.

With a yell of surprise and pleasure, he fell down into the water causing a much bigger splash to come up and drench Celestialglow. After regaining his feet, Cutthroat laughed and shook his wet fur. "Now that was fun! Why don't you come in with me?" He started to move closer to her with the intent of dragging her in.

With a mischievous grin on his face, Cutthroat lunged forward and knocked Celestialglow into the water with him. "You said you wanted a dip and that you're hot," he laughed merrily. "So your wish is my command!" This felt really good. He hadn't played like this since ... since well for a long time.
She splashed into the water, her head going under a split second before she resurfaced and gained her footing. "Hey!" She laughed, splashing him. She hadn't had this much fun in a long time as well. It felt nice to have someone to mess around with. She climbed out of the water and shook out her fur, her fur sticking out in spikes like a hedgehog.

"You better watch out," Cutthroat cautioned Celestialglow as he too exited the water. "If there's a nearsighted cat in our clan out patrolling they might mistake you for a hedgehog and chase you off." He then shook his own fur causing water droplets to spray everywhere. Then moving away to a grassy patch of ground near the stream, he sat down and began to groom the water from his fur.

"I would really hate to see a hedgehog as big as a cat!" Cutthroat laughed as he paused from his grooming, then he grew serious. "Can you imagine the size of it's quills? They'd be long enough to kill a cat if they got stuck in any vital organs."

"I am dark," Cutthoat replied. "At least most of the time. But being around you ... well, you bring out a different side of me, a better side perhaps?" He smiled broadly. It was true. Until he met Celestialglow, he never really exercised this side of himself. Maybe not since when he was in the nursery.
She smiled, "me too! I actually had a light hearted conversation with Berryfrost the other day. I usually dont socialize much for the fear of losing my temper with someone. But you, youve brought out a side of me that I forgot I had.'

"Really?" Cutthroat asked a little surprised in a good way. "I'm glad to hear that. It seems we complement each other very well then." He stretched over the short distance between the two of them and began to help groom out some of the water from her fur. "Perhaps we're meant to be together," he purred softly.
She jumped every so slightly in surprise at his choice of words. Together? What did he mean by that? She wanted to pull away from his grooming but it was as if a string was tying her to him and wouldnt let her move. She felt warmth under her fur and she forced back a smile. "Together?" She asked at last after a few moments of enjoying the soothing strokes of his tongue on her fur.

"Yes, together," Cutthroat purred softly as he paused from grooming her fur. "You make me feel..." He searched for just the right words he wanted to use to convey his feelings. "Complete, whole. I really enjoy spending time with you. There is no other cat I'd rather be with. When we're a part, I feel there's something missing inside me." He gave her fur one final lick then sat back, just a little and smiled lovingly at Celestialglow.
A genuine smile parted her lips and her green eyes sparkled. A purr rumbled in her throat as she pressed close to him. "I feel the same way" she mewed in a hushed voice.

Just hearing Celestialglow admit her feelings about him made Cutthroat's heart beat harder in his chest. Was this how love felt? he wondered. Previously he had no time for love thinking that it was just a waist of time. But now he was very much inclined to rethink his position. He'd been a mouse-brain to ever think that way. "Thank you for coming into my life," he said softly into her ear.
